Sorry to break it to you bud but people lie. Not saying/accusing you of lying, but people do lie. I could sell my PKM that's had 100k rounds through it, put in the title "Almost brand new" and chances are people wouldn't know the difference (But that's scummy and tackle would bully me for it) That's literally what this channel is for lol MWS brand new: £475 Barrel (Not sure which you had but we'll use your £70) Due to the two-tone you'll be the lower end of the typical margin at 60% so... 60% of £545 = £327 65% of £545 = £354.25 So, £400 for a two toned MWS with the barrel is unreasonable by typical pre-owned sales This is such a null point, there's a lot of people buying MWS's and keeping them stock because they like the look...6 points -

Mate, without even looking at your ad, to claim something is "new", but has had 100+ bb's through it, & more importantly, has absolutely no warranty is horseshit. As for the price, as long as I've been playing, around 24 years, secondhand sales have always been priced at between 60-75% of the cheapest readily available rrp (depending on certain factors), where does yours come in those parameters ?. As for ending up on macks, this is, & always was, the only forum that allows members to critique prices (from any source), its not a personal attack on the sellers themselves usually, just on what people unrealistically believe their items are worth. Sometimes its a lighthearted giggle, but sometimes its also an exercise in preventing less knowledgeable people getting turned over, which to be fair, should be welcomed. Welcome to the forum 😉6 points -

200 rounds isn't test firing either... Probably already mentioned but just like cars, take it off the lot and it's value declines. Same thing applies here 🤦4 points -

As soon as it's fired, even one BB, it's no longer new. Much like when you buy a new car, the moment it's taken off the forecourt it's no longer new. Still money your potential buyer has to pay, meanwhile other MWS's on here are being sold (Not two toned) with NPAS's fitted etc for £450. Also using your own argument, why have you not changed out the two toned furniture? Fire support sell the same handguard (but in black) for £70, that's £70 somebody else has to pay to get rid of the blue handguard. The potential buyer has to also want that barrel otherwise it's useless tat to them, you'd be better splitting that separately. You can get a brand new MWS from HPA-UK right now for £475. To get your MWS, even with the steel barrel, you'd be spending £80 odd to replace the handguard and stock, meaning you'd be paying £5 more for a preowned MWS with a barrel you probably don't want, when you can buy one certified brand new for £5 less3 points -
“Basically new” Less than “200 rounds through it” ”Has a different outer barrel” Not basically new then is it you weapon 🙄3 points

I don’t know. Airsofters never cease to surprise me with their stupidity 😅 Can’t sell a TM G17 for 50% of retail. But someone will buy the WE equivalent, absolutely ragged, for £15 over retail because it’s got “custom” in the brand name.3 points -
A very good analogy 👏2 points

And I’m still trying to figure how out £400 is a bad asking price, I spoke in the mws chat on discord and everyone said that’s reasonable. 🤷♂️ How many people buy a mws and not change the furniture, most people have builds planned out that will chage the whole look. I see your point about it not being new the moment a bb is fired but the reason I said “basically new” is so people know it’s not been used beyond a few test firing. And the reason I haven’t change the rail etc myself is because I had a build planned and decided to switch to a vfc for said build instead. I needed to rethread the upper to take real steel Midwest industries rail, so I never got around to it yet before I decided to switch to a vfc. If you think the price is unfair then you could just say in a dm, dunno why everyone had to freak out and post it here. Like I said the mws chat are fine with the price I listed. I’m just gonna keep it anyways, to much hassle to sell and I paid £600 for it, so if I can’t even get £400 without it being “unreasonable” then I may as well just do the build I had planned and get a vfc for a separate build.2 points -
System: New Forum Software
Mr Dellski reacted to proffrink for a topic
AF-UK will be migrating to new forum software within the next few weeks. You may notice a difference in the appearance and functionality of the forums, but your posts and content will carry over. The Classifieds will be wiped and rebuilt (this includes feedback), but will be available immediately after migration. The current forum software has become a huge headache The forums run on software called IPB. Back in 2023 IPB decided to discontinue their marketplace, and ever since this has meant maintaining certain code without the assistance of authors of the various 3rd party plugins that we use for things like The Classifieds, small moderation tools and other minor tweaks that you likely don't notice like dead thread protection. Without these modules it's impossible to maintain the current rendition of AF-UK without dropping certain large features. A lot of you joined the forums for The Classifieds, and many of you solely use the forums for them so it's untenable that many of the modules that AF-UK uses don't work properly with the latest versions of IPB. We're moving to new software Migration could take as little as a week but may take up to three weeks. Downtime when the migration happens should be less than 24 hours. The new Classifieds will be more reliable and should have a few extra features when it releases with the new forums. The forums themselves will remain largely unchanged. Some data will be lost, but most will remain Although all of your accounts and posts will be retained, many items such as feedback and current classifieds listings will be wiped. Please use the next week or so to save any data that you may need as nothing is guaranteed given the age of the AF-UK database. There is still a small possibility that a full forum wipe will need to take place, but this is very unlikely.1 point -

I've already got an STV with genuine MOD dirt from fleabay, I'm a big fat lad but the LW size is still tight as hell (just as well I wasn't planning on using it), I've got a set of webbing with H-harness on it's way, a seperate Y-harness and a few other pouches for the setup. Still waiting on a few items but I'll be posting pics as soon as it's ready & the site has transferred over to it's new home. First impressions are the Osprey mk4 is a better fit than the virtus for my lard arse, but weighs a tonne when set up. Must admit I've ordered 2 sets of shock cord & cord stoppers as it took me a few attempts to find tan/coyote and bought black first, now got the right colour & thickness on it's way too. The Virtus collection will increase as time & funds allow. I did notice the buckles were 'weathered' & a bit firm but again, I'm not planning on using the STV1 point -

Yeah, it is a pretty hefty tome considering... One thing I would add.. if you are looking to buy a yoke (H or Y) and battle belt, just check if they are original or revision B... rev.B belts and the adapter between yoke and belt are slightly wider. If you have an original yoke and a Rev.B belt, you will need to cut the adapter panel in half to get it to fit. (Fortunately it's double sided velcro, so it's easy enough to secure the two halves inside the belt itself) Also, I found the clips on the STV to be quite brittle... I have had an STV for less than a year and when i inspected it on Sunday I found two clips with one of the teeth broken off and one of the guides for the waist adjuster straps has broken too, so I now need to find replacements1 point -

Public order act prohibits "paramilitary uniforms" being worn in public settings. Granted, this refers to more political aligned uniforms, But I wouldn't risk it. So is it legal? Technically, but probably not. The Police will treat all calls about firearms, gunmen, explosives, etc. as if they are real until they can discern otherwise. This can put you in a potentially dangerous encounter. Furthermore, your appearance in military fatigues with fake grenades and magazines can cause someone harassment, alarm or distress. Its not worth the hassle.1 point
