Raided AK2M4 and Luke for some upgrade parts to go in the G&P shell I got last month. One of the new XT inner barrels with the ZCI hop and maple leaf 60, plus a solink lite brushless motor. And a perun V2 and clicker plus wide boi nozzle from neg air. Going to use the G&P SR-16 lower and gearbox I already have to put this together. Next month I'm getting a bipod and a pack of G&P stanags to go with it to really lean into that 2009 vibe3 points -

Look what postman Pat brought me today, feels like Christmas. The specna edge is from stryderb, who threw in some great extras. Thanks Sam. The Mp5 from namsam is a beauty, but I will admit I had no idea how to load and use the hi caps as I'd never seen em before. I thought I'd broken them. 😆 Had to phone a friend.3 points

Think of 28 days later, Brendan Gleason looks up at a noisy crow that's been pecking at the dead, just in time for one singular drop of blood to get him in the eye, 30 seconds later he's foaming at the mouth etc, yet at other times their covered in fluids from the infected they've slaughtered, not an issue apparently lol2 points -

@Punisher3990 Here's my 2 belts Top one is set up for My Apache with 5 mags + USP with 3 mags combo. Bottom one is set up for sniper rifles (4 or 8 mags depending if L96 or VSR) and currently sand viper with 5 mags. Usually I run 2 pistols so have one on either side but really liking the sand viper at the moment so soloing that. Both holsters are on quick release adapters so can be swapped for either belt.2 points -

Sounds like a PC would fit me like a bra if that's how they should be worn 😂 Set up looks good punisher, I'll take pictures of my belts later and how I've set them up so you can see how I run the same belt. You can rock just the belt for hot weather and carry everything you need. Not gonna lie I actually quite liked the look of the backwards belt clipped to the carrier, if you find it comfortable run it! A word of caution for the belt you linked, as a bigger man the buckle will dig in and be uncomfortable very quickly, I had 2 and sold them as it was painful after less than an hour of having it on. You can get cheap belts with that style buckle on temu for ~£2 to try it before splashing out on the Emerson one to decide if you'll like it or not!2 points

Looks good and if the set up works for you that's all that matters. Don't worry about mixing up camo types, alot of people do it and anyway decent fieldcraft will always win over a fancy camouflage pattern. A case in point is when I watched a guy dressed as spiderman sneak up and get the drop on 2 guys at a woodland site.2 points -

Thank you all for your tips, I have taken them all on board. Some further info I do have a harness on in the other picture, it's just well hidden behind the PC This picture was taken before I got my sidearm, etc. I now have a Glock G17, holster, 3 pistol mags, and possibly 2 rifle mags if I don't decide to get a 6x chest pouch. Or stack the 2 mag pouches onto the vest to the left as Emergency chimp suggested. Though the site I am attending tomorrow is semi-only and these mags are mid caps 120 rds, so i doubt i will need 5 spares. I am almost definitely going to get a 2-part belt. I found an Emersongear one on Amazon. Annoyingly, I have a game tomorrow, so locked into using this one for now. Link It really, really annoys me that the trousers are a different colour to the rest I really appreciate all of the help, it will be nice to not feel like an idiot when i gear up tomorrow. Glad i decided to make this thread.2 points -

Thanks bud. No, they're completely stock. Trouble is, when the collection becomes as big as it has. I tend not to run them. I have a separate rifle and pistol for that. Plus buying boneyard (although still not cheap) makes the collection more achievable. Plus I tend to focus more on external accuracy then internal. A better pick of all the family together.....2 points -
Those are designed for the game, but don’t have any particular groin padding etc - just combat trousers etc I’d still recommend going for loose and baggy, once you’ve got some games in then you’ll have an idea what features you will want for your style Too many layers just add weight and heat retention, with the knock on effect of not knowing you’ve been shot Take away the layers and you’ll find that hits don’t hurt, and if you’re hit up close then it doesn’t last long The best protection from groin shots is to keep your groin away from barrel height, if you’re outside most shots are from people standing or knealt which should put hits from belly up - once at a distance when the BB drops over distance it’s losing velocity and energy2 points

As far as I'm aware, yes a real handguard will fit a vfc gbb. All other makes and AEGs need an adaptor, as receivers are too short. If you can find one, vfc do the correct claw mount. As for the torch and torch holder. The real torch used is a Streamlite SL20. And the holder, there is a guy on Facebook called steve leggett. How makes and sells a very close replica to the real thing. Obviously it's down to your finances and how accurate you would like to go. But a suggestion if I may!.... if that's your MP5 in the pic, I would suggest finding the older style A3 type trigger group too.1 point -

That's because new laws give the impression something is being done, creating PR opportunities, rather than actually doing something. Just look at the legislation around "zombie knives", yes they sound nasty but in reality the vast majority of knife crime is done with something that you'd find in any home kitchen. Bugger all will change but at least the daily mail reading pearl clutchers will be placated1 point -

The wide bit goes at the back, those connectors are for if you're running a shoulder harness. (Like the ol' PLCE). You don't to fill the front of a belt, it gets in the way of crouching and going prone. That wide bit lets you attach larger pouches for heavier stuff, like water bottles, gas bottles, and HPA tanks. Oh and note on fitting the plate carrier. The top of it should be in line with your collarbone. The bottom will end up slightly below your ribs, ideally. The idea is to cover your ribcage cos that's where your most important squishy bits are.1 point -

The correct scope is being made by EG with the mount and acro in FDE. The AG suppressor still looks better than the vfc one from pics but I'll directly compare them once the vfc suppressor lands later this month . UKSF versions do have some other optic and furniture options if you don't fancy the ranger/RM options1 point -

The AR design has kinda been done to death and people make a huge fuss over "new" AR-based stuff that looks exactly like every other one. I like my 416 but it does look like every other AR. But i do kinda like this. Not bothered about the L403 specifically, but i like the KS-1 dressed up like that with the foregrip and suppressor, etc. I'd rather have a black one over the FDE though. I do like an A1 triangular foregrip.1 point -
It does turn out that they have gone off to history like many smaller brands They would be worth it on a second hand buy (I sold mine, and though they were well abused they did the job and should be serving the new owner for a good while) The in thing has become skinny for those trendy young things The benefit of skinny is that there is less area to hit, which is more important in airsoft as a hit is a hit, whereas in paintball a non broken bounce is not a hit (unless in specific game types where bounces count) The thicker / soft padding in paintball being primarily to absorb energy and try not to break the ball, rather than avoiding pain The main brands remaining, unless the brand really focuses the ‘trendy’ fashion victims does tend to have at least one thicker option in the range — but will need checking out the photos and specs An option I forgot to mention is something like Anthrax paintball that sells theirs with your own design options, with off the shelf designs, partial custom (generally off the shelf with panels you can have printed) and fully custom (design your own colour scheme) I have a jersey from them in our own custom camouflage pattern, and their pricing doesn’t kill the wallet too much - if you do your own artwork there is no design fee, noting that some manufacturers have a set up fee which works out very little when kitting out a whole team but pricey for a small number https://www.anthraxpaintball.com/custom-paintball-pants1 point

Exactly the answer I've been looking for, I thought I was going mad not realizing something that should be glaringly obvious. The second notch in the hop unit was really throwing me off as all the VSR/GBB barrels I have are all single notch and all the searching I've done about replacing the barrel no one has said about filing anything down. I'll give it a go tomorrow as I'll be cutting down a spare tightbore to fit anyway so will have all the tools out. The pictures I was looking at must have been VSR barrels as they were all single notch, another Google has shown me more with the triple notch. That'll teach me for not being more thorough 🤦🏼♂️ Your replies are much appreciated guys thank you!1 point

Going with the original post from this thread I'm aware of at least one zombie series that makes repeated references to TWD about the characters repeatedly ending up covered in 'walker' blood, guts etc and yet suffering no ill effects whatsoever from being slathered head to toe in biologically hazardous/infectious fluids. However 1 tiny scratch when its needed for the plot and that's it they're done.1 point -

I know that the air cartridge (brocock ban) was a complete failure as only a small percentage that the police thought were in circulation got accounted for. In the House of Lords a few years ago they were discussing the lever release rifles as that law was changing, one of the members obviously knew his stuff and reminded his colleagues that compensation would be needed to avoid the farce of the air cartridge ban whereb 60-80 thousand went underground.1 point

ruskitseller reacted to Tackle for a topic
I'm on the fence on this, obviously i get why kit like this gets banned due to the criminal element exploiting them, but ive always wondered why they're so popular amongst a section of the law abiding general populace ?. Its not like there's a lot of opportunities to use them, safe places to fire them without inviting unwanted attention, so for most they'll be wall hangers or paperweights, in which case they should never come to the attention of the authorities ☝️, so i wouldn't lose any sleep over the ban.1 point -

For fucks sake. I not sure either as to how much of a threat incidents like these are to our sport, but it does make me shiver a bit knowing how much gear many players have amassed over the years to then be told ‘that’s all now illegal’. I don’t have much but it’d still be a nasty whack to have it all taken off me. And all because of pricks like this. How does anyone get to that age without realising that pulling shit like this is a bad idea? 🤦🏻♂️1 point -

I've been hit there are few times, but to be fair when its as big as mine, that was always gonna happen😜 Yeah, its not pleasant, but neither is taking an up close burst up the inside of your thigh, or across your lower back/kidneys. Unless your planning on doing the whole bomb suit & minigun loadout, surely finding a balance of kit that doesn't restrict you, cause heatstroke or discomfort, & generally affects your ability to play is paramount, offset by the rare chance of a stray bb to the 🌭. Sports cup, or maybe a dangler pouch worn low should do the job ?1 point
