Silentassassin, that's a really good replica, one thing I noticed, which would make it spot on, is the front and rear sights on yours need to be swapped over :P

Pistols are male in my mind - they sit around doing fuck all most of the time, unless the rules say it's them or nothing (which includes crappy spring shotties).

Totally didn't spot Silent's MBUS's being the wrong way round, Liam  it's the kind of mistake I'd make - not because we don't know which way round they go, just because the main thing on the mind would have been taking the pics, not using the sights.

My M4 is called Gun and my CQB M4 is called Gun.

Now that just shows a lack of imagination, Cap'n. Don't you know that you have to give your rifle a girl's name, cos that's the only pussy you're gonna get!?!

I have given this some thought and am pretty sure my MP5 is called Michelle as M PFiver is similar to the actress so the M must stand for Michelle.

I feel my Sten deserves a name, just not sure what yet. Any suggestions?

Perhaps Sophie, Sophie Marceau is the only female using a Mk2 Sten in IMFDB.com

^^Good thinking.

How about this though... Julie. WTF?

Weeeeeeell... the name "Sten" comes from "S 10" Submachinegun 10

Samantha in the film 10, the only female S character, is played by... Julie Andrews

STEN is an acronym, from the names of the weapon's chief designers, Major Reginald V. Shepherd and Harold Turpin, and EN for Enfield. Wasn't Bo Derek in 10? :D

Hmmm... not what I heard, but hey ho.

Bo Derek yeah. TBH, I was never that impressed with her. Just way too obvious. There's a part of me that would have enjoyed far more tying Julie Andrews dressed as a fetish nun to an X for a fully perverted session... anyhoo, she was in it as well

I named my gun sven. Its a weird story how he got the name really:

There was a gay guy in my year at school that was an all rounder creep, extreme low hygene, watched porn at school, and had a boyfriend from belgium he had never met. As you can guess his name was sven. A couple days after the story of this weird childs boyfriend getting around my school, i was skirmishing and noticed the scars trademarks stated "FN Herstal - Belgium". It was fate, she (now he) had to be named Sven.

I like to take a page out of Warhammer 40,000 and Team fortress 2 for gun names,I've finally settled on ''Litany of Litany's Litany'' for my rifle instead of the cringy shit I've considered before. Pistol still remains Whore's breath or The Pot Metal Pulverizer

It's all related to the symbols and graphics used to display hazard warnings related to explosives. Generally seen on storage containers/buildings and trucks transporting any type of explosive materials be it civilian stuff all the way through small arms ammunition up to aircraft bombs and plastics. It's all very inter-linked with the air force armament trade, we tend to get lots of custom apparel, coins, cufflinks etc done up using the same basic symbolism.

Within the military it'll generally be labels like these all over everything we work with or on:

PRODPIC-5507.png

I picked 1.1 for the engravings because that's the most dangerous stuff with the most cool factor. Stuff like P7, 500-2000lb bombs, air-to-air missiles, claymores etc would fall under the 1.1 category. The larger numbers represent lesser hazards, so 1.3 for example is just a fire hazard rather than all out explosion, things like smoke grenades and large flares.
