gavinkempsell Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Evening folks, I'm looking for recommendations for military model ranges, I lack the patience for airfix etc & carpal tunnel rules out fidly model construction so what options are there? I don't mind the likes of Kobi/Lego but really looking for quality built diecast type.
Dan Robinson Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Next time I speak to the boy, I'll ask him to go to BiCamera ... it's a Japanese tech store that has an insane range of stuff. I seem to remember going through their toy section and there being some really cool looking models. Not sure how much assembly they require, or the brand names. Perhaps they'll be available some how through mail order some where. Another idea would be to find a Warhammer or D&D forum and see if they have any ideas. gavinkempsell 1

There's a lot of crossover in the tabletop gaming community. Have a look through the forums here: https://www.dakkadakka.com/ gavinkempsell 1

Popular Post John_W Posted May 3, 2024 Popular Post Posted May 3, 2024 If you want reasonably simple, try Flames of war. The older stuff is white metal but the more recent stuff and the "Team Yankee" WW3 stuff is all plastic. Jacob Wright, Airpig41, ruskitseller and 2 others 3 2
ButcherBill Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 I finally decided to go down the modelling route, hands currently dotted with Revell enamel paint.

Egon_247 Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 I wish I had the time to do this. I live directly opposite a model shop and they have a butt ton of awesome looking stuff. All of the lads in there do Airsoft aswell which kinda helps the conversations we've had about paints and whatnot. ? ButcherBill 1
Cannonfodder Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 Very nice. I've got a couple of airfix kits I've had for years that I never seem to get round to starting
ButcherBill Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 (edited) It's an attempt to buy less airsoft pews (not many I don't already have that I want(famous last words)), I might have simply moved from one collection to another tho, already looking at air compressors... DOH! Edited August 16, 2024 by ButcherBill Egon_247 1

ButcherBill Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 Got plenty vintage-ish airsoft on my walls.
ButcherBill Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 (edited) The end result, quite chuffed with it tbh. I'm sure my old SM would have a fit if I left any weapon like this tho. Edited August 19, 2024 by ButcherBill John_W, Airpig41, Egon_247 and 1 other 1 3
ButcherBill Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 (edited) Can you tell I've taken a step back from spending my kids inheritace on airsoft? Spending it on 'other things' Hands up if you've spend your fair share of time in the back of a crowded landy. Edited August 30, 2024 by ButcherBill John_W, Rogerborg and Cannonfodder 2 1
John_W Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Looking for something simple, and ended up building a "Toon" B24. ButcherBill, DJsnipe and Lozart 1 2
ButcherBill Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 I'm so envious of the modellers in an faceache page I joined, they put my cack handed efforts to shame.
ButcherBill Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Not much airsoft related news or purchases from me lately but here's some more plastic, glue & paint. DJsnipe, John_W and Rogerborg 3
ButcherBill Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Got a little army of my own now, shame they're the wrong scale... lead figures tho. Rogerborg 1
ButcherBill Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Another non airsoft build, can you spot the pews? Rogerborg 1
