Steveocee
Primary and 140% recoil have turned up just now. May be having a play with those later.
Steveocee
80psi and with 0.25g BB's I'm getting between 280 and 296 with around 293/295 the most common. Hop is not set as I don't have the range so need to factor that in a bit but not too shabby. Puts it very near the 1J marker I "prefer" to play with indoors. Expecting the PDI barrel to nudge it over which sits it squarely in the same region as my capa's. The upgraded nozzle valve spring should calm that variation down a bit as well. Ran a couple of mags through, doesn't feed quite as nicely as my capa setup does but it does enough and they are dinky cheap little mags not the Ares 140's i usually play with. I have a daft question to ask here.... how do you know what PSI you're getting? Unless you're HPA'ing (is that even a word?) the pistol I hazard to guess? Unless you're HPA'ing (is that even a word?) the pistol I hazard to guess? Primary Glock>M4 HPA adapter arrived earlier today. 80psi is about that of the weaker duster gas, 110psi is touted as green gas but as our climate is fairly cold we rarely see above 90psi from our green. AlphaBear
Ahhhh I see what you mean now. Gotcha. My gas knowledge is limited to Abbey Green, Abbey Ultra Predator (Red can but still classed as Green) and Nuprol black which I dare not try in this pistol. leadly
Well look what I collected today! Just had a quick test fire. 1 full gas fill on nuprol green that's been kept near the tumble dryer has chucked 1.5 drums worth of BB's so far I reckon. A mixture of semi and full auto firing. It's a weighty beast but with the stock on and holding my left hand around the torch it feels well supported and near enough centred. I'll hopefully have a play in the day time and record some footage after I've taken the kids to school this week! I wonder if they make that stock extension in FDE otherwise it will be Krylon.. (meh). So one gas fill is enough for about 500bbs? That's impressive. So how much gas do you reckon get's pumped into it?

Very much so. I fancied a parrallel path to my Hi Capa. For outdoors I have an SRS sniper and a G&G SRS P* although I am tempted to try the AAP in a few "closer range" outdoor scenarios. leadly

Steveocee
PDI barrel arrived this morning. What a beauty she is as well! Even has the oring at the end to ensire it's centered correctly and ideal length of 129mm. Strange how the ZCI was only 1mm longer but seemed to sit so much further forward. Anyway, installed it this evening and couldn't help but do a quick test fire. Again at 80psi I was getting roughly 300fps with a 0.25 which is about perfect for what I want. I have noticed though a fairly bad feeding problem only getting about 1 in every 3 or 5 shots a BB comes through. When I strip down for the nozzle valve spring I'll look into this more closely but did also notice the flow valve in the mag is leaking as well so that's going to get pulled out, lubed and then likely upgraded. I assume the barrel doesn’t stick out of the front end right? I mean protruding more than the outer barrel. Oh you all know what I mean lol

Stock barrel is 129mm from what I can find and PDI have copied this, you can get away with a 130mm but I wouldn't want anything more without a suppressor or tracer. AlphaBear
I'd be interested to hear how much difference in accuracy of groupings the PDI barrel makes over the stock barrel... I appreciate it's a pistol and not an AEG length barrel and in addition I guess you need to have an appropriate distance to test over say 30m-40m? I mean what's the general expectation of this pistol? It's not gonna be MK23 type level but would still be interesting to know what to expect.... Have a look at my earlier pictures. This has the PDI MK23 barrel which is 133mm long. Without the compensator on the Mamba upper or the thread protector on the standard receiver you can just see the end. With the mamba compensator it is fine. With the thread protector only it protrudes about 1mm.

Steveocee
Installed the charging ring and flared magwell last night. removed a short stroke and I think it just about solved the feeding issues. Bit low I can only use 1 buffer but to be fair it's plenty fast enough as it is anyway. got a bit of an issue in that the primary adapter doesn't fit with the magwell so need to "adjust" one of them but not sure which. Any ideas?
Skara
Magwells seem to be an issue for people running HPA taps or drum mags, most people just don't use them. If it's a small amount of material that needs to be removed, I'd say go ahead and dremel the crap out of it (magwell, wouldn't touch the adapter). Seems an amount of dremeling resulted in me achieving my goal.
