The price paid for aesthetics. How long of a barrel do you end up with? ruskitseller

Currently mine has the stock barrel still in it but from the end of the threads on the outer it adds maybe 50mm, 40mm of useable space if you wanted a longer inner. Of course now its done I can make it longer or shorter. I mainly did this to give me more room to hang onto it as a foregrip on the original handguard was cramped. That is a great job - thanks for sharing. I see some premium models coming out that are rather expensive... You have nailed the look. Is any of it 3d printed? mightyjebus
yeah, the fake bolt release and the dimpled barrel are 3D printed. I need to finish modelling the fire selectors which will be 3D printed until my CNC machine turns up and then I'm planning on making them out of Aluminum. ruskitseller

Ah cool - out of interest, how much would one expect roughly on recreating such a thing of beauty please? Edited January 6 by ruskitseller

Sadly it's going to be a 1 of 1 simply because finding all the parts is becoming a pain and extra expensive as everything needs to be shipped from Asia. ruskitseller

Yes I am not surprised, I was going to try making one myself and using the Lancer Tactical - 32 13" Gen 3 as a base but it would need a lot of work and money to get it close...if you half shut your eyes and look at it through binos the wrong way around...KS-1 from Wish Edited January 6 by ruskitseller

Because i bought an AEG barrel for my MP5 not realising that they use an AEP barrel and bucking. Since i've bought another MP5 NGRS and i have this already it made sense to convert it. (And AEG barrels are half the damn price of MP5-specific ones.) The only apparent difference being the two slots in the sides to locate the bucking and the groove up front for an O-ring. The_Lord_Poncho Posted Friday at 10:25 Share Posted Friday at 10:25 A horizontal pouch to house a little 13CI HPA bottle, keeping it nicely tucked out of the way and not bouncing around on the back of the belt. Primarily for use with my recently converted L96 with a Mancraft SDIK. I couldn't find any ready made solutions on the market, so resorted to making my own with leftover bits and bobs that I had+ a 20 year old sewing machine! LMKipper Posted Friday at 13:38 Share Posted Friday at 13:38 Another day, another nozzle for a Tanaka - this time a set of three for @Impulse The Kar98k nozzle was a little different, in that it needed a thread running through it internally for a power restrictor. Anonymoose
Few little jobs today: The barrel on my SCAR-H SSR has a necked down section just behind the flash hider that looked odd. Had a spare M16 thread protector that i bored out and cut down. Bit of test fitting and light cuts to get the flash hider clocked to have the flats vertical. It doesn't look quite right but it's better. Also made an ally charging handle for it, instead of the plastic one it came with. Just needs painting now: Then converted a spare 18C to a 17 G3 as i'm nicking the full-auto bits for another build. Some little milling cuts inside the slide and made a "spacer bar" that sits under the rear sight: ButcherBill, TheFull9, Rogerborg and 1 other 3

Supporters TheFull9 Posted 5 hours ago Supporters Share Posted 5 hours ago More modded than made, and not me but @Anonymoose (absolutely top bloke). Outer barrel lathed; gas block mounting area cut down from a full M16 front sight length down to the compact block length for the Geissele style gas block. Little mill cut done on the top for the locating pin. Also drilled the bottom to add a slot for the locking spring pin, since neither of the original 6 o'clock slots in the barrel for the mil spec front sight pins lined up with the hole in the new block. Mag release button hole in a totally unknown blank AEG receiver set filed just slightly, now fits the BJ Tac Geissele mag release which EBA listed as AEG, but I reckon is probably GBB. I believe I've fitted a GBB mag release to my Krytac LVOA though so fingers crossed this will actually function correctly once the gearbox goes in.
