That's awesome. reminds me of something I'm messing around with currently

Gotta love a G11 - and all the other '90/'00 'space guns' for the ACR/OICW programs.

I'm starting to gather reference pictures for a Steyr ACR - mainly to test my surface modelling skills with more complex shapes. Gonna be a pig to model with my limited 'skillz'.

I'm also taking a crack at the original HK XM8 concept art (by an Audi designer!)  when they figured that the G36 wasn't sexy enough for the yanks. It's batshit bonkers - but I like it.

Maybe use the XM8 as a base?

Well one of the reasons I got my recent Tanaka was that is had a Spartan hop but for some reason, the standard nozzle. This meant it didn’t seal well with the Spartan hop, with inconsistent fps. Long out of production, someone sent me the correct length of the Spartan unit. Measured the Tanaka stocker, then whizzed this up on my lathe in 20 mins. Let’s see how it tests!

When all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail.

When you have a lathe, a mill and a welder, everything is whatever the hell you want it to be.

The only reason I miss my old job, as well as my own workshop I had access to 4 others, correction 5, & pretty much every tool under the sun, cnc mills to plasma cutters to mini diggers, & everything in between.

20 years of reckless spending and i have a better equipped workshop at home than any place i've worked. It's nice to be able to go into the garage and fix or make anything.

(Shame i don't own the house. ☹️)

Ironically, what tools i have at work fit in the boot of my little Peugeot runaround.

So not necessarily gun related, but gear related.

Printed this ornamental skull and stand to put an old facemask on 😃

Got the idea from an American company doing them.

Not 100% finished yet as I'm waiting for a couple of parts but thought I'd share the progress so far of my KS-1.
