Another purchase from Stryderb (Sam) from here. Absolutely love it, phenomenal rate of fire. (26 rps) Couple of free mags as well. Can't wait to get a tracer for it. Thanks Sam.

I was comparing felt recoil on my VFCs this afternoon and took the opportunity for a family photo.

What's the ranking?

Very nice 🤌

Rebuilt an old S&T IDZ Stock to fit to my VFC after discovering a new one would cost £40+ from China. Also managed to fit an S&T "Enhanced" Gas Block to my standard VFC barrel meaning I don't need to take a gamble on Clutch Precisions shitty QC just for the sake of having a "correct" gas block. All that's left to do now is get the KA4 top rail to replace the plastic IDZ and then my VFC G36KA4 GBBR will be "done" (It never is done though, lets be real...)

not even once

Their hop unit tdc thingy for the g36 looks good, hopefully the ka4 rail isn’t bad too as it’s essentially all one piece… 🤞

Have you seen the Jaeger video where he looks at their STANAG conversion? Wow what a hunk o' junk.

Apparently the MG36 barrels were sent out wonk on a few batches, and they made the muzzle device bores too narrow so they chopped BBs as well.

I don't think I'd trust them to make something as tightly toleranced as a TDC hop. 😅

Yeah, I've heard all of the horror stories! Their barrels also cause pews to go into full auto due to the barrel QC causing them to slide more inwards. Sadly to my knowledge they're the only ones making steel barrels and the correct KA4 parts though 😢

I just tested my G36 and the gas block comes loose from the recoil, the handguard seems to retain it though so I may just put up with a wobbly gas block rather than a terrible barrel 😂

Very nice. Thoughts on it?  Where did you buy it from?

I’m wondering if I should short cut a couple of years of intermediate GBBR purchases and go straight to a VT as an end game gun. Once you’ve been through a few MWS/VFC/GHKs you’re kind of on the way to VT money anyway is my thought.

Yea pretty much this, Ive had expensive TM's VFC's and GHK's so the natural progression was to get a VT which was literally inspired by Explosive enterprise and Badabing. Mine was purchased from CRW london, I think they're the only way to get a VT in the UK other than a proxy through the GBBR Discord. CRW seems to stock a small amount but will take a some what custom order for different variants but I think the wait is several weeks if not longer.

It was extremely expensive at £1850 but the quality is extremely nice, receivers are 6061 aluminum 'Forged CNC' bodies which is apparently the equivalent to a real civilian spec AR and utterly overkill for airsoft. I havnt shot it much at all as im more of a collector apparently it needs a few thousand bb's through it to ware in which mine more than likely wont experience🤣

Back when my grey Scorpion was fresh out of the box, made for a good platform to build on. The hype for these has obviously thoroughly died off compared to a few years ago, but I features-wise I really like these as something inbetween the NGRS and a standard AEG. Definitely 'feels' close to the real thing and takes real handguards etc with usually minimal work.

Is the build noticeably better/different in the hands compared to your previous GBBRs?

My current MWS clone feels sturdy, but I’m pretty sure a couple of mild drops or knocks will show up its pot metal origins.

I’m more of a player than collector, but I like the idea of a solidly built gun I can put 000s of rounds through and have it build up a patina of use over its life without having to baby it too much.

You can throw them around a lot more on the field, just drop it onto concrete to pull out a sidearm and not worry if the gun will be happy about it.

That said, they're also not indestructible and they have a long break-in period. They seem to perform pretty great overall though.
