Around christmas time I think I might start getting parts to make a block2, but no internals. I don't really have the cash to buy a whole new gun so I could make a gutted one then swap out the GB and motor to go into the new receiver. Thats if i dont end up buying a CM18. Does anyone know where to get a block2 part sheet/list at full resoplution?

I carry Midcaps and a backup Hi Cap. I can burn through all my midcaps in an hour of play and have to get out the Hi.

There is a lot more shooting in the general run of Airsoft compared to real life. Airsoft is a day of continuous contact

Players would have to be issued with a fixed number of BBS at the start if they were all expected to fight evenly using 'realcap' magazines.

There would be a lot less shooting which might be more realistic but would be boring as hell.

I play to shoot people and be shot. not to sit around for hours waiting for a couple of minutes of contact.

I think you've summed up the main difference between skirmishing and milsim.

I think the mindset of skirmishers and simmers is very different. To the latter, an airsoft weapon is just a part of the experience; its another piece of equipment. The fun of milsim is more about the immersion of a scenario. Things like using vehicles, handling a range of military equipment and proper planning and execution. Neither is right or wrong, its just about what you enjoy as a recreational player.

Judging from the mass of Paraclete pouches between the 3, the guy in the middle and on the right are wearing an RAV not sure on the left hand guy though

All three are wearing Paraclete RAVs in various configurations.

Photo is pre-AVS by a number of years, I'd say 2008-9 I I were to take a guess.

The RICAS is made by warrior assault systems and has probably never been worn by any US serviceman since they're not berry compliant.

Aren't such things designed primarily to be small and compact ?? so it doesn't impede on your hips when crawling, bending down, running in the monkey crawl position, in and out of windows and buildings

At least body armours got better since I was in :)

Bloody steel plates, felt like you had a snake wrapped around you, couldn't have it to lose or it would break your nose or something when running

it's a little bit over, but you could probably make the money back by selling some of the pouches:

I don't think it includes the pouches, i'll look around but its still an option

I think in the most part you'll be hard pressed to find a good, quality PC with pouches for less than £100, maybe even £150, here are three pretty decent ones, but they may be out of your price range:

I've got a WAS DCS and I'm very happy with it, and it does bear a striking resemblance to the CPC type carriers that are around.
