  1. At UK 2.3j the goal for accurate shots is 80m I find, anything over that is generally inconsistent/luck to one shot one kill. What weight and make of BB are you running? (brand is less of an issue now days though) You want to be shooting .45s or above really.
  2. Just chiming in my experience with handling this gun: it doesn't taking modding very well. The plastic piston head will break if you put anything more than a m110 in it and the gearbox is a bit swiss cheese as it is concerningly easy to file down. The hop unit is also somewhat propietary as the bb tube is placed a bit closer to the gearbox compared to other aftermarket units which can create feeding and fps issues. Currently, i'm havng issues with getting a perun to work in it (because precock), likely due to the sensor positioning as the screw holes are slightly off spec, and you also have to file down a circular screw holder because it gets in the way. The piston is not resetting in the same position every time, leading to feeding issues, firing a BB once every 3/4 shots which is unuseable. All in all, it's good for the price and it performs well but only if you don't mess with the gearbox as it's really only rated for what it can already handle.

Hey all, selling this licensed Sig Sauer P226 I got a while back from a friend. This is an exceptionally built pistol, feels amazing in the hand with a good blowback and overall shooting experience despite the slide being polymer. It comes in a different box. I got this pistol from a friend who has never played airsoft but used to use it for a little plinking. It had been stored for years with no gas in so I had low expectations but I put some gas in and it holds gas perfectly, truly a testament to the build quality. The hop up is easily adjustable with your fingernail by locking the slide back. It has no trouble hopping .25s but I don't know about anything higher. Asking price is £80, collection preferred but delivery can be arranged for £10, shipped with paypal goods and services for your peace of mind and mine. Thanks for reading, if you have any questions don't hesitate to message me.

Hey all! So here is my other GHK for sale, this is a pre COVID GHK so no issues that I can think of. Not open to trades I'm sorry to say as I'm reducing my collection. So everything in the package: -Installed:Ghk AKS74 -Real Bakelite pistol grip -Full travel kit (just remove the plastic stopper under the dust cover for full travel) -Full steel bolt (!) -Comrade Quiche TDC Hop Mod -Maple Leaf Hop Unit -Maple Leaf Crazy Jet inner barrel -Maple leaf bucking -Adjustable nozzle (so you can change the FPS with an Allen key) -3 leak free mags (these were originally black but have been painted bakelite) -W&S steel trigger assembly -Soviet tourniquet on the stock for ultimate style -incread recoil rod (I think) Spares/extras: -Hephateuts Simulated real recoil spring rod -speed loader adapter -3x CO2 valves to swap the existing ones to DH mod the mags so they run off CO2 bottles instead (sodasteam bottles). Very useful for winter but also very finicky as it dries your o rings out. -Valve tool -Polymer Pistol Grip -Original aluminium bolt but the recoil rod is bent so not entirely useable but I'll throw it in anyway Issues/things to note: -Sometimes semi will rarely double fire for some reason, not sure why (this is the only issue with the gun really) -There is ware on the exterior, as all AKs should have! Might be an odd grub screw missing here and there for the barrel assembly but doesn't affect anything, still solid. This thing kicks like a mule! FPS can go as low as you'd like. I normally run black gas in colder days and have it set for around 1 joule. Can send a pre recorded video of it firing in the back garden on WhatsApp if you'd like, it won't let me post here. PayPal fees and postage extra (postage might cost a bit due to the weight). Will also throw in a free hard case to ship it in (it has seen better days however) Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions! Ps. Given the nature of these guns and how miss use can cause issues, I'm unable to offer refunds if anything goes wrong with the gun so all sales are final. Happy to help over messages however if any issues arrise the first couple of weeks!

  5. Got the Howard Leights, they are decent enough but get your head hot and are annoying with a cap. Got the surefire, decent enough but found a bit of a fiddle and ache after half a day. Got the Howard Leight Laser Lite squishys (they fit nice). I've played CQB for years and never had anything loud enough to really need them. Before splashing loads of cash I'd check what sites you plan to play at allow, most ban the TAG stuff which can get crazy. BFGs (quake8, oshi, etc) I've never worried about (most places ban the 12 gauge blanks, which are loud). Strikeforce in Gloucester use some really loud disposable pyro, had one go off between my feet and it was an 'interesting' experience but even then didn't cause any issues without earpro. If you're going somewhere new i'd suggest stick a couple packs of squishys in your bag just in case.
  6. Natural fibre is an absolute dick to work with preparing etc, so that is why it costs so much. A 200m spool of properly produced Jute at 4/5mm diameter can be upwards of £400 on its own, before anything has been done with it. Basically, its monstrously overkill for airsoft, but then some donkeys run around with real plates in so..
  7. Ahoy, welcome, and yup, /thread, basically. It's best not to change too many things at once, as then you'll never be sure what's helped, done nothing, or made it worse. Maple Leaf Macaron 60 plus an "omega" style nub is my go-to. I've messed around with flat hops, R-hops and S-hops but why bother when the Maple Leafs do such a good job? This combination, although ak2m4 is off this week and not taking orders: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/hop-up-buckings-nubs/maple-leaf-macaron-60-nub Opinions will vary and you'll see 50 suggested (especially in colder weather when the rubber will be harder) or 70 (from Johnny Abroadlander where it's scorchio). I've tried both without noticing much of a difference at UK power levels, so now just stick to 60. While you've got the barrel out, give it a through clean through using a rod, cleaning patch and isopropanol or your solvent of choice. You'd be amazed how much oil and grease some barrels ship with, and they can spunk more badness down there over time from whatever's coming out of the cylinder or magazine. That'll help accuracy / consistency. Ultimate range is determined by the muzzle energy, which is a different subject. But if you're getting anything between 1J - 1.13J using 0.28g BBs (or as heavy as your hop can lift and your wallet stand) then you'll be competitive with anyone else. It's rare that those last 2 or 3 metres of range really matter, compared to having correct and consistent hop applied.
  8. That seemed to me like a very sensible test (I was the one flagging up that Ultrair, according to specs on one site I'd seen it has silicone lube in it. I'll try to find it. I don't think I count as the 'hive mind' ) So I tried with the three gases at hand to me right now, squirting them each at a sheet of A4 printer paper: 1) Nuprol 1.0 - made the paper wet with the first shot, but that evaporated leaving no residue. Subsequent squirts didn't do anything to the paper 2) Abbey Predator Ultra - no wetness, no residue 3) Abbey 144a Maintenance Gas - yay! some white film left on paper, evaporated to leave no lasting effect though So... huh. Maybe standard gas does have a very low amount of lube in it, such that we can't see it. Maybe it needs a lot of the gas under continued pressure to make its presence felt? Edit: I tried squirting the gases at hard plastic... again only the Maintenance gas seemed to act differently, leaving a change in appearance, but no change to the fingertip feel. On the one hand I guess it won't take much change of slipperiness on a hop rubber to affect it. On the other, it seems unlikely that the short puff of gas for each shot is really going to deposit much of anything on there. Edit2: It seems the American version of Ultrair may contain lube, but not the Euro version. That's not super-certain either way, but I think I'd take the previous perceived wisdom that Ultrair does not contain lube and go with that. Apologies. Edit3: Maybe I apologised too fast Here's where I got Ultrair has lube in it from... https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/asg-ultrair-power-gas-520ml

    Monolith Loadout

And I need to say this too, if anyone on here has a monolith loadout or anything stalker related (the games, not court orders lol), feel free to post here, I'd love to see everyone's interpretations of different factions!
  10. The OP didn't mention if he usually does woodland or CQB but here's my thoughts on GBBR's. I have a few: GHK SIG 552, GHK AKMS, TM AKX, VFC M4A1, VFC MP5SD, AGM M4, WE PDW, WE SCAR L, WE M4 CQB, Marayama ACP9K G Pro, TM MP7 x 2, KWA Scorpion, KWA Mac11, TM Siaga 12K and a Beretta SMG from 1987 which is more of a wallhanger. I did have a TM MWS but sold it a while back when I fell out with GBBR's but now think I need another or the DE clone. I've also got a couple of the GBBR 10/22's but I'll discount them from this waffle as they are set up for sniping. I don't use GBBR's at woodland sites during walk on days simply because I'm outgunned or more accurately out ammo'd. I tend to use my TM recoils, KWA T10 or GBLS on those days and get a similar level or recoil to keep me happy. When I use GBBR's it's mostly CQB sites and I don't run anything over .28 tracers as there doesn't seem to be a need. If I need more range the I just get a bit closer. I tend to carry at a minimum 6 mags when using GBBR's as anything less means I'm half fighting and half reloading after running away. I also carry at least one pistol speed loader and a fake grenade that is actually a gas can so I can top up my mags if needed. I've fired quite a few RS rifles over the years and I'd say the recoil on a GBBR is similar to a 22 LR round. Some GBBR's do a better job of increasing the realism, for instance, the TM MP7 has the bolt smashing into the rear, right next to your ear and this increases your perception of the noise from firing but to everyone else it just sounds like a GBBR. Firing hot can be an issue and I've found that using the Vorsk gas either number 6 on hot days or number 8 on colder days gets me through the chrono without issues. By using the different numbers I don't need to worry about fitting Npas's although in the WE GBBR's and 10/22's I've fitted Npas's. Looking at reliability, the TM GBBR's all work perfectly if kept stock and you want to use up to .28's. If you decide to go for heavier ammo then you go into the modding world and it can go either way until you hit the right combination. What works for some people doesn't always work for others. My GHK's both work very well stock and I'd put them as the same reliability as my TM's. Some people have had issues but my only issue has been with the GHK mag base plate falling off and loosing a spring and follower which was $8 to replace but still a pain in the arse. My VFC M4 again works all the time and it's a Gen1 version and I bought a bunch of spares, ready for it to collapse in a heap but I haven't needed to use any of the spares yet. The MP5SD took a bit of work and aftermarket parts to get it firing consistantly but now it's a steam train. I've slated WE GBBR's before and all mine are Gen 1 closed bolt version and work ok'ish in good weather but the Mags are a terrible design. It's a clam shell design with the worlds biggest square o ring that you will need to eventually fill with silicon and wait 24 hours to see if it still leaks. I wouldn't recommend WE as a first GBBR simply because you could come away with negative feeling about GBBR's at the end of it. My KWA scorpion is awesome and the MAC 11 will either work fantastically or vent all the gas depending on how it feel that day. I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned maintenance but GBBR's require cleaning now and again to stop the working parts getting gummed up from dust, twigs, leaves, bits of chopped BB's etc. It's good practise to wipe the bolt and upper recess where the bolt travels down and re-lubricate along with cleaning the barrel and hop up chamber at least every couple of games. Just like the RS versions, grease attracts dust etc which can effect the function of a GBBR. I was going to mention that the Marayama ACP9 G, the MPX and the up and coming ACP9 are all excellent little SMG's with the Marayama taking 50 round glock mags but you will probably end up buying a MWS
  11. Is there anything you don't like about the viper vx gear? If not then why not get a new set? My recommendation for chest rigs is always the SADF M83 chest rig. I'm no way a big guy and mine fits my skinny body with more room for adjustment. Lastly and mostly only because nobody else has posted it, there's always this😁 https://www.evike.com/products/31263/
  12. I'll be honest this is looking very much like the airsoft equivalent of Fyre festival . Just from a numbers point of view . You need 1000 paying players just to get the primary prize money from admissions and that's without taking into account the rest of the event costs which for something of this size would be substantial. The website gives no real detail but just one line bullet points of the week. The website also shows a fire service presence on site for the week which i am highly dubious of having worked with blue light services for various events and organisations. No information on the people running the event or even their identity , no limited company registered that i can find , no indication that the amount of interest is actaully there to make the event viable at this stage. I do not envy the organisers trying to get this started and appreciate the effort it takes to get this kind of event set up . However without anything more solid I just don't see it as viable. I am surprised at some of the "sponsors" of this event as if it does turn out to be a fyre festival type affair there are some big, well trusted names that would need to ask themselves some very serious questions down the line

  14. I bit the bullet yesterday, an e-mail from BBGUNS4LESS offering me 5% off of my unplaced order / basket triggered it, and a Double Eagle M908A is now on the way to be setup as a DMR. In the UK right now there are only two retailers left with it in stock, BBGUNS4LESS and High Pressure Airsoft, which is a little frustrating considering that TaiwanGun has the entire M90X range in stock. I'm not a speedyboi, and enjoy hanging back a bit and playing support, so I've wanted something to use as a DMR for quite a few months and the M908A fits the bill for me. A few things that swung it for me are the longer battery cable (I use a GATE deans extension cable in my M904E), a metal receiver with only one selector so I can drill and tap a hole in it to screw in a bolt for mechanically locking it to semi-only (not everywhere will allow a DMR's MOSFET just to be set to single shot on all modes), quick change spring, the rip off GATE Titan so that in the future I know for certain I could swap in a genuine Titan easily if I wanted to, and I've taken apart my M904E's gearbox multiple times now so I'm happy to do this and the M908A's will be identical. I won't initially be doing anything major to it, but may have to if the stock piston gets chewed up (the stock rack is part metal teeth with the rest plastic, we'll see what happens), and will stick with the stock 385mm inner barrel but will swap in a Maple Leaf Macaron 70 degree + omega nub + Gearparts M120 spring (with an M130 bought as well just in-case). The stock DE piston head and spring guide both have bearings, so I'm thinking this will compress the M120 spring more than usual and get me close to my primary sites 420 FPS DMR limit. I'm going to start with 0.30g BBs, so that's why I'm using the 70 degree bucking and omega nub, and this should hop them happily. My only concerns are that my eyesight isn't what it used to be, so I'll play one game with it and may invest in a flip-to-side magnifier (nothing too cheap, but still a clone) if I do get good range, and also that the stock motor may not have enough torque to do the job (and if not it's then do I go with a brushed high-torque or a Warhead Base motor).
  15. I've no experience with them, but you've done the right thing by not opening it up, I'd recommend you email patrol base & then follow it up with a phone call, if they recommend anything other than returning it, ask them to confirm their advice via return email, & should it still have an issue, insist on a full return for refund or exchange, depending on what YOU want. Unfortunately vorsk aren't known for qc, so it could be a one off lemon, or a generic issue with them ?
  16. Hi, Played this morning (Driver Woods) and had a few problems with my LPVO (Vortex crossfire). As it was quite cold outside I had condensation on the glass. I think it was just from the outside. It was difficult to make anything out through the optics as everything looked like it was foggy. How do you handle that during game play. Do you carry a soft ‘glasses’ cloth in your admin pouch?
  17. I've got TM red, white & green shells and as far as I'm aware the differences are cosmetic only - which is why I got them in the first place - they're gasless mags so no reason why they'd influence anything other than feeding. Got mine from Fire Support. Sometimes it's better the devil you know.
  18. Thank you all for the above. I have tried the hot water over the outer barrel, and still having issues. I cannot seem to break that initial seal on the thread. I’ve removed the outer barrel but it’s only 10-12 cm long and cannot be gripped with anything to give me some extra force 🥲
  19. If you're near Reading - Look at Z-Mart CQB in Newbury, its in a sectioned off area of a Shopping centre, ran be the guys who used to run the old abandoned mall Site in reading iirc (Might be wrong). Not heard anything bad about the site.
  20. Anyone used short mags? Particular the 240ish round double mags. Anything to note, other than lower capacity?
  21. Even as stripped to components Germany is bloody awful and requires loads of paperwork. I wouldn't fuck about with Turkish plod. If anything goes wrong... Post to Russia via Royal Mail is still fine. Take the things apart and declare as parts, but you've no insurance if it all goes wrong. Russia Start date: 28 February 2022 Latest Update: 26 June 2023 End date: Ongoing Incident: Service availability Latest Update We are still despatching postal items to Russia. We are continually monitoring the situation and will provide an update if there are any changes to our service moving forward.
  22. Cyma are a solid choice for anything these days. Krytac and G&G are both worth a look too, though they're a bit pricey for what they offer.
  23. Going through Istanbul, anything other than shipping it internationally, probably not a chance in hell - its nigh on impossible to properly document them to meet the Turkish requirements for importing firearm replicas, even those in transit to elsewhere.
