  1. Hi everyone. Got into Airsoft but I haven’t liked the woodland maps too much. I want an outdoor sight where the maps are not like ‘woodland’ with trees, big bushes etc… but rather where they make the map, like with barrels, wooden walls etc etc. I don’t like the woodland atmosphere where you can barely see anyone or anything. I like maps that have all artificial/man-made cover with objects. It’s much easier to see people and much easier to navigate the map and see the objective. I went Mayhem for the call of duty experience once for a friends birthday and the maps were amazing. I know this sight offers skirmish days but not every week. does anyone know of any sights that offer this in the London area.
  2. Currently looking for an AK. Please let me know via my advert if you have anything you're looking to shift:

  3. Do not know, didn't spot anything that looked like a good all day car park on the way in or out, was my first time attending and their website/staff certainly don't mention that. Looking at google maps there's at least 1 standard pay-and-display car park close enough that carrying all one's equipment might be safe/viable, potentially, haven't really dug in to it as the site is a decent distance from me so it won't be my regular or anything (plus I need my guns sorting lol).
  4. ... while you here, Mr Commando, have you tweaked anything on your '416? I did ask in an earlier post if it's worth replacing the hop rubber, or anything else, but I have to say my as-good-or-better-than-AEG group I got with 0.40's means I might not need to do anything really... but useful advice is always welcome!
  5. My recent travails with my otherwise beloved Double Eagle have indicated a failing Falcon Fire Control Unit (it's a decent MOSFET with some active braking + burst modes etc) To combat this I firstly bought a 904G (because it's exactly the same internals) as the Falcon units aren't available as spares. And then I bought a Falcon unit as one became available! This has allowed me to fix my DE M906C (yay! but it's still needing some work, more on that later) And I have a fully working DE M904G with a better barrel and hop combo installed. Time to "science the shit out of it" and see which is better! Now the 906C is not stock. It has had the super-easy upgrade of the Maple Leaf 50deg Macaron bucking, paired with an Omega nub fitted. When I tested this on installation, I didn't find much difference, but the guns shoots very accurately and consistently to decent distances. The 904G has had a ZCI tight-bore inner barrel and ZCI rotary hop fitted. Both things are widely recommended on these forums. A Prometheus hop rubber has also been fitted. How can we tell which is better? I set them both up with my Visionking 1.25-5x scope, set it at 5x, roughly zeroed and then grouped 20 shots. (Apologies for mislabelling the 906C target) Pretty much sod-all difference! If anything the 906C is better, as the 904G had a tendency to throw a couple of real flyers into the mix during zeroing. A couple of minor observations: 1) The 904G has been well shimmed, sounds pretty good. The 906C has still got the factory shimming and sounds like an asthmatic ant with some heavy shopping in comparison, though there seems to be no loose movement in the gears. 2) Both are running the stock grey motor (Chaoli? (sp???)). The 904G runs warm after spamming semi, the 906C still tends towards "frying tonight" even with the new control unit running things. More backing for the idea it's badly shimmed? 3) The 904G is chrono-ing at 280fps with 0.28s and no hop, which is decent. The 906C was at a little less (there's always some hop applied, thanks to the nub) Perhaps the 906C is too tightly shimmed? Better too loose than too tight ... in this context I've tried different motor heights, but the better it sounds the faster it heats up. Anyway, I think I'm going to swap the 904G gearbox into the 906C and then maybe to do some more 'science' with different combos of barrel and hop unit... but I suspect the difference in their abilities will only show up at much longer ranges than the 15m I've tested at so far. Edit: I swapped around some shims on the 906C, and put it in the 904G receiver, and vice versa. The 806C original gearbox now sounds better, and the 904G gearbox in the 906C receiver now sounds worse Maybe the polymer receiver deadens the sound better than the metal one...? And maybe the motor height needs some more work - @Speedbird_666 your clever shim I don't think is needed with the 906C, it has a different, noticeably longer, pistol grip.

      Ah feck. @Robert James

I was going to browse the pouches but I'll do a military 1st order instead.

      Cheers anyway.

It's fine, I can wait until tomorrow and put in on 1st class, only £1 more.

  7. I would recommend a 7.4v LiPo, personally, as LiPo is currently the best chemistry for airsoft due to the combination of burst amps, stability, power to weight, and price. LiFe are fine, but will be larger, with less burst discharge (what you need for airsoft electrical draw). You don’t have to do anything to “convert” it to 11.1v. It’ll run on 11.1v right now. The caveats are the consequences. Depending on the quality of your trigger contacts, an 11.1v may burn them out. Good contacts will easily last 150K+ cycles, but we all know how allergic airsoft and quality are to each other. This can be fixed with some basic dielectric grease on the trigger contacts, or by a MOSFET chip wired into the contacts. Those units you plug in don’t actually protect anything, Secondly, an 11.1v may give you PME, which is where your gears are moving too fast for your piston, causing heavy wear or critical failure. To test, listen for hitching in the cycle when using 11.1v, and chrono test for any drops in FPS using full auto. This can be fixed by, as you mentioned, a stronger spring. You can then shorten the barrel or short stroke to reduce FPS to correct levels.

Hi, looking for an ASG MP9 since my current one has a crack in the lower receiver. Not in need of mags or anything else, just the MP9, but don't mind paying more if you're looking to sell with the mags. TIA Happy to pay postage. PayPal only G&S.

  9. From what I've seen regarding reviews these kits are fine and no one complaining they fall apart or anything. BBs aren't going to destroy these things, so why do people act like we need to be nuclear-proof? I'll definitely look at these links though, but not looking to prepare for war in Ukraine when my biggest worry is getting a bit dirty!

Hey all! So here is my other GHK for sale, this is a pre COVID GHK so no issues that I can think of. Not open to trades I'm sorry to say as I'm reducing my collection. So everything in the package: -Installed:Ghk AKS74 -Real Bakelite pistol grip -Full travel kit (just remove the plastic stopper under the dust cover for full travel) -Full steel bolt (!) -Comrade Quiche TDC Hop Mod -Maple Leaf Hop Unit -Maple Leaf Crazy Jet inner barrel -Maple leaf bucking -Adjustable nozzle (so you can change the FPS with an Allen key) -3 leak free mags (these were originally black but have been painted bakelite) -W&S steel trigger assembly -Soviet tourniquet on the stock for ultimate style -incread recoil rod (I think) Spares/extras: -Hephateuts Simulated real recoil spring rod -speed loader adapter -3x CO2 valves to swap the existing ones to DH mod the mags so they run off CO2 bottles instead (sodasteam bottles). Very useful for winter but also very finicky as it dries your o rings out. -Valve tool -Polymer Pistol Grip -Original aluminium bolt but the recoil rod is bent so not entirely useable but I'll throw it in anyway Issues/things to note: -Sometimes semi will rarely double fire for some reason, not sure why (this is the only issue with the gun really) -There is ware on the exterior, as all AKs should have! Might be an odd grub screw missing here and there for the barrel assembly but doesn't affect anything, still solid. This thing kicks like a mule! FPS can go as low as you'd like. I normally run black gas in colder days and have it set for around 1 joule. Can send a pre recorded video of it firing in the back garden on WhatsApp if you'd like, it won't let me post here. PayPal fees and postage extra (postage might cost a bit due to the weight). Will also throw in a free hard case to ship it in (it has seen better days however) Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions! Ps. Given the nature of these guns and how miss use can cause issues, I'm unable to offer refunds if anything goes wrong with the gun so all sales are final. Happy to help over messages however if any issues arrise the first couple of weeks!

  11. I'd concur. Anything short of an AB++ is largely pointless, and I include using 11.1V, given that trigger contacts are a £5 part. The AB++ is a well featured unit, and easy to fit.
  12. Hi, I'm brand new to airsoft. 1 skirmish. Just like to say if anyone browses youtube looking for airsoft vids, he's one of the first that pops up. I'll never meet the guy, but i know every video i've watched someone is having a go at him, for something. I didnt subscribe or anything, preffering Dutch the Hooligan or Silo tbh. The guy is going to pop up for anyone unknowingly searching for airsoft content basically. cheers
  13. Couldn’t tell you what’s it’s called, all I had to do was scan the QR code on the box or instructions if I find them, I’ll pop the QR up here for you. The app icon doesn’t give anything away either 🙄
  14. Yup, I have one of those, they're fine. Aside, you're not going to win a "But my chrono says..." argument, so there's no point in having anything that's more betterer than whatever your local sites are using.
  15. Yes saw that. The prices really was convincing when it normally retails for £50 on AliExpress. Today the price already went up £10 again. What is the name of the App? I’ve tried to search for Chronograph or WoSport on the Apple App Store but didn’t find anything that looked like that screenshot
  16. That seemed to me like a very sensible test (I was the one flagging up that Ultrair, according to specs on one site I'd seen it has silicone lube in it. I'll try to find it. I don't think I count as the 'hive mind' ) So I tried with the three gases at hand to me right now, squirting them each at a sheet of A4 printer paper: 1) Nuprol 1.0 - made the paper wet with the first shot, but that evaporated leaving no residue. Subsequent squirts didn't do anything to the paper 2) Abbey Predator Ultra - no wetness, no residue 3) Abbey 144a Maintenance Gas - yay! some white film left on paper, evaporated to leave no lasting effect though So... huh. Maybe standard gas does have a very low amount of lube in it, such that we can't see it. Maybe it needs a lot of the gas under continued pressure to make its presence felt? Edit: I tried squirting the gases at hard plastic... again only the Maintenance gas seemed to act differently, leaving a change in appearance, but no change to the fingertip feel. On the one hand I guess it won't take much change of slipperiness on a hop rubber to affect it. On the other, it seems unlikely that the short puff of gas for each shot is really going to deposit much of anything on there. Edit2: It seems the American version of Ultrair may contain lube, but not the Euro version. That's not super-certain either way, but I think I'd take the previous perceived wisdom that Ultrair does not contain lube and go with that. Apologies. Edit3: Maybe I apologised too fast Here's where I got Ultrair has lube in it from... https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/asg-ultrair-power-gas-520ml
  17. If social media is his only income then I doubt any mortgage lender is going to accept that as a stable income and lend him hundreds of thousands of pounds. Also if the figures posted earlier in this thread are accurate even then it wouldn't be enough to get anything bigger than a shield box in Essex
  18. The OP didn't mention if he usually does woodland or CQB but here's my thoughts on GBBR's. I have a few: GHK SIG 552, GHK AKMS, TM AKX, VFC M4A1, VFC MP5SD, AGM M4, WE PDW, WE SCAR L, WE M4 CQB, Marayama ACP9K G Pro, TM MP7 x 2, KWA Scorpion, KWA Mac11, TM Siaga 12K and a Beretta SMG from 1987 which is more of a wallhanger. I did have a TM MWS but sold it a while back when I fell out with GBBR's but now think I need another or the DE clone. I've also got a couple of the GBBR 10/22's but I'll discount them from this waffle as they are set up for sniping. I don't use GBBR's at woodland sites during walk on days simply because I'm outgunned or more accurately out ammo'd. I tend to use my TM recoils, KWA T10 or GBLS on those days and get a similar level or recoil to keep me happy. When I use GBBR's it's mostly CQB sites and I don't run anything over .28 tracers as there doesn't seem to be a need. If I need more range the I just get a bit closer. I tend to carry at a minimum 6 mags when using GBBR's as anything less means I'm half fighting and half reloading after running away. I also carry at least one pistol speed loader and a fake grenade that is actually a gas can so I can top up my mags if needed. I've fired quite a few RS rifles over the years and I'd say the recoil on a GBBR is similar to a 22 LR round. Some GBBR's do a better job of increasing the realism, for instance, the TM MP7 has the bolt smashing into the rear, right next to your ear and this increases your perception of the noise from firing but to everyone else it just sounds like a GBBR. Firing hot can be an issue and I've found that using the Vorsk gas either number 6 on hot days or number 8 on colder days gets me through the chrono without issues. By using the different numbers I don't need to worry about fitting Npas's although in the WE GBBR's and 10/22's I've fitted Npas's. Looking at reliability, the TM GBBR's all work perfectly if kept stock and you want to use up to .28's. If you decide to go for heavier ammo then you go into the modding world and it can go either way until you hit the right combination. What works for some people doesn't always work for others. My GHK's both work very well stock and I'd put them as the same reliability as my TM's. Some people have had issues but my only issue has been with the GHK mag base plate falling off and loosing a spring and follower which was $8 to replace but still a pain in the arse. My VFC M4 again works all the time and it's a Gen1 version and I bought a bunch of spares, ready for it to collapse in a heap but I haven't needed to use any of the spares yet. The MP5SD took a bit of work and aftermarket parts to get it firing consistantly but now it's a steam train. I've slated WE GBBR's before and all mine are Gen 1 closed bolt version and work ok'ish in good weather but the Mags are a terrible design. It's a clam shell design with the worlds biggest square o ring that you will need to eventually fill with silicon and wait 24 hours to see if it still leaks. I wouldn't recommend WE as a first GBBR simply because you could come away with negative feeling about GBBR's at the end of it. My KWA scorpion is awesome and the MAC 11 will either work fantastically or vent all the gas depending on how it feel that day. I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned maintenance but GBBR's require cleaning now and again to stop the working parts getting gummed up from dust, twigs, leaves, bits of chopped BB's etc. It's good practise to wipe the bolt and upper recess where the bolt travels down and re-lubricate along with cleaning the barrel and hop up chamber at least every couple of games. Just like the RS versions, grease attracts dust etc which can effect the function of a GBBR. I was going to mention that the Marayama ACP9 G, the MPX and the up and coming ACP9 are all excellent little SMG's with the Marayama taking 50 round glock mags but you will probably end up buying a MWS
  19. You could very well be right, keeping track of all of these shenanigans causes one's brain the blend this and that into a hazy soup filled with indiscretions and the odd hit marker. If anything I think both scenarios are true, post-invasion allowing for bigging up the initial claims (because there probably was at least one Russian trooper who was unwittingly handed a KMCS, which by virtue of being "technically true" can now be used to justify all sorts of PR for the suit.) But if I'm wrong I'm sure @Airsoftn1njawill gladly put me right!
  20. Here's a little interesting topic. What's everyone thought on the ASG MK-23 compared to the TM MK-23 and SSX23. The ASG sitting at £55 is very tempting and is compatible with the TM upgrades but is it worth paying the extra to get the TM or SSX23? Has anyone got any experience with the ASG MK-23 and would you recommend it as a half decent reliable pistol out of the box? I don't need anything too crazy just looking for a half decent sneaky and quiet pistol as a side arm for my soon to be HPA Striker sniper rifle. Let the reviews/debates begin!!!

    Pew Hub

Does anyone know anything about pew hub . co . uk ? (I’ve spaced it out in case it’s dodgy) I’ve not heard of them, but they seem to have the VFC M110 gbb in stock. I’ve not been able to find it anywhere in the U.K. and I’m wondering if anyone has experience of this site.
  22. Just a shame about LCT's pricing if the RPD is anything to go by
  23. I'm confused by what exactly this is meant to achieve. I mean, what is going to happen differently because of it? And how does it apply to anything without a muzzle device? It feels like one of those "Because shut up, that's why" things.
  24. Hi fella and welcome to the fun palace that is afuk 🙂 Come on in,look around but don't break anything and leave it tidy when you leave.😉 Regards 👍
