  2. They are a very pretty gun the solid stock is my preference, the collapsing stock is nice for transport. Detach the silencer and it's an mp5k nearly. It's only one pin to remove the stock anyway. Yes I have a rubber to add once I'm ball park energy wise from ak2m4. And some others I haven't tested. The unknown springs are from other guns. I might lose some energy hopping .3 or .32 so I was hoping to be a lil closer to 350 and it's a short barrel so I should run a few of those through before I do anything drastic. I'm likely to replace the 390 one in the gun it came from. I've just taken the bearing off the spring guide to reduce the spring tension. Also I'd really like to know the spring number should I need to replace it in the future. I'll fiddle more tommorow I think the barrel is long enough but if you do make it longer your gonna need a weaker spring. Also I'm not convinced the hop nozzle seal is right yet.
  3. Some great ideas, thanks! I'll try to work something out this evening. Including if I dare screw anything into the pump/foregrip. I don't tend to use a torch much in CQB, as I subscribe to the above wisdom that 95% of the time it unesssarily advertises your position, but when you need it, you need it!

Ares AM-016 I'm looking if people have anything interesting for trades, looking ideally for a nice gas shotgun or GBB SMG anything CQB. Open to offers too. It is listed elsewhere too, so first come first serve. Tuned to the teeth as it's my first primary. -Gearbox radius'd -SHS gear set, reshim -SHS tappet -Steel rack piston -SHS piston head -SHS nozzle -Maxx hop unit with 60 degree maple leaf bucking -Custom cut 6.01 inner barrel for 7" handguard -Mad Bull 6.01 inner barrel for the 13" handguard -High Torque motor (can't remember brand), shimmed the gearbox to match. -Converted to Deans connectors. Runs absolutely mint, handles just as well. Got the Ares EFCS programmer too. Any other questions just ask. Get back to you ASAP Thanks for looking!

    £430

  8. Is it a polymer hand guard? One thing I've tried (not on pews) is to heat up the, slightly larger, bit on a hob/blow torch to transfer the heat down the threads. You then make use of different coefficients of expansion. Obviously don't melt anything vital.
  9. I pop a bog standard hikers first aid kit pouch from generic outdoors store of your choice in a pouch because its small and Im unlikely to need anything more than a few plasters and maybe a bandage. Anything needing more kit than that can wait til the marshals bring a proper first aid kid. I keep a more advanced kit in my car (or if its an all day game or huge game site pop it in a backpack) which contains a few trauma dressings, tourniquet and IV kit with a bottle of IV paracetamol. I am a registered paramedic so know what I'm doing with them as generally sites tend to be miles away from anywhere, so its going to be a long wait for an ambulance if someone stacks it down a hill and snaps their leg or something, so I can at least get some pain relief into them whilst waiting, plus then IV access already established for the ambo crew to give anything else. However I would probably only be comfortable doing that to my mates who know I actually am trained and know what Im doing, and not just some random Ricky Rescue wannabe trying to stick needles in people. I generally try not to get involved in medical issues on a game day as I feel its not my place to, unless I can see its a particularly bad one or someone is doing something completely wrong (like the site "first aider" who was trying to put a stick in someones mouth to "stop them swallowing their tongue" having a seizure).
  10. Plenty scopes in the classifieds today, see if there's anything you like the look of.
  11. What is practicle shooting? Ive seen those vids of people running round courses and shooting targets that would appear to very impractical have nothing to do with anything you would encounter in real life, i.e someone trying to actively kill you. Im not saying its not fun like.

Bought this last year but doesn't really suit me. Won't bore you all with extensive details, it's a plastic helmet with a onetigris helmet cover. Pretty much all of us know what these are. Looking for 60 quid collected from pe13/Wisbech, or 70 quid posted. Will also consider swapping it for a free floating m4 handguard, something with at least a top rail, or anything you might want to swap.

  13. OK - Exfog is a doddle to set up. The XT's come with the little magnet hose things, push the adapter through a hole in the seal vents (desert locust for me), point at the lens and you're golden - don't need to make any destructive holes or anything. If you have active headsets, you are going to hear every little bit of it functioning, but its easy enough to switch off when you don't need it. The vent is on the bottom of the unit and the hose adapter actually creates an intake space, so unless you're using a really restricting pouch it will have plenty of space. I got the XT without the headband for ~£50 from Specs4sports, which I think makes it about £10 cheaper than the Novshit. I could feel the air even on the lowest setting, and the full power burst mode is mental.

I bought this thinking it was smaller, so have shown it next to a "coke can" target (not included) to give you an idea of how chonky it is. So it's not really suitable for a pistol or small SMG, but should be decent on a rifle etc. It's since gone unused and I'm having a clearout. Stated price includes PayPal feels and tracked postage. Please PM any questions as I don't get notifications for anything asked on the listing.

  16. Maybe but it looks goofy. I prefer helmet over anything else but you can set it up as you please. Boonie, baseball cap or even Dye. You can buy that velcro pouch separately. Also, it's worth to mention that Exfog came out with a new version (XT) not long ago so you'd be better to buy that one. Mine is "first gen".
  17. So after lets just call it at least a decade away I finally feel that I'm back, so I thought it'd be interesting to share my journey as attempt to get my head around the changes in tech & re-develop my loadout to match my play style which hasn't changed in the meantime. First off, I'd forgotten just how much I'd missed this both mentally and physically. I've been laid up in and out of hospital the last few years - to the extent that I've gone from superfit to completely broken. I finally found something which I could actually do without landing me back in A&E last October & thanks to a push from my wife - I tried out a game at my local airsoft site. I sold up pretty much everything (it was around the time of the in-fighting over setting up UKARA - alongside some horrible personal issues that was the final straw). So I had my old ICS552, my custom WA S&W 1911, my 8mm Redhawk & a battered CYMA M3 rip off. Despite the WA utterly failing in the cold weather, the SIG shedding parts & developing the fire selection switch developing the attitude of a teenager I had a whale of a time. Finally picked up my PASS & the intervening time let me try out the modern "toys" and get my head around what I enjoyed. I've never been a kit nerd when it comes to fiddling/upgrading or to achieving a particular loadout "style". Instead I've always ended up picking out what for me is the "best of breed" in terms of what does what I need it to, hence you could politely describe my look as that of a scruffy mercenary - as opposed to that of someone as likely to sell you a big issue as shoot you. I did get an ego boost from being described as a "Ukrainian nutter" though So in terms of clothing/webbing I just go with what is comfy. At the moment its a pair of yard boots (closest thing to trainers in terms of comfort), an old pair of combats, norge, appropriate layers & a russian OMON style vest. Its light, room for 3 spare M4 style mags, shotgun shells, 2 blank firing grenades & some high energy shack items. I then go with a belt running two bianchi holsters & spare revolver shells/pistol mags. Its nice to be able to dump the belt at the safe zone or go down to one sidearm without having to reconfigure everything. So my general "normal" loadout now is as follows ... SA-15 Edge - Batteries have moved on! Being able to fit a single battery in the stock which is enough capacity for a full day's play is a revelation. Battery capacity was always a factor in the past - so its great to be able to pick something I love the feel of without worrying about having to change/carry a spare. Aside from the tight inner barrel I didn't think there was much point in going for anything gucci. My AEG has always been a tool first. Hops have come on - I remember the old TM hop with its tendancy to unwind randomly (I ran both an M4 & SR16 for a while) but this is easy to set how I want it - and it stays that way. I also hated M4 mags - partially a look & feel, partially having to spend so much time keeping them working & feeding. Very much a fan of the new S-Mag style, plus no feed issues with either hi or mid caps. 3 spare mags in the OMON vest. Shotgun - a reliable backup and sometimes main for CQB/thicker woodland. I love tri-barrel shotguns. I sold my modded M3 when I quit - so I picked up a BO Fabarms one to replace the battered CMYA one. Its similar size & weight but definitely has more poke & consistency just like my old TM but at way less than half the price. Will run as a spare as looking to get hold of a Secutor one as its even smaller & looks sexier (sorry). I figure it'll be even easier to carry slung on my back but for the moment, for the money I'm liking this a lot. Spare shells in the sling which goes over my vest so she sits on my back. If I'm ditching the AEG then even more shells in the vest on the shell loops - saves having to take time out reloading in the safe zone TTI JW 4 - GBB's are so much improved. And I say that as someone who loved them. This has now replaced my beloved WA 1911 and I can't believe I've gone back to a double stack 2011. I tried lots but when I picked her up something clicked. The hop/takedown are quick, mags suffer less cooldown and in terms of range once I got the hop set - well she's perfect for pulling out and "going light" with a BFG or two. Very much feels like one of the old WA Inifinities - after I'd spent a fortune on metal gubbins, internals etc. but better - out of the box FFS! Pair of spare mags in an old mil-tec twin mag pouch on the belt (will be replacing soon as its knackered), gun sits in a Bianchi M84 on the belt. Lovely - you can keep your new fangled plastic holster things Marushin 8MM Redhawk - yes she's an antique but with a thorough clean and lube she's fine. Fill valve needs a strip and bit of plumber's tape every few months but in winter - on red - she's up to her old tricks. There is something so pure about considered shots with a 6 shot shell loader ... it honestly feels amazing. Pair of .44 magnum speedloaders on belt, she sits in a Bianchi Cyclone holster. When she gives up the ghost .... who knows. Might have to look at a den wesson if only to be able to keep my love of using nothing but a revolver & speedloaders in game occasionally Oh, and if anyone knows a source of 8mm BB's that's be great, although I'm down to my last 700 they should last a few years as I tend to only get through a dozen every skirmish. So that's where I'm at. It kinda feels comfy - like a modern upgrade of the kit "style" I know and love. When the weather warms up a bit I'll start venturing further afield - heard great things about the "x" site in Mold. Much prefer sneaky, muddy bog snorkelling/woodland play rather than speedball - although in building CQB does lead to me making disturbing sounds as I play. Airsoft is definitely more popular. the kit better, the choice in the UK so much wider (anyone else remember the says of WGC shop/Den trinity importing *everything*). People messing around with Western Arms kit - endlessly upgrading/fixing seems to have been replaced by a different bunch of people endlessly upgrading/fixing HPA guns - but I'm really enjoying getting back into this

Selling my olive green Delta Mike face mask as I'm leaving the hobby. As shown in the last picture I have removed the toggle on the back for tightening the bungee and glued the ends together because I found it was very uncomfortable if you are wearing anything on your head. This doesn't affect the functioning of the mask at all, as I have glued it tight enough that it will stay around your head, but not so tight that it's uncomfortable. Other than that it is in great condition. Price includes postage and Paypal fees. Thanks!

  20. Start with a basic action camera, then learn what works for you. GoPro carries the name, and does have the right features and specs which come with the price to go with them Alternative action cameras are up to the job - all in recent years exceed the ‘quality’ of anything you would be showing them at - YouTube etc Old YouTube footage from 15 to 10 years ago which looks like it was filmed with a potato gets highlighted with much nostalgia value and You are dependant on the sensor and chip set. If you’re going in and out of buildings then the ‘better’ cameras will cope better with the change in light conditions - but anything current should cope in a reasonable time frame Most important is what you want to do with footage. Are you making a full film of all your awesome actions, telling the story of your day? Are you making a click bait kill cam video? Are you making training feedback footage to review what happened? Or do you just want to film some stuff and see what you get? The ‘best’ footage is of multiple angles - but means lots more editing. eg barrel cam - which mostly shows the ground and air, but gives shooting footage Reverse barrel cam - films you Sight cam - which gives zoomed in ground and air Head cam - which shows where you were looking, but can make people sick when you keep looking left, right etc, and will also show the tree or brick wall that you were hiding behind Body cam - similar to head cam without the left/right twitching but more bouncy (check the stablisation specs) Back cam - Strap a pole to your vest and mount a camera that films a 3rd person view Combine a few of those and you can edit a story - for the extra cost of multiple cameras and mounts plus edit time Alternatively forget all of those, get a generic action camera with case and an assortment of mounts. Try it in different positions and see what you get Note that a scope camera is ‘better’ when accompanied by another camera giving a wider view
  21. When I was using 0.28g the ASG Cursed line were faultless, so this is up to summer 2023 before I and my son moved to 0.32g across the board for AEG's and pistols. Their price is great, they're easy to get hold off (I'd usually buy three of four bags at a time from Patrol Base along with other consumables), didn't get any in the bag that were damaged or any "dust" in the bottom of the bag. Personally I couldn't find anything better for the price.

I absolutely love this gun, only selling as I need to downsize the collection. Upgraded with a 60 degree Maple Leaf Macaron bucking and nub. The original bucking is not included but a regular AEG nub is. Only used for about 5 games, so all is in excellent condition. There is 1 screw missing on one of the side rails, this is perfectly fine if you aren't attaching anything to it, but if you want to, I'd recommend buying another screw (about £7 iirc). The nozzle currently installed is the 1J nozzle which brings it to around 330fps, but I will include original too. An odin speedloader adapter for the mags will be included. This can be used with a regular speedloader if you don't have an odin to make loading easier and to help protect the feed lips. Comes with 5 mags all leak free- 4 black and 1 tan. Willing to trade (and maybe some cash) for another GBBR (must be m4 based such as GHK M4, MWS, VFC HK416A5 etc) Based in Coventry for collection, willing to travel for a trade and shipping can be arranged for £10. Willing to split and sell just mags.

  23. Take what I say with a pinch of salt as I only like LPVOs on 1.1J builds. Anything at DMR or bolt action power I want a bit more zoom and find that 3x zoom is fine for anything over the 30m MED that comes with the higher power. I also don't have any direct experience with the listed optics, so my post is more just general advice. Adjusting for wind in airsoft is... not a precise science. The muzzle energy is too low and the projectiles are too light to really use wind adjustments on a scope, so I tend to just use the mil-dots and some experience-based judgement on my shots where I adjust for wind. My preference is using the crosshair itself so I like a good crosshair with mil dots over anything else, since the majority of shots I will just use those to adjust for distance and wind. Distance is a lot easier to work out and if you spend time dialling in your rifle you can reliably make shots that other people think are impossible. That said, if you can get both I'd say get something with tool-less adjustment nobs (not under caps either, literally just turnable as they are) AND a mil-dot reticle, then spend a long, long time working out where you need to turn the nobs and where to aim on the reticle to hit at a whole variety of long distances. I still probably wouldn't bother with windage adjustments and just go with mil-dots on that, for the reasons I stated, but for distance I could definitely see the merit; just need to get my rifles to a range without wind as the range at my local site catches the wind and this summer the weather has been wank. Illuminated reticles are nice for low-light situations, so if you can also get that I'd go for it but to me it's the least important aspect of the three. FFP scopes are nice too, but for the distances we deal with I'm not entirely convinced with their usefulness when you consider the price, though I may try getting a Visionking FFP scope to experiment with that. I probably wouldn't go with the Novritsch scope, as you can probably get a better Visionking or Vector Optics for a similar price; that said, I have also heard good things about it, but from someone who really likes a lot of Novritsch's stuff. You don't want to cheap out too much on the scope as you'll be using it a lot and a good scope can really help. Heard good things about it, but I also typically want a bit more than 4x at the highest level so I can double up on recce duties, observing enemy positions and movements from a distance and radioing it in to my team; one of the best games I have had in the past few years was one where I didn't fire a single shot, but radioed in every movement the enemy team made along one part of the site.

I bought this brand new in June/July last year and had it delivered straight to Luke at Negative Airsoft. He fitted a Perun MOSFET, Warhead Base motor, one of his nozzles, a Novritsch flat trigger, a long with various other bits to optimise the performance and reliability. This is of course shimmed beautifully too. Later on I added a Maple Leaf Macron and Omega nub to perfectly match the 310mm Maple Leaf 6.02 inner barrel, which runs through the outer barrel extension and a more powerful spring to bring me to 1.05J with 0.28g's. Additionally it has an aftermarket rotary hop unit, to better match the nozzle. As you can see from the chrono results, this all results in very consistent shooting, right around the perfect power output for most sites. As you can perhaps imagine, it's subsequently got great range and accuracy. It's also super snappy/responsive and sounds great too. The fully licensed externals of this RIF are made to a very high standard, IMO it feels a lot nicer than the Specna Arms MK18. It also comes with a very easy quick change spring system. I've only skirmished it for one half-day. So it's in excellent condition inside and out. If I had to think of any slight negatives, it's that I unfortunately caught the wires when putting the buttstock back on, but these were professionally repaired by my local retailer. Also, when they were working on it, a tab came off the Warhead, so was soldered back on. Stated price includes PayPal fees and tracked courier. Please PM me any questions, as I don't get notifications for anything added to the listing.
