  1. Ideally, you want radio chatter to a minimum, I was taught in the army that orders/info shouldn't be longer than 10-12 seconds You start with your call sign to the persons call sign, ie - 'Charlie 17 (your call sign) to Charlie 18 (there call sign) Any orders are represented as Hello zero (base camp or HQ) Over (you want a response) Out (end chatter) Roger (you received and understood) Affirmative (yes) Negative (no) Say again (you want them to repeat what they said) That's about what I remember being taught, its always a good thing to learn the Phonetic Alphabet
  2. I've used a throat mic but for me it was uncomfortable so I went back to the standard army earpiece and mic In civilian life now, I use a covert (clear tube) earpiece and mic that can clip on your sleeve or near your mouth on a jacket My mic is located on the zip part of my combat jacket
  3. Thanks guys for your replys I thought you were going to p*ss on my bonfire for a minute there chock All and any airsoft products I buy for me and my boys are solely for airsoft use only, that includes target practice and weapons training for my boys inside our home as I don't have a garden Before I invest sums of money in any hobby/interest, I always do research in that field so I'm clued up on things so I dont get caught out
  4. I remember ordering lipos from abroad and took 3 weeks to arrive and was opened by customs but when I ordered a small engine, exhaust, manifold etc for my rc boat, it took 2 months and had been opened All it said on both packages was 'rc supplies'
  5. I was visiting family over the weekend mate down south where my sister had a stall, I was just looking around and I couldn't miss the oppurtinity of adding it to my collection
  6. Thanks guys I intend to have fun, it'll be great to see how people do things and use my training to full effect I see plenty of smoke and flash bangs being used
  7. Ok, I'm just worried that I can't use it on sunday at my 1st skirmish
  8. I use a thin Phillips head screw driver and pliers as a knocking stick (hammer) I get more control using the pliers
  9. I know its illegal to paint a 2 tone without a good defence or ukara I purchased a RIF glock over the weekend at a boot sale, the bloke didn't ask for anything when I paid for it, it went straight in my coat pocket and never came out until I was home However, what about the other way round ?? Can I spray the slide blue or green so its legal until I get my ukara ??
  10. So glad I've never ordered from them If peoples opinions of 'bad' outweighs the 'good' opinions then I avoid like the plague
  11. I agree with the others, the more you use it the more or will dull You could try 'kick it' around method or just pour a jug of water with old tea bags in it all over the front, sides and back, then hang it up to drip dry, this will give it the 'worn look' I use that method for weathering my rc boats
  12. That's my belief aswell but as its trying to be true to the military then I suppose you can't turn up in your sunday best and a day glow weapon lol
  13. Have you tried a hammer and flat head screw driver ?? I think with those, you knock it anti clockwise to undo it
  14. well dr who's on again so i wonder which of my boys will ger freaked out :)

I think with Dr. Who. David Tenant and Christopher Eccleston got it right. Eccentric, cocky and explosively impulsive with deep seated emotional trauma and a brilliant mind that just can't sit still for five minutes. Matt 'Footface' Smith and Capaldi both come across to meek and mild for my liking.

You been reading the dictionary again finius lol

but I agree, no one has a peg on Chris ecclestone and David Tennant, matt smith was pants and peter capaldi is no good

I think Capaldi has potential but the stories in this season have just been too pants for him to have any chance to show it.

  15. The glock also has single shot (semi auto) and full auto
  16. Like on any gear/cog setup, if its not meshed correctly then you will always strip gears
  17. There's some people that do milsim (military simulation) over 24hrs and I'd love to attend one of those You could try the national airsoft website and see what's going on
  18. On the real sa80, there's 2 screws that hold the carrying handle to the rifle, undo them and the handle slides off The SUSAT was great for its time but I found the rubber cup on the sight to be to soft and flimesy plus it contained atomic/nuclear material which gave the night vision capability hence the nuclear symbol on the box it came in Acogs and the likes are better, I understand your reasons to be authentic but there are better sights avaliable
  19. I've got both the m9 gas pistol and cyma glock 18c aep and I must say that I prefer the glock because of the battery life but I will be doing the lipo conversion So I would say go with glock because of parts availability That's the key thing I look at first is the spares etc that's avaliable
  20. You can try airsoftzone.co.uk or geniestuff.co.uk
  21. +1 on the G&G combat machine, I've got it and so far I'm pleased with it, I'm yet to use it on a skirmish (going on the 28th) As I already have a load of batteries, I've modified mine to carry a large lipo in the front The charging handle, which does nothing BTW on these ones but does on the more expensive ones does rattle so I'll be modifying it either drop the dust cover to get to the hop up or just to stop it rattling As there easy to modify, I'll be getting a longer barrel and suppressor for outside stuff then just swap barrels for CQB stuff I promote the G&G cm16 100%
  22. Some radio control shops will make up battery packs for you (mine does) Take your weapon or the part the battery fits into so you can decide between what sized cells and how many are needed, they'll put the correct battery connector on for you aswell Ring your local rc shops first though to see who can do it
  23. I picked up some cheap fingerless gloves on ebay
  24. Haha you just need all the other equipment to go with it now
  25. What regiment have you joined (or is your avatar a big clue)
