  1. The nozzle tube looks a bit shorter aswell Do you have any V2 cylinder heads to try aswell ?? BTW, the bearing on the spring guide is called a 'thrust bearing' I use them on my rc boat motors and prop shafts but I dont have any with the right inner diameter for my gearboxes
  2. As I said before, I've the platforms (and I'm not on about the 70's shoes lol) I need to draw out some plans of what to do Dexterous arm Live feed camera Maybe a small pistol ??
  3. One thing we did in my regiment (not all of us) was put a dog on our right boot As you laced them up, put the dog tag on the inside of the eyelet and carry on lacing up, I also had one on my Bergen and my webbing
  4. I'll tie my ankles and walk like a proper penguin lol
  5. Long as you've got something to carry all your mags in, doesn't matter what you wear really Next game I go to, I'm going to wear civvi clothes, mix it up a bit Light sweat shirt, cargo trousers, cap & boots.maybe some old jeans
  6. I agree with ian ^^ and dont forget spare mags My gloves has seen more outings than my pistol, only time I draw it is for building/behicle clearence and I'm lucky if I fire 2 rounds depending on how many people are inside
  7. To my knowledge (being ex army) I never knew anyone who did that, what's the point when we wore dog tags and the army had all our physical details on file from tattoos to scars
  8. That again is some goods sir (old habbit colonel so I apologise) The next 2 sites I'm going to, I'll having a chat in the head marshalls ears and see what there views would be Man I love this forum, so much great ideas and feedback from people I've got no problem with everyone using what I create, its the whole point of it, get everyone involved and make it feel worth while, give a twist on things
  9. Some good points raised there guys A thought had occurred, if people are happy for it to be used and in the interest of fair play, either side can use it or even Marshall can use it I think the rc vehicle is the way to go but for recce purposes only, make sure an area is safe to go into or check doorways, buildings etc before entering A sensor which activates an alarm and/or flashing light to say its been hit would be better as not all sites slow indoor pyro use
  10. It's not the 1st time its happened to me, I had someone not taking there hits but I could see them hitting as they kept squirming when hit but that's what the marshals are for Surprising how quick the bug hits you again when you get back into it so fairplay to you buddy
  11. Last game I played, had a guy hiding in a hooch, I saw his barrel and bright blue hand guard so I crept pass the door, peeked through a window, pulled my pistol and said 'bang bang' he claimed blind firing, shot me in the ribs 3 times I held back and said let's see a Marshall, so we did and he got balled out after we gave both sides, a guy came up and as a witness said I did the right thing The young guy got balled out again for shooting point blank because the witness also saw it
  12. Fair enough, my mates ICS M4 lower receiver broke right at the rear body pin so needs to get a new one, I'll probably fit it for him as I dont mind and he always picks me up on a game day
  13. I took the foam inserts out of my sleeves and shoulders, irritating to hell but now its more comfy
  14. Ak47 I know what linear and non- linear are in terms of definition in the Oxford dictionary but in terms of airsoft applications (i apologise for not being clear and has been ammended in the opening question) but considering I'm still a newbie who started 4 months ago, my knowledge increases with every question I ask Thankyou PT for answering, now I know what they mean which says I have non linear springs in all my rifles My mates ICS M4 is proprietary where as my M4's and G36C are not, I was asked at a game if my G36 was proprietary and I didn't know but luckily there mags fitted mine
  15. Maybe they take the money when the orders being dispatched ?? I know some online shops in the UK do that
  16. I've heard these words thrown around a few times in the airsoft hobby and was asked once but I couldn't give an answer as I didn't know, can someone explain what they mean please ?? Proprietary ?? Linear ?? Non linear ??
  17. I still use my DPM kit from my army days, its what I grew up with so to speak, its all dull and worn in Viper make a UBAC shirt in DPM which I use now, I even have my old chest rig I bought while serving but now gone over to molle stuff in olive drab, I will be investing in MTP gear (my boys already have it cause of the army cadets) they noticed DPM is better at night as being darker in colour AND I still use my SAS smock during winter and autumn along with an olive green shemagh
  18. My M4 raider stripped the piston so new piston, cylinder head and o ring nozzle were put in but spring was changed down to an M90 (same as my G36C, over site limits) my sons M4 dropped down to 260 FPS so i looked in the gearbox, bit of silicone oil on the piston o ring and its back upto 330 FPS
  19. @spoon - that's to small @russe11 - that's to big mate I've got my scratch built rock crawler to use 1/10 scale or my 1/12 scale tank hull, the tank hull would be better cause it has tracks but no suspension My rock crawler can climb near vertical, 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering but to narrow a platform @jambo - the frame would need to accommodate an M4 if I'm to use a drum mag mate Gearing would come from a toy crane for left and right, a small motor and electronic speed controller attached to the gears to give it quick acquisition, a servo would pull the trigger using and on/off remote switch All controlled from a transmitter so you can sit back and watch
  20. Good point on the drum mag, something where you dont need to wind it all the time jambo and trust me that I've already got all the electronics, mechanicals & battery mounting in my head, just need to jot down ideas of the whole support frame
  21. Monkey - a shot gun was an ecsmple, i could use a remote on/off switch to trigger the uhhh trigger lol, I'd need something like an M249 with box mag to eliminate mag changes unless I can find a way around it Brotherwood - drones have been done and of things fail, it falls like a rock, I saw that video and tbh it doesn't impress me (knowing what happens when that sort of thing goes tits up) That's why I'm thinking a vehicle, the sentry gun is an awesome idea, would need recognition software or just a camera to make sure your shooting the right people I'm going to start drawing up ideas on the sentry gun as its an awesome project to try
  22. Easy enough to do I could either do it using a transmitter to fire & move using the gearing system from a kids crane, I've done that for my rc recovery boat Or Motion sensors with auto training and firing (I've got a mate who can write a program) I've just been watching on youtube a ready made hummer with airsoft barrel on the back made by a company called ignite, the cars to noisey, the rotation and elevation are to slow but that's easily sorted
  23. Some good ideas there guys Lozart - shame your van blew up buddy, the idea of planting dets is a cracking idea Chock - so that's where the idea of a wheelbarrow came from The platform I can make is easy enough to do, I've got a camera I mounted on rc heli's, I can tilt and pan the camera using my transmitter (all on one stick with throttle and steering on the other) it also transmits live pictures to my glasses plus the camera itself has a 'record' function so everyone else can see it when mission complete Its all doable with a shotgun, camera and dexterous arm
  24. Another thing about baofeng radios, they work on higher frequencies so no opposing team can listen in
  25. As I'm an rc car and boat racing/building enthusiast I have an old 1/12 scale tank hull with everything in it (need to swap plastic gears to metal) and all working of 1 transmitter, wouldn't take me much to put a 'first person view' (fpv) unit onto it for looking around corners, in buildings etc I'd love to combine my RC knowledge/background with airsofting Any thoughts/ideas people have Nick Ps- I know people have used drones for aerial reconnaissance (at the sandpit) but you cant really get them in buildings
