  1. Just off the top of my head - within around a 1 hour drive from my house (christchurch): - UCAP Valiant* - UCAP Bunker* - Spec Ops Blox* - Bravo Romeo - Ambush Activities* - South Coast CQB - Camouflage Bournemouth - Ironsight Airsoft* - Ground Zero* *sites I've played at - I just need to hit Camouflage, Bravo Romeo and South Coast CQB to finish the set. Journey times might be slightly quicker if you are around the Ringwood/Verwood area as you can jump straight onto the A31/M27 I actually was toying with the idea of going this sunday, but my boys are going to the AFCB match (they are season ticket holders - can't stand the sport myself) and the weather doesn't look promising. I think I will try to get to the May game on the 21st though.
  2. @_K4MF_ Another local site is Camouflage Airsoft Bournemouth nr Hurn bridge. Ironically I've not played airsoft there myself (and I'm only 10mins away) but I know @C-Diddy frequents the site on a semi-regular basis.
  3. THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

  5. Hello from the edge of the New Forest (Christchurch). If you like the Bunker, you would also probably like UCAP Valiant in Dorchester (prison) - It's definitely worth a visit!
  6. Might want to think about that pricing mate, they cost less than that brand new... https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/inner-barrels
  7. G&G list a 304mm inner barrel for the 12in Wildhog. That's not a common size but a 300mm will work fine - ZCI make decent enough barrels Measure the diameter of this bit - and find a supressor of equal or smaller size - with a 14mm Negative (CCW) thread. The suppressor will have to sit partially inside the rail. The gun comes with a sound amplifier from the factory - makes the gun 'pop' when shooting. Just taking it off will quieten the gun down a fair bit - but will look a bit weird without something on the end of the barrel so a suppressor will 'complete' the look of the gun, even if they have very little effect on AEGs. No. Unless you intended to hit targets at zero dark thirty rocking your quad-tube NVGs with the rest of your 'operator' team And if you do get one - green lasers are banned at a lot of sites because they can cause permanent eye damage. If you are building a replica of a real-world setup (i.e. CAG or DEVGRU blaster) - then by all means go for it. But slapping one on a G&G for giggles? Nah.
  8. Yeh - good luck with that too. Just found the thread I created a couple years ago:
  9. Good luck with that mate - couldn't get it to fit on my Cyma CM.045. No idea what it was designed for - I sold it to @Adolf Hamster who couldn't get it to fit his guns (E&L and JG).
  10. Genuine question - What's the big deal about them? I had a Mk2 Peacekeeper many moons ago (2009 to be exact) in DPM and it was alright, but nothing to get excited over. Is the Mk5 featured in a particular loadout?
  11. In almost all hop units, metal bodied or otherwise, the parts that interact with the hop nub are plastic - there are (very expensive) brands like Maxx that are all-metal but they are the minority. ZCI Plastic and Metal versions use the same plastic parts. Only the body of the hop unit differs.
  12. Don't equate metal to reliability. Personally I would be going for The ZCI plastic unit as it is a really popular and cost effective choice.
  13. Negative Airsoft has had to deal with a stack of KWA's with low power on 11.1v LiPos. There's a video on his Patreon with the 'fix' for the problem. You will need to add a bushing onto the Tappet spring guide to increase the spring tension, and you might also have to cut the tappet fin down (DSG style) so it will release earlier in the firing cycle to get nozzle moving forward earlier. If you cut the fin down - remove the delayer chip as well. I intend to do the same mods on my my KWA once I notice any kind of power drop. I take no credit for the info above - if this helps you fix your gun - please consider signing up to Negative Airsoft's Patreon for a fiver a month, even just for one month. There's loads of information in his longer-form videos that you won't see in his standard youtube releases.
  14. Pure guess: Tappet timing. The nozzle is not returning forward fast enough for the next cycle of the gears causing a huge airleak around the hop unit. Lower voltage battery means that the gears are rotating slower to complete the firing cycle giving the nozzle time to seat itself in the hop unit before the piston (thus air) is released. It's become a common issue on KWA guns but in theory could apply to other manufacturers. You can test by turning the gun upside down and placing a small square of tissue over the hop unit feed inlet. if the tissue is blown upwards when firing on an 11.1, yet not (or to a much lesser extent) on a 7.4, there's a good chance that could be your issue. If that's the case, make sure that the you remove any sector gear delay chips, replace your tappet spring and make sure your tappet is lubed on the rails, moving freely and in good condition. I'm sure others will chip in with alternate possibilities.
  15. Thanks all. The piston I ordered did actually show up but I've seen a few things on Powair6 that I want, so I will give them a go.
  16. As both a Titan and Perun Hybrid owner - I agree with this.
  17. Only £199 new - not sure 6 questionable Hi-Cap mags justifies the extra £50 and it doesn't have the proper stock either.
  18. I have just had to pay £25+£5 postage for an AEG piston. A fucking AEG piston! Thanks KWA. Tossers - can't even spec their guns right. Fair play to 'bomb up' airsoft though - arrived next day.
  19. Well - you look at and work on enough guns - you learn what's good and what's not I suppose. I recently signed up for his Patreon - his long-form videos on there have been really useful and entertaining. Even if he moans a lot.
  20. Fuck you KWA. Turns out that KWA Pistons are oversized compared to normal AEG pistons by a couple of MM. Luke/Negative Airsoft mentioned this in the video I posted above but I figured it would be OK. I was wrong. So if you replace the stock piston with common (and reasobly priced!) XT/SHS fare - don't expect it to last very long. My XT piston died on Sunday with a lovely crunch as it somehow skipped over the sector gear. Investigating the fitment of the piston on the GB rails reveal that it's entirely possible that the piston can rotate several MM on it's axis AND up and down laterally. Three or four teeth are damaged - it doesn't look too bad in the photo but you can feel it when you run a nail over them - and the piston has dozens of stress fractures where the rack flexed over the sector gear. If you subscribe to Luke on Patreon - you will see that he now has several videos (not on YouTube) about KWA guns. Seems like there's also a tappet timing issue with some guns if you use 11.1v LiPos - causing huge power drops once things (like the tappet spring and plate) start to wear. Slowing the gun down with a 7.4v LiPo will see the power return - but that's a shit solution to a design flaw. Negative Airsoft is now adding a brass spacer to pre-load the tappet spring, removing the delayer chip, and cutting the tappet plate (DSG style) to speed up the forward nozzle movement. I will probably take the same route pre-emptively. Luckily he mentions a fix for the Piston in the shape of the Madbull PX02 - which is a near match for the stock piston in size. Problem is - they cost nearly £30 and are hard to get hold of...😒 So coming full circle - do I recommend this, or any other KWA gun? No. No I do not. Steer well clear. Or be prepared to spend a shit ton of money: £244 - Base gun £32 - replacement Motor (SHS) £110 - Gate Titan (yeah - I would say it's a pretty essential purchase for this gun because the stock switch/COL is terrible and impossible to get spares. No, Gate Asters or Peruns do not work without some sketchy modifications - the GB was built specifically around the Gate Titan) £7 Piston Head (XT) £30 Madbull Piston Total Cost (so far) - £423 *sigh*
  21. Quick summary... I need a very specific Piston for my AEG (Madbull PX02 - thanks KWA for being shit) - I think i've bought the very last one I can find from a UK retailer but I don't have much hope that it was actually in stock - I'm fully expecting a cancellation call/email at some point soon. Powair6 do have the specific Piston I need - but they want more than the piston itself in shipping (21 Euros) so I was going to add a few more bits to make the order more worthwhile. So...is Powair6 any good to order from?
  22. Nope - never been to Alton. There's actually a Camouflage site near where I live (Bournemouth) - literally a 10min drive from my front door - but weirdly I've not ventured there yet for airsoft, but played Paintball there many moons ago.
  23. Went to Ambush Activites (Botley - near southampton) for the first time yesterday. The good: - The staff were very helpful and friendly - Safezone/Toilets were decent - PA system to do the safety brief which meant everyone could hear - Super5ives have a shop on site that was pretty good - The Chrono station checks were super slick - 3 Marshals/Chronos who were using joules and recording players guns on an app. - Snipers/DMRs were evenly split between the teams at the beginning of the day - I did not hear a single complaint about hit taking (see below) The mmm..k: - Random hit checks by marshals - they were all carrying pistols and a operating a one-warning rule. Once exceeded - you are banned. - LOTs of HPA guns (Ambush was a Paintball site, air refills are readily available) but there were no problems with the HPA players at all. - One dude had a frigging pyro mortar - sent to rounds into our own team when they fell short. That was fun...🙄 The bad: - It's a Paintball site which isn't really optimal for airsoft gameplay in it's current guise. - ...which leads to primarily fall-back style games to cycle the game through the 'arenas'. - ...which also leads to some weird rules being used - 'you can shoot here but not here' etc. - One game went so badly because no one understood the rules - including some of the staff - that they decided not to reverse the game and acknowledge it was a shit show. Chatting with the site manager - she told me that they have just stopped paintball altogether as Airsoft brings in far greater numbers. Hopefully this means that they do some work to make the gamezone work better for airsoft.
  24. They don't give a shit. Never have. Never will. They will do things in their quirky, Japanese way - market demand be damned.
