  1. Good call on EHobby Asia, I'm not fussed about waits, I am part of a club, Rather then just showing up for skirmishes whenever, First 3 Thursdays of every month, I always order things over the '4th' thursday, So I know it will be ready for the 1st game of next month Cheers, Will it be tight/attach to belt loops on trousers? I'd rather not run while it slips down to my knees to such a point where I resemble a disabled T-Rex. I think I will go for a belt rig, As It offers more MOLLE space for things like spare pouches and bottle-sized pouches. 3 games in a row now I've spotted a mates scrim-net, BB bag etc. I'd be tempted to buy an AEG and a pistol at once, Seens as then I'd have a complete loadout, In place of a half-completed 'Empty-pouch' filled dissapointment gettabout. I like the sound of a WE glock 17, You have one I recall Ed, Thoughts?
  2. Cheers, I'd want ~2 Taco-esque mag pouches, Just because they will fit most magazines. and a place for 2 bottles and/or a little bag. The 2 bottles and a bag are for 1. Water Bottle, 2. Oasis bottle, Carrying most of my BBs, 3. Bag that BBs come in; as 2000 BBs sometimes won't fill an Oasis bottle if I have some left from last week. Don't ask, it's a habit me and my mates have gotten into, Oasis bottles have such a wide opening its great for pouring and keeping BBs, If its a habit I need to get out of, i will. Actually, I could just use a slim backpack with MOLLE 'strips' on the back, Then I can carry all sorts of crap w/o worrying, Also I can take my gear to the site in it (Face prot etc.) Sorry, Most of that was me thinking out loud xD. Ooh, I might have both setups, Depends how much I can fit on the mini MAV. Also, A question I always find myself asking, Does the 'Buckle' go at the front like a standard belt, If so, is it a pain to constantly turn around to retrieve magazines? --- Thanks to both for your replies, We shall get there!
  3. Just a heads up, If you want to find sites in your area: http://www.airsoftmap.net/Skirmish/ It's a big help
  4. Look for Surplus stores in your area, I'm lucky enough to have one a 20 minute drive away, But Just google it - Then You can see what fits you, the quality etc before you buy
  5. Hello Everyone! So I am sick and tired of the discomforts caused by the rental webbings, They are litteraly in tatters. Okay. Here we go. http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/tactical-tailor-mini-mav-23019-1717-p.asp Boom, That shall be the base of my setup. All I need is a triple taco(?) So I can fit any mag type in there. as I have not yet decided on a gun to buy, Most likely an M4 variant. I've been temped by Tavors and FN 2000s, But they use M4 Mags, So no worries. If they have pistol mag pouches ontop, even better. Just design what you think will work out best for me <3 Budget? £40 at most, Not including the Mini MAV. Don't feel the need to scrape right up to it though, Cheaper=Better. Thanks in advance <3 EDIT: Also, Tan/Coyote Brown is prefered
  6. Brilliant... Props to Ed for sharing this :D

  7. Some good sites include: -ZeroOneAirsoft - They 2-tone for free -ProAirsoftSupplies - Good all round -Taiwangun - Polish company, but the things are cheap LandWarriorAirsoft - Have lots of brands you struggle to find in the UK -PatrolBase - Generally a nice website for gear, gun stock isn't as good -Any of the forums sponsors, all reputable. If none of them tickle your pickle, have a browse of the 'Places to buy' subforum, plenty of website reviews on there, take your pick! Also, Try your hardest not to buy from sites with 'BB' in their title, just trust me on this one
  8. JOIN THE CBA SIDE! Seriously, play in jeans in a hoodie and work from there? Trousers too tight? Go to a surplus store and get a nice fitting pair in the camo of your choice, getting sore feet or horrible pains in your ankle? Buy a nice pair of boots! Within a year you'll look in the mirror, and see all your epic gear. Just be sure to not empty your wallet in doing so. Its lovely to see a newcomer with so much enthusiasm
  9. You are 100% able to play airsoft, Some sites; specifically milsim sites sometimes won't allow younger players to play. Most if not all skirmish sites will. Me and Lord_Metile are both 14 and active members of the forums. There are most likely others but I don't know the age of 90% of other forum users. Welcome to the forums mate - As a younger player we welcome you!
  10. If I (parents) buy a TM glock 17 from zero one, will the slide or the body be two-toned?

I believe the section of the VCRA concerning manufacture doesn't include an age restriction, only the need for a defence. So if you have documented attendance at a site you should be fine.

  11. I've always liked the sound of the mall and contemplated showing up one week, I might go.
  12. I'm not a 'down site' person to be honest, I keep my head high and use the stream of BBs to guide me, although now the idea of accuracy is being pointed out, I want to try a sight or two, test the water y'know; I reckon I'll like it.
  13. I'll just stroll up with my own one now. So this person is my friend, but he is a massive 'Codsofter' and some of his actions are truly uncalled for. One time, particularly memorable amongst his other individual acts of attempting to make history. He is rather heavy on the trigger, And 2000 rounds for 3 hours of play should be all you need, I normally leave with about 1000 left, which in turn I store at home, In the hope of one day playing at a different site in my area. So he uses up all of his 2000 BBs in less than 3 hours. He heavily sighs, Throws his hand up and walks to the marshall. who is at the time, fairly far behind the enemy lines. He approaches the marshall and asks for BBs, Upon being declined, The Marshall suggested that he could go for knife kills for the remainder of the round before he can sort out more ammo. So on the way back to our respawn, He knife-kills all of the enemies behind their cover. Literally using the marshall as an excuse to get behind them. Thankfully, The marshall; Upon hearing the complaints, Let all the players respawn where they were before the wrath of 'Codsofter' was unleashed upon them. In a rage-fuelled conversation with one of the victims later that day, I was informaed that he ran his finger across their throats while whispering "Knife Kill" ... I didn't know what to say. He brushed it off as a tactical decision that went wrong. Seriously?
  14. Some pistols I have seen, (WE XDM Compact) have a special clip you can attach to the top of the magazine so that it won't damage the gun when dry firing (For use as a prop) Ofcourse this is a battery related question but the concept alone might be something to look into.
  15. Wait, So is it true Magpul split from PTS? And will they still make airsoft things? I found a nice G&P M4 kitted out with Magpul PTS stuff. Still in stock, Might buy before christmas. EDIT: 100 Posts! AF:UK REGULAR!
  16. I've been in the same boat. Over aggressive players pushing their strategies onto you. I had one just a fortnight ago, Bearing in mind We had control of a flag and we sat there watching it. Just us two versus about five others, If they get both of us, they win by default, If they don't push in and get the flag on time, We win. So there I am, sitting there playing passively; trying to sit them out, and he is getting seriously angry at me for sitting back.
  17. . I'd agree 100%, I hate trying to sneakily flank the enemy position then they turn around to behold the human embodiment of a maraca.
  18. Entirely depends on the style of play you're going for, High-caps are nice to fill up once and forget until 4 rounds later your gun starts clicking. I would agree though, Mid-caps are nice, it gives you a nice mix of not having to preserve BBs yet still having the joy of reloading. Adding a refreshing shimmer of realism to what would else be a cold, bitter morning shootout.
  19. This topic appeared appeared quite unseen on the airsoft subreddit, and I'm converting the question into a more open-ended one for you lovely people to share your anecdotes about other players. Who was the nicest/worst player you have came across in your airsoft 'Career' and Why?
  20. Hope you keep with airsoft It saddens me when people go in with a 'I'm invincible' mindset, and then shake their heads in disbelief as they get showered in BBs when they emerge from cover, and as a result of their poor decision making they decide they don't like the sport and never look back. On another note, similar to the green shirt issue, is when the Marshall of my regular site sometimes has poor placement. People use him as a shield to move between cover. Ah well.
  21. I'm just going to hop on the hype train. I too ... Cannot wait till it snows. My only concern is that a game day won't be a snow day, In the sense that It'll snow on the monday and I'll play on the thursday, so you're left with the thin, Browning, icy relic of the bygone era.
  22. I presume you found these statistics on a review, Sadly, there isn't a large pool of UK reviews out there, and most / all US reviews will say the statistics for the US version of the gun, as most reputable companies will make sure the FPS is suitable for the country said gun will be retailing in. I'd say you'll be fine, As most sites use Combat Machines as hire guns. Most websites also advertise the FPS of the gun in the description area, so be sure you are looking on UK websites too. Hope I helped
  23. Welcome to the forums! The Ainsley Harriott trend is on it's way out, So consider yourself thankful you missed it.
