  1. I look forward to seeing the results of this as well. Be nice to buy and not have to instal a restrictor on it straight away.
  2. Unless you have access to a chronograph getting just an M150 spring is a bit of a risk since it could potentially exceed 500 fps till the spring beds in - making it unusable at most sites in the UK. The spring alone does not account for your fps remember. I personally would buy an M130/M140 spring as well just in case.
  3. Yeah it was the only time I've seen something kick off in the group. Luckily the powers that be sorted it out pretty quick. He still regularly posts on RMAL-UK though. Think that's where the original "raffle" post started.
  4. Welcome to the site mate! If you're after a decent CQB site local then I can't recommend enough "The Gaol" in Oakham. Very well ran and with a decent player base. They run pistol/shotgun nights every Wednesday and regular games every other weekend. Hopefully see you there sometime (definitely will if you go tomorrow) as it's my regular site.
  5. Thought so, didn't want name him in case it wasn't him. Us Bolsheviks are a fairly easy going group but he even managed to piss us off so we kicked him out.
  6. Worth going to Airsoft Pro directly for parts - I've found it works out a lot cheaper than buying from certain UK suppliers for some bits. Even factoring in shipping costs et al.
  7. This. Best pistol you'll find under £100 new. Can be picked up even cheaper from Taiwan Gun/Gunfire.pl when they have them in stock. That said my ASG CZ75 was £80 new and that is a brilliant little gun for the price.
  8. Where I play gun hits count if they are across your chest or if it comes from in front of you. If you're poking your rifle out of cover and it hits the side I the barrel then it doesn't count. Just a matter of common sense really.
  9. 4 x FAST pistol mag pouches in black 3000 Rocket 0.25g BBs ~ £25 from gunfire incl. postage. Bought these for use at pistol games since I had an incident last night where the distinctive sound of my velcro pouch gave me away to someone in the next room. Hopefully should fit my cz75 mags (being 9mm in real steel) but if not won't take much to modify them.
  10. Still doesn't have a cup holder though...
  11. Well you don't often see many AK12s around. G&G CM16s though? Everyone seems to have them. You should have accepted!
  12. ...which isn't exactly hard to be better than...
  13. Depends on the gun and shell to be honest. My tri shot has taken any shell I've used in it, but my old single shot shotgun could only take small 14 round shells which were of really poor quality. This obviously only applies to spring shotguns as gas shotguns (apart from the TM M870 range) use specific shells for the gun in question. Best shells for a tri shot (in my opinion) are the Tokyo Marui ones followed by the classic Double Eagle ones: http://www.davescustomairsoft.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=369&search=Shotgun The more readily available ASG ones don't hold a candle to these shells. The quality difference is very obvious when you hold them let alone when you actually want to use them in your gun. I've had numerous ASG shells and they've all suffered from the same thing: a very weak spring. Out of the last 18 ASG shells I've bought I only have two that work reliably - even then I try not to use them unless I have to.
  14. Fairly solid gun, like all tri shots, just don't expect to be hitting the same range as an AEG. Only issue I had with mine was stock wobble which is a fairly common occurrence with that particular model. Other wise it's a very good gun for the price. Just have a care if you dissassemble it - can be a little bit tricky.
  15. Like everyone else has said: G&G or ICS for a good quality starter M4. Personally prefer the ICS for the quick change gearbox.
  16. Thanks for all the input guys, definitely taken a lot on board so now I have a fair few things to try out before my next skirmish.
  17. If they're ignoring 3 & 4 then this might just rekindle my love for the franchise. Hated 3, 4 and Prometheus...
  18. More than likely going to go for a 6.03mm tightbore over a 6.01mm - want more accuracy at range rather than a power increase. This is going off my own previous experience with my last rifle which had much tighter groupings with the wider barrel. Going to order some more parts and then see how it plays next week at The Gaol's Wednesday night shoot.
  19. Cheers for the advice! Yeah I've already made my barrel spacers out of some used wine corks so no worries about barrel vibration. Never considered using rolled up paper though so might give that a try - saving both money and my liver haha
  20. You caught me! Nah it's just something I'm running at the moment to challenge myself and I was curious to see if anyone had thoughts on how to get the best results from the low fps limit. Main benefit I wanted was the lack of a MED and a quieter rifle.
  21. Okay so I've been considering this for a while now and wanted some input on the matter from my fellow airsoft enthusiasts: how would go about getting the maximum range under 350 fps in a bolt action rifle? For simplicities sake using a VSR based platform. Just curious to see other peoples thoughts on this. Before anyone states it - yes I'm aware there's not much point running a bolt action at the fps levels that most AEGs shoot at.
  22. I'd love to make a montage or do a gameplay run to "Badboi" by Pegboard Nerds:
  23. Really tempted to get one of these so I'm curious to see how they are as well
  24. Was but now can't :/ Really gutted I can't make it
  25. Depends on how accurate you want it. For a very cheap loadout you could go for a KZS suit, chicom chest rig, bandanna and an AKM - gives you a very basic "Afghan War" impression. For a bit more accuracy you just replace the chest rig with an RD-54 back pack set up. Depending on where you shop a modern loadout can be quite affordable but knowing where to go is the hard part. Also involves a lot of patience waiting for your orders - Russian mail is notoriously slow.
