  1. I would open that gearbox and replace the gears. They will break sooner or later. Also, the piston head likes to crack too sometimes. The first thing to change if you are after range - not maximum range but the range where you can hit someone - are BBs. Use the best quality and heavy BBs. For aegs 0.28 or 0.30. Use the heaviest one your gun can handle. Fix the hopup unit and the barrel in place. You can put a rubber patch on the hopup unit to push it into the gearbox. This fixes most of that crappy m4 hopup's problem, except if it likes to loose the setting. If it is then change it to pro-win or a copy of that. Then find a rubber that your barrel, nozzle, and hopup likes. There is no best one here. One can work for someone, and doesn't in an other setup. There are good ones though you can choose from. Maple leaf, madbull, modify, etc.
  2. The new cymas are clones of G&G if I remember correctly, and they have metal body - or at least what's metal on the real steel that's metal on it too. Even the plastic parts are better on it than the TM's (correct me if I'm wrong) ABS. On the downside, the cyma is heavy as a brick. I don't know how heavy this TM is, I only had the old version of it. Internals are more precise in the TM, but the cyma will also work forever, even with the factory - too strong - spring.
  3. Then I do suggest a backpack you can take off yourself. Everyone I know who have tried the molle attached backpack regretted it later. I remember vaguely that there is a way a normal backpack can work with the vest's shoulder straps but I don't remember any details.
  4. Use rubbing alcohol instead of silicone. Silicone attracts dust and leave a slippery surface on the rubber - this comes off with a couple dozen of shots though. So use rubbing alcohol on the piece of towel on the cleaning rod. I read some guy said that you shouldn't use rubbing alcohol because it washes out the grease from the gears. I swear to god, he poured it down the barrel.
  5. I played at Eversley once. Great site with some fortifications and lots of sneaking around.
  6. What do you mean by molle pack? Backpack strapped to the molle webbing on your back? If you go that way, you'll always need someone to get things out - put things back to the backpack, which can be a pain in the ass for everyone involved. I run a molle belt, then a small chest rig, if I need more mags, and a backpack if I need more stuff to carry around. I'm modular and independent.
  7. I'm trying to help you here mate, to not to admit breaking the law on a public forum.
  8. You mean someone sprayed it tan then gifted it to you.
  9. It's always a risk. I recently sold a gun that I skirmished with and it worked amazing. It broke down in the buyer's hand at the first chronoing.
  10. GFC body - gunfire just rebrands some stuff. It is most probably Boyi or A&K. Their "GFC" guns are one of these. From your description, this is nowhere near £400.
  11. Do it like the big boys. Toss it down on the ground, spray some paint on it, turn it over, spray. Kick it around in the dirt some more. Ready.
  12. Ehobby asia is well known and good.
  13. Long time ago, and actually on a paintball game. There were 3 of us, my mate, a girl - her first game - and me. We are sitting in a cover, making the plan. "On the count of three, we run there." Everybody nods. "1... 2... 3... go". My mate starts running, the girl shoots him in the back from 1m. "What the hell was that?" She says "I got scared."
  14. If I would ever open a site, it would be part of the service provided. Airsoft is 50% posing.
  15. Good airsoft sniper rifles aren't much better than good aegs in range. It's the tactics you use with them, that make you a sniper, not the gun. Theoretically sniper rifles have longer range, but on the field, that's rarely used. You are more accurate, but shoot much less, so the effectiveness is about the same as aegs'.
  16. Cheers mate, too late. I was there yesterday. I should probably do a short review. Entering, parking, registration was smooth. The safe area is a nice big room with everything you need, and they have a shop set up too. Safety briefing came with pictures (broken teeth and such ) and covered everything just fine. Everyone got chronoed - not every gun. You got a mark on your hand if you had been at the chrono, but the gun was not marked. Also you used your own bbs to chrono. But I didn't heard of or met a too hot gun, so it looks like it's working. The site itself consists of two "spiders" - net of barrack like buildings and the immediate surroundings, so it's CQB. There are beds with pillows, cabinets, chairs, curtains, toilets, etc - some dark rooms too. Gameplay was about the same each round. One team defending, one attacking the buildings. Sometimes we needed to get / protect bombs, sometimes get to / protect boxes with lights, or just simply defend / attack. Not too long rounds, average breaks between them. The marshals were okay, they were around and keeping an eye on the gameplay. It was suppose to last until 16:30 but it actually ended a bit before 16:00 and quite a few people even left before the last round. So for me it was not the best and not the worst game - it was average, but was not really worth the above average price and the drive there. The regulars said, this was not a good day. Ah, one more thing. I was stunned that many people didn't wear face protection. I saw a few bleeding faces yesterday, and I too got shot in the face multiple times. One would have hit my tooth if I wasn't wearing the mask.
  17. Nope IMO. We should identify the target - that's part of the game. I oppose every step taken toward paintball.
  18. This video only proves that they can walk a few dozen meters. The fps is about 630 with that energy. With that, 100 meters range is believable - but not because of this vid. :/
  19. Real name would be useful too. He will just create a new account and continue to scam people. But I don't actually know if you are allowed to do that.
  20. Yes, and those are companies where you can be sure that the registration forms are sent to the government.
  21. Giving military training to random people. I came from the eastern block too so I know that terrorism threat is non existent there therefore it doesn't even cross our mind that this can be a real problem, but here it is one unfortunately. Actually even there the spec ops people - even the ex ones - are not allowed to teach it. (Well, the one I met told me that.)
  22. The g36 maybe for CQB. The mp7 is an ok sidearm.
  23. Ugh. Is it only me or is it a bit touchy subject?
