  4. Nope, CO2 has no liquid state.
  5. When you pressurise a gas, it will reach a maximum pressure for a given temperature and then will form a liquid. The big difference with Co2 is that it doesn't have a liquid state it goes from gas to solid instead, I guess in theory if you shake up a green gas magazine the liquid can slosh about, with a CO2 magazine you have bits of solid CO2 colliding and becoming gas again increasing the pressure? Pressure will be maintained under normal circumstances as every time you let some gas out, liquid converts to gas to maintain pressure at a constant level as long as you don't shoot so fast that the cooling effect of this process reduces the maximum pressure. Once you have no liquid (solid for CO2) left the pressure will drop.
  6. One problem with CO2 I have heard is that occasionally the 1st shot can randomly be significantly higher fps. This is the reason sites don't like it. You can pass chrono and then run around a bit and get 1 shot doing double what you chronoed at. As this is dangerous sites won't take the risk. For all I know this could be rubbish, but if a site believes it, how can you disprove it?
  7. hmm so diamond BB's are harder and probably cheaper...
  8. Given that it annoys me when people hold a Sten gun by the magazine... Shoot them all!!
  9. scrim net scarfs are designed to be used to cover your face in sniperey situations. Oh and cheapest camo cream is the original burnt cork.
  10. It's easy to fill up 2 pouches on P37. 6 Sten mags in 1 pouch, bottle of BB's, speedloader, chocolate and 2-3 nades in the other. Gas mask bag=Dump pouch.
  11. There is nothing wrong with the way you did things. I however would have taken the hit as a sniper rifle would have killed you IRL.
  12. Pattern 1937 webbing ftw It's modular It's long lasting It's cheap It's comfortable As an added bonus, with the use of patented Blanco technology, you can alter the colour! You can choose between Mk1, 2 and 3 pouches, double or triple rifle pouches. You can add holsters, pistol ammo pouches, water bottles, small or large backpacks, entrenching tool...
  13. Sooo close to having the funds for my SMLE. If I don't eat this week I could order it now :D

  14. No saluting in WW2 airsoft games either. Some people have rank badges but they mean nothing. There will be a designated officer for each side to co-ordinate things but thats it. No radios either. The main difference is that you work as a team, no lone wolfing. A lot of players are also re-enactors but there is no pressure to have perfect kit. Games vary but a few will have very limited combat. There was a game due to happen in August that was based on POW's escaping, so one side was actually unarmed. It just seems a lot more fun to have a more immersive experience rather than a series of hour long games among some big blue barrels with teams made up of SWAT, Seals and god knows what else. It's also nice that there's no-one with a £1000 gun always shooting you before you can get anywhere near being in range to hit him. Also people tend to take their hits.
  15. A cheap red dot is always useful, it makes aiming so much easier. This is especially true for CQB. There are a vast array of different shapes and sizes for a red dot sight, it's mainly down to personal preference.
  16. Had a quick go at an MP5 based sniper:
  17. WW1 airsoft 2 trench systems with open ground between them. Set up machineguns behind each, unable to hit opposing machinegun position but with the opposing trench just in range. 2 teams with bolt action rifles.... The game would last 4 years without any real clear winner, but to improve chances of recruiting people to play, we'll tell them it'll be over by Christmas To win the game you just have to blame the Germans at the peace talks afterwards.
  18. Do Not take one to fields or anywhere public. They are imitation firearms and that would be illegal and potentially dangerous. If you are under 18, it is illegal for you to buy one.
  19. Allies vs Japanese WW2 game. Need a site with dense woodland and some bunkers etc. Japanese will be harder to recruit so we give them some advantages: They can hide a number of square boards around the battlefield, these are trap doors to a tunnel system and Japanese can respawn at any of these (so if the allies miss one then they may get a surprise attack from the rear). Allies have to place explosives on each trap door to disable it. The Japanese officer can call a Banzai charge. All japanese must then rush allied positions but they have 10 seconds of life after they get hit. When hit players can be medic'd by another player tying a bandage on the arm. Japanese can medic themselves. If shot when already wearing a bandage, you are dead and must respawn from your start area. Japanese players can also respawn at any trapdoor that does not have explosives on. Allied player should be given limited knowledge of the japanese special rules to create maximum confusion and panic.
  20. I think basically the difference is just added features and price. If I remember correctly I had to get the more expensive one because the cheaper one is always sold out. I have never seen it in stock.
  21. The cheaper one is always sold out? I can't remember where I got mine, or which version but all I use if for is to set a burst count of 1, 2, 3 or full auto. The rest of the features are just too complicated to remember how to do them
  22. I used to use a cheap tactical vest. I now of course use pattern 37 webbing. Webbing is still an option worth considering, whether it's just a belt setup for CQB or a full load for a multiday milsim. Whether it's P37 ww2 stuff, P54 falklands era stuff or PLCE.
  23. Thats what Dad's are for, sorting out any DIY job you can't do
  24. It took a month to arrive but Yay!!! I now have my WW2 Aussie Uniform :)

  25. Cerberus have a 350fps limit, as do most outdoor sites. If the gun shoots 320-330fps then it probably already has an M100 spring so ignore that upgrade option. What happens when you fancy a change and want to try an indoor site?
