Airsoft_Mr B reacted to jcheeseright in LBX Kit ? Whats your thoughts ?
LBX are the foreign manufacturing arm of LBT (London Bridge Trading (http://lbtinc.com/) who make lots and lots of very solid equipment for various militaries.
I've had a look at a few bits of LBX kit, honestly I couldn't tell a massive difference from the LBT stuff in terms of materials and quality of stitching. It seemed like well made durable kit, of course only time will tell and it's all pretty new to the market, I don't think they've been going for much longer than 2 years which isn't really long enough to call something durable.
Their own camo patterns are f*cking hideous though, taipan especially makes me want to tear my eyes out!

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Philby21 in AK2M4
Hi folks,
I know this guy (Pete I think?) is a member on here and I hope he sees this!
Only ordered from him once so far through his website (www.ak2m4.co.uk) but despatch was very fast and well packed, cannot fault his service. Admittedly a few things seem to be out of stock on his website but he carries plenty of alternatives and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
I'll be placing another order for quite a few internal parts late next week (gear set, cylinder, cylinder head, piston head, shims, air nozzle - need to replace the gear set but decided to upgrade a few other bits at the same time) and don't doubt that the order will arrive promptly and safe.
I'm looking forward to trying out the new toys when they arrive and I'll try and remember to add to this with how well everything performs.
Phil

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to TheFull9 in M4 purchase.. But which one?
What's 'better'? You define that for yourself based on what you want out of the gun.
The G&Gs are good. Personally I'd have the Krytac or KWA, but if you prefer the price or looks or something else on the G&G, buy it from a decent retailer like Pro Airsoft Supplies or Airsoft Zone, you certainly won't go wrong.

-AC Combat shirts x 2
-AC Field trousers
Alas, I'm a Small in every other brand of combat shirt, just not Crye. So I'll have to sell the buggers right off the bat, which is a PITA frankly after waiting bloody ages for them to get here. #firstworldairsoftproblems

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Sitting Duck in Is this any good?
ok for cqb backup - but little power/range
AEP's hit 200fps at best - gas about 300-ish
if it gets to somebody further away they may not feel it easily
electric works even in very cold weather
can be lipo'd but if they break they can be fiddly to fix
most use gas guns - if you are on a very very low budget......

- Warrior QRS black sling.
- Warrior olive drab M4 velcro mag pouch.
- Cold steel leatherneck rubber knife with kydex sheath (because why not?)
- Abbey predator ultra gas 700ml x2.
- 6000 Blaster 0.25's.
- Custom name and flag patch.
- Enola gaye mk5 thunderflashes x3.
These damn UK Tac discounts keep getting to me haha! Now searching for some clothing and extras to add to my plate carrier. I want a decent UBACS type shirt once I've decided on a specific camo, and I might invest in a division six lower face mask and bollé glasses.

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to maximo17000 in New Airsoft Mask
This is something i feel quite strongly about as most of the masks out there piss me off lol. Just to add to the survey could you do something that was soft on your face yet still really breathable. Could you use a size lens that fits ones already out there? so you could include a mesh lens but people could also fit there bole (or whatever brand you choose) lenses in? TBH I don't like the hydration idea as i feel it may be hard to get to with teeth, and get in the way, instead, just make it flimsy enough if fabric to get the mouthpiece under?
just some thoughts. need a new mask as its a real problem for me.
Are you doing A level DT by any chance?

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Esoterick in Quick Questions & Simple Answers.
I use Isopropyl wipes, the ones I have are just the right size when cut along the fold in them to squeeze into the barrel. I picked up something like 300 for £5 on ebay a while back.

recently I've been using glasses cleaning cloths from Lidl, they come ready folded in the packet so you just need to put them in the cleaning rod and get going.

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to proffrink in Quick Questions & Simple Answers.
Isopropyl and kitchen towel (or a lint-free cloth).
Also, there was a test on using silicone as well as isopropyl: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28054-cleaning-with-isopropyl-alcohol-vs-silicone/ - basically, alcohol to clean then silicone to make that surface resistant to anything that comes off the BBs.

Silencer arrived, definitely looks much better - and as a complete surprise to me, it makes it noticeably quieter.

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Esoterick in Zero One and their Consistently Dubious Business Pratices
I think that's a fair point, they also have a considerable number of products on Zero One where they couldn't be bothered to fill in the product description. I've always avoided them because I have heard lots of stories of how their handling of faulty guns suck.
