Airsoft relies on people taking their hits, otherwise it'd devolve into a sadomasochistic event where people just shoot each other until someone uses the safety-word or has to change their underpants.

In my experience, everyone who plays airsoft regularly has the right idea about taking hits and how to behave in their mind. However, many people aren't used to adrenaline, or any shade of combat, and many people can behave in a manner they're hopefully embarrassed about once the juices get going. People can get trapped in the moment, and the most common kind of non-hit-taking i witness is those who don't acknowledge the hit until their current purpose has been completed (like the person they're shooting at taking the hit). Then the logic side of the brain takes back over from caveman and order ensues.

There's nothing airsoft can do to stamp it out other than turning it into laser-quest, or making everyone use tracers, or have 1 marshal per person like in some those mental Japanese tournaments I've seen online.

The best thing the community can do is to make the process of taking the hit seem easier and more enjoyable. This is achieved by all those good-sporting types who congratulate people when hit and cheerfully skip back to re-spawn. Kudos to you all, I try, but sometimes barely able to squeak 'hit' let alone any kind of congrats (the arm goes up with a raised thumb on reflex now, I've beaten the paintball urge to check my clothing for marks finally hehe)

I probably am. Of the female players I've known/met/seen, I've yet to see a single one with a 1911, it's not a very popular platform these days. I've seen a few lads with pink M4s but nobody else with super-fabulous sidearms to match (which is the way I like to roll). With the wide availability of cheap Glocks and M&Ps the striker-fired guns have taken over mostly, whereas when I started airsoft everyone had 1911s, Hi-Capas, 226s and M9s with a few TM and KSC Glocks floating around, but the M&P was just a twinkle in TM's eye at that point. It makes sense for the G17s etc to be popular because they are the most practical, a fact that very much mirrors the RS world. But yeah, not much market for ladies' 1911 accessories.

Try and get yourself a Firefly soft bucking if you can find one, fitted one to my L86 and it now get's excellent range and accuracy.

Saying that, G&G greens, Prometheus purples and guarder clears are also excellent buckings. If you've got the time, have a go at R-hopping if you want some serious range.

If im reading it right he wishes to skirmish but hasnt got enough time to dedicate fully to the sport. And as we know its cheaper to take part with your own gear and saves on needing to book if 9pm on a friday you suddenly think "i fancey an airsoft game this weekend" if an rif isnt a big concern for you then buying a decent two tone still serves you well id say.

All you have to do to get ukara is play 3 games in no less than 2 months. Shouldn't cost you anything except for the price of the skirmishes which you would do anyway. You can always get a two tone and then paint it a proper colour once you get ukara anyway. After a while you won't want to be rocking a two tone.

for £190 you can buy a MUCH better gun then that,
for example I just bought a new Ak74 with full steel and wood furniture for £130 that will out perform that thing at everything.
If youre 20 I woudl advice gettign a UKARA by renting a gun then looking ot buy. dont buy ANYTHING from those type of websites, theyre con merchants

    DON'T BUY THOSE!!!!!

Look for G&G Combat Machine guns on Zero One, Pro Airsoft or anywhere else that sell them. You will need to have it two toned but most places will do that for free or at worst a small charge.

DO NOT buy from websites with "BB Guns" in the name, they're all rubbish. Particularly that one.

I'd start with 0.25s and work your way up as some guns just won't lift heavier BBs.

With that budget you can buy pretty much any AEG on the market. I quite like the look of the new Krytac SPR.
The PTS RM4 is quite a cool gun aswell. If i was getting a new gun it would be one of those 2 i think,
