Hi all, just wanted to say 'ello.

I'm a refugee from occasional games of paintball and lots of PC milsims like ARMA II. Of course, no paintball or PCs when I was a kid in the 70s, and all me and my mates did was boot a football about or play 'war' over the woods. What great days they were even though the guns were rubbish and no one ever took their shots!

Anyway, me and the other half have decided to give airsoft a go and we've booked The Mall this Sunday, so might see some of you there. I'm praying she doesn't team kill anyone!

For me I would like to get:

    LCT AS VAL
    Krytac Trident (long version)
Tope of the range AK 74u

Think I would be happy with them.

Ahhh I hope that's not the case saying that it's only cost me about £13 and if it does the job then I've saved myself a ton on the alternatives

Just about any GBB pistol is practical, so long as it holds enough gas to empty a mag. I use a WE F228 and its been very reliable for me. I broke a mag once or twice dropping it.

Plastic slide pistols like TM ones will work on colder weather; my 228 wouldn't cycle when there was snow on the ground but my G5 didn't break it's stride in the cold.

Pistols for me are just for very close range (ie fighting inside buildings) or as a last-resort sidearm. My 228 doesn't have great accuracy past about 15m but I only tend to use it within that range

As for practice, I use other people at a skirmish as target practice. They're mostly realistic targets and I get a unique challenge every time so it doesn't get repetitive.

Seriously though, pistols are surprisingly easy to handle under stress, precision shooting at range is hard but in close quarters its quite natural aiming and taking snap shots after just a little bit of practice

You have apparently misunderstood the context here Grover

Its not a question of practicality, but of the airsoft variant of IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation).

Anything that looks like multicam but doesn't specifically say the word multicam and come from a reputable retailer, is just a copy. Simple as that.

All said clones and copies vary a little bit and are slightly differently shaped and shaded. However if you're not really in to your kit you won't notice the difference 90% of the time and other people who're any distance from you/in a dimly lit area/behind trees or whatever definitely won't notice any difference. When you get to whatever skirmish site you're playing at, 99% of people won't be able to tell any difference between the real stuff, MTP and any of the many many clones out there. I've seen all sorts of military people in various trades who wear MTP literally all day every day be entirely unable to tell even some of the worst clone items from the genuine article; literally the cheapest chinese clone stuff that was half snot green and half actual barbie pink it was so badly manufactured... still couldn't see it was different.

Any one trued one? Looks comfier than a lower mesh (which i hate wearing) but not sure if it will protect my teeth from am actual hit or is just a gimic like a neoprene lower (which sufocates you as you atempt to breath through it as you run) my issue is i like my ess v12's and hate lower mesh masks. I just want to be comfy and keep my teeth is it so much to ask in airsoft?

    Hi Guys,

Played my first airsoft game at the weekend with some mates (their first time too!) at The Outpost by First and Only in Kinver.

Absolutely epic day, Had a blast! Even in the pitch black and my make shift torch assembly ran out of batteries at the start of the last big game

Now looking into kit, and stuff I'm away and can't book my next round until mid-late September, Looking to get UKARA and then get a rifle (GM16 Raider-L?).

Going to play at some other F&O sites to get a try of both CQB and woodland warfare to decide which I prefer and go from there!

Another one of my friends is also interested in getting more into it... Watch this space

Basically, yes. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell you all about the minute differences between multicam, V cam and MTP.

A motor in a real steel grip? I doubt that is possible. I'd imagine it would be mounted to the receiver differently (for example you would need to drill out a hole for the motor shaft to go through as well) and it won't be hollow or be able to mount a motor plate onto it.
Most manufacturers (of airsoft replicas) make their grips slightly bigger than real ones to accommodate the motor, although that said I'm sure I've heard RS on the other hand have grips which are more accurate to real dimensions. Don't ask me how though.

Not sure about the features on the WE (I was gonna get one myself but everyone recommends to get an IMAX B6)
I'm assuming you're talking about the model which is about £15?

It's is obviously quite a simple smart charger compared to others - but nonetheless, the main feature is that it should cut off once a battery is fully charged at the very least.

well, the idea with the smart charger is that it should do the thinking and not overcharge your batteries etc..

Look up EdGi on Facebook. The parts are about £200 delivered direct from the maker and you get a couple of extras (trigger assembly?) too. Message EdGi and you'll get a reply within hours, the customer support is fantastic.

As said there's nothing wrong with Norvitsch thrying to supplement his income with this. If you're happy to pay his prices to support his YouTube channel then great, his vids are very entertaining. But if you want the same parts cheaper then go direct.

By all accounts the EdGi stuff really is top notch, certainly no complaints on that front.
