  1. Well there's the Magpul rifle stock? It's designed as a replacement for the standard A2 fixed stock like yours. Otherwise you're going to need a buffer tube for fitting a collapsible stock (e.g. Magpul ACS / CTR / LE or crane stock)
  2. I've always found trigger discipline and weapon handling stuff kind of obvious and natural to do. For example your grip on a pistol should be as high up on the frame as possible but sometimes you see people holding it like half way and it looks retarded, not to mention completely impractical and probably uncomfortable. I don't know why you would do that. Reminds me of that kid on one of scoutthedoggie's videos with an MP5 and was holding the grip with his left hand and the stock with his right or something. Like Nickona said it's just a bad attitude / not good practice to have your finger on the trigger. We could all say 'oh well we're not stupid enough to have it loaded' etc but obviously we do it for a reason anyway. Nothing bad is likely to happen but it could so you should be careful and responsible, even if it is just a replica it's still capable of firing a pellet and regardless of where it hits someone it's still not supposed to be discharged in the safe zone or whatever. He's got eye pro on and he's at home and everything so it's fine really.
  3. Thanks for the link! For what it is though, I'd rather just buy a plate carrier or get a new chest rig or some pouches. Not to say Blue Force Gear isn't really good, but I was looking at spending more like £20 and not £40-£50
  4. You may have seen I started a project to make one of these a while back, although that project is currently on hold. It wouldn't work too well with a normal style AR-15 USGI magazine. I'll probably try to re-start the project when I buy a KWA RM4 and make a bandolier for my ERG mags. Speaking of which, it REALLY annoys me there is a next to no materials available in the UK! I know there are a few manufacturers producing some fabrics as well as a few shops selling hardware, yet this is absolute sh*t when compared to the stock in the US. I know it's a bit stupid comparing the United Kingdom to the United States, but nevertheless it's disappointing when there seems to be nowhere to buy this kind of stuff. I suppose there's just not the same market for whatever the word it is for producing gear / clothing. It seems to be the same for DIY. I don't know much, but unlike America where they can go to Lowes / Home Depot etc, there is comparatively f*ck all in Homebase / Wickes / B&Q / trade wholesalers or smaller independent businesses AFAIK where you can easily buy miscellaneous parts or PVC pipe. We can't even buy springs without having them custom made (I was told that by a guy who owns a shop supplying nuts / bolts / screws / springs and all hardware / fixings like that) FYI, my dad is also fairly knowledgeable when it comes to this sort of stuff and he agrees with me on this. Sorry about the rant. I haven't found this bandolier on sale anywhere in the UK, and after checking Grey Ghost Gear's website, it's $45 shipping! (£44 or so in total including shipping then, for something worth under £20) I was wondering if anybody has by any chance seen it or a similar alternatively. In terms of MOLLE bandoliers, there was the BLACKHAWK STRIKE one on Tactical Kit for £30. It's sold out and I'm not sure if they're going to re-stock it. Your opinion of bandoliers in general (for airsoft) etc would be interesting to hear too. ^ Guy made his own, very similar to my idea.
  5. I've got a few quick loadout questions on my mind. Originally I was considering a USMC style loadout since I was going to buy MARPAT, although I'm now not too sure about doing this for a couple of reasons. WARNING - I DON'T KNOW ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK BUT TBH I RECKON I WROTE THIS KIND OF QUICKLY / SEEMS LIKE A WALL OF TEXT / SEMI-RANT / OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD. Hope you understand. Sorry in advance. It's late and I'm taking a quick break from revision. Firstly, I'm not exactly a hardcore mil-sim enthusiast, I had no intention of buying anything that's the real deal, and I know the loadout would never been completely accurate anyway. Secondly, I've discovered I'd rather not buy any coyote brown gear as you're quite limited in terms of plate carriers. I don't think CB would really work with any other loadout, plus you're limited to a specific plate carrier such as the MTV if trying to do something US Marines style. So I think you can see from what I've put above is that I'm no longer really interested in doing anything too realistic. I'm considering sticking with MARPAT / Digital Woodland BDUs (MCCUU) but getting OD stuff. To be specific, a Condor MOPC in OD and Flyye or Condor drop leg magazine pouch. I guess I just wanted to know your opinions on this... Thing is I'm also really liking the looking of Polish Woodland. Especially on the Helikon Patriot Fleece. If I'm spending £50 I'd rather get it in OD though, so I can use casually as well as for airsoft use. Removed the thing about the bandolier - I should make a seperate post for that.

Good luck, although as a teacher of science (biology is my specialism) I really should be telling you to get the hell off the internet and get revising.

      Good luck.

  7. Bloody hell! $122 shipping for an A&K M249 MKII and it's still cheaper than buying it from Zero One. (By £50 or so IIRC)

I've already got one (the Para version), I was just thinking you may have been celebrating a little soon! ;)

  8. As long as it's only temporary it will be fine. You're on your own property as well.
  9. Generally you're going to use around 1mAh a shot. So, you should get 3,300 shots from a 3300mAh battery.
  10. Mine is the same unfortunately. Just has these sort of slot things on it. I bought a new real steel style one but I couldn't put it on my upper because my receiver isn't threaded shitty CYMA M4
  11. http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/cm16_transparent_starter_pack.html You'll get absolutely excellent service from the guys at Pro Airsoft Supplies. Doesn't need two-toning, and IMO looks a lot better than orange / blue! Plus you'll get the charger and battery you need too. Also, if you're interested in an AK, CYMA do good ones. My dad bought a blowback AK47 for £120 (on sale from £190) Hope this helps!
  12. Don't buy from JBBG, or any site with 'bb guns' in the name! By the way it's a defence, not a licence. Justbbguns is a rip-off and their guns are terrible quality for the price you pay. Not to mention that a lot of the information about them is wrong / dodgy. If you comment on anything they remove anything bad and it's the same with their website reviews. They can choose the ones they display but I've seen somewhere they have 2/5 stars or so. They solely exist to try and get money from beginner airsofters like yourself! SRC aren't the best manufacturer but as far as I know their G36s are alright. Like Lambster said, you could get a lot more for your money and G&G guns are good. In fact, pretty much everyone here on the forums recommends their Combat Machine range.
  13. Thanks for the comment! Glad you liked the review I wrote this review quite a while ago, and nowadays I have to say I'm more inclined to going for proper mil-spec pouches rather than anything cheap from airsoft-club. It's still quite a good website, but if you have a look around on eBay / Flecktarn etc, you could find some very nice stuff and still not have to pay too much. I would strongly recommend UKTactical too. They also has a sale on at the moment for Warrior Assault Systems pouches, which are all real mil-spec quality. Will no doubt last you ages if you are prepared to pay a bit more for them. Actually...that said, I got a WAS triple magazine pouch in the sale for £12.50 posted and that's still a lot cheaper than airsoft brand ones would cost.
  14. Agreed! Exams at the moment but when I get a job I'm upgrading my MP5K and buying some new guns
  15. I'd really like to see these drones! I didn't think many sites have things like that.
  16. Who told you two hours? 500mA milliamp / hour, 3000mAh so ~ 9 hours for a full charge.
  17. As stupid as it is - just be thankful we're not in Australia or Thailand etc.
  18. KWA RM4? £330 at Land Warrior That 97B looks great though! Real Sword are awesome.
  19. I thought about getting a ghillie suit and sniper rifle and telling everyone I would pwn them (with my epic qui1cksc0p3 skillz) I reckoned that could be funny I've actually ordered a horse mask too.
  20. Crossdraw vest! Must be a n00b!! Just kidding, it's good to copy a loadout, but some people take it much too seriously. For example there was some team of blokes who turned up at Halo Mill a while ago in full MTP gear. Wouldn't be bad at an outdoor skirmish - but for a CQC like that it's a bit unnecessary. If something works well for you, use it. You shouldn't needlessly over-encumber yourself or use equipment that you don't like for the sake of authenticity. Modern day operators focus on speed and cutting down on weight for a reason. One thing I don't understand are vests with the magazine pouches on the right. Unless you're left-handed, I'm pretty sure it would be better to have them on the left.
  21. I try to go outside and shoot but there are all these houses above us on a hill, and they always come out onto their balcony to chill so it's kind of offputting. I don't think they really see / care though.
  22. Just print them.
  23. If it's from a good manufacturer then there's bound to be some reviews of it on YouTube.
  24. Best price I've seen a dump pouch (that isn't a cheap Chinese one) is mine I got for a fiver from Flecktarn. It's only in UCP though and postage will be £4.50. You can get one from China on eBay for around £5-£6 but of course there's at least a month to wait for shipping.
  25. FOR THE KWA RM4 ERG + ONE BOX SET OF THREE ERG MAGAZINES: $409.90 = £244 + $91 (£54) = $500.90 = £298 20% (£244) = £48.80 5% = £12.20 = £61 £244 + £61 (Import Duty + VAT) + £13 (Handling) + £54 (Shipping) = £372 (Extra Costs = £128) ________________________________ RM4 from Land Warrior Airsoft = £330 3 ERG Magazine Box Set = £36 = £376 [+ £10 for shipping] If my calculations are correct, just get it from LWA.
