  1. If you're looking at buying multiple PCs I would say go with what you know (ie Invader Gear) particularly as you want vegtato as an option because not that many companies make that pattern. Alternatively, pick a colour that works across different camno loadouts (like Ranger Green or Tan) and splurge on one half decent plate carrier instead.
  2. Not sure if it's a trick of the lens but it doesn't look like the magnifier is parallel with the rail - the front looks higher than the back. Which to be fair is pretty typical of that kind of mount.
  3. Yes. They operate on the same frequency bands.
  4. You seem to have misspelled "vector's". @mike223 For the avoidance of doubt you only need one RIF. As long as you keep it maintained then it's going to be reliable enough for you to enjoy the game on a regular basis. Of course, if you want more than one then that's fine too. Full disclosure - I have three M4's and a MK12 (which is basically an M4 in a frilly dress), three M14's (one long, one short and one in a frilly dress - ie an EBR), two MP5s, a SCAR-L, a G3, an M249 (when my back holds out), a MAC 11, a breacher shotty and an HK45. I used to have an AK but the ergonomics didn't work for me. Logistics isn't an issue if you're prepared to put in a bit of thought or just have a few rigs/placards. Lately I'm favouring the old school stuff that will hold just about any mags. If you have space in your house and your bank balance can stand it, fill your boots. Just don't get into debt to play toy guns. Be honest with yourself and keep what you like unless you need to either make space or money.
  5. I'd suggest taco style pouches. They'll take pretty much anything. If you fancy something in Tan I have a couple of WAS taco style pistol pouches available...
  6. It is bit of a beast. Must get around to weighing it in full trim...
  7. Being somewhat of an M14 fanboy I would say that the TM is great out of the box (but as is typical for TM, low on power). I have three Cyma M14s all of which have been spectacular out of the box in terms of range. They're not always hot FPS wise out of the box but certainly usable. A better barrel and hop rubber will almost certainly see your FPS go up and a new motor won't hurt as the standard Cyma one is a bit rubbish. If you go for the full length one it is REALLY long, if you go for the EBR it's REALLY front heavy. The Socom sits in the Goldilocks zone of having a long enough barrel but without all that tedious apologising for taking people's eyes out when you turn round. I also have an E&C based MK12 which is a LOT easier to work on (QC spring, it's basically an M4 etc) but I do gravitate towards the M14s. Must be the masochist in me.
  8. WAS taco style pouches work well and don't cost a fortune. Or you could look at esstac ones with the kydex insert.
  9. Cerakote is like any other surface finish. It entirely depends on surface prep and the person who is doing the coating. Add to which while it IS durable, it's not indestructible and WILL wear eventually. How long that takes is entirely dependent upon the aforementioned prep and execution plus the way it's used after that.
  10. Welcome to airsoft. 20% excitement, 80% disappointment when shit doesn't fit.
  11. Are you looking to change the ratio or anything? Also - where are you based? M135 seems a bit hot.
  12. Depends on the material. EPDM yes, pretty much anything else - no.
  13. Inserts like that are designed to ideally go into ventilated caps. I have one for work.
  14. Pah, amateurs. Real men drink Snakebite and Baileys.
  15. I went the other way and have stuck with kydex holsters. Oh, and using a different pistol!
  16. I was going to say that sounds like a holster issue to me.
  17. We live in a "post truth" world and it's becoming harder and harder to distinguish fact from fiction in many cases. Trust but verify has become my approach to news these days. Avoid the sources that are clearly biased (*cough* Fox News) and draw input from a wide range of sources (personally that tends to be CNN, Sky News etc) and look for the commonality. If a lot of people are saying one thing and a few are saying something that sounds like bollocks then chances are, it's bollocks.
  18. Nice! Where did you source the Aimpoint and LAM?
  19. Trump was always going to defend the man who got him into power! As for Quora, it's like a car crash. You want to look away but for some horrible reason you just can't. Personally, I live for the spectacularly British responses to idiot (and often bot generated) questions about why we don't want to live in a free country like the USA! It's not in the middle. It's mostly not even on Quora, which is a wretched hive of scum and villainy. As for the truth of why Russia is in Ukraine? They say it's because there's a Nazi regime committing genocide against Russians living in Ukraine and that is demonstrably wrong. This has been brewing for a LONG time (if you fancy a read and want to know more - https://www.npr.org/2021/12/24/1066861022/how-the-soviet-unions-collapse-explains-the-current-russia-ukraine-tension?t=1645790108350&t=1645791586753).
  20. I'd say that right now, it's in fairly poor taste given the reasons why the Russians say they're in Ukraine. I don't see that it's in any way the same as rocking up in WW2 German kit though. That can be viewed through the lens of historical reenactment etc playing as Russians would only really be the same as wearing Nazi gear if you were LARPing in France while Germany was invading Poland.
  21. I very much agree with this, there is metrics by which you can measure the quality of gear like this (weight, durability, fitness for purpose etc) but I do think there's an amount of subjective judgement to be made as to whether something is "good enough" for you. I'm not entirely sure that brand plays a huge part in the cost of tactical nylon so much as reputation and small batch sizes. Looking at companies like Platatac for example that sell off contract overruns they're really not that expensive for what they are. Companies like Crye, Mayflower/Velocity etc spend a lot of money getting military contracts and that is always going to be reflected in the cost to the retail consumer (who aren't really their primary market). Like you say, there's definite strata within the Asian nylon market, I have gear from TMC, Emerson, Flyye and Condor and they're all perfectly good for airsoft. I have some Warrior Assault Systems gear and plagiarism claims aside, their kit is made well enough for the price and is certainly more than good enough for airsoft. I have a number of friends who have Crye, Spiritus and First Spear kit (none of whom have mortgages, just FYI) and on the face of it, they don't carry their airsoft mags and grenades any better than mine do. They'll probably outlast my gear but I change my mind fairly regularly on what I want to run so paying "real steel" prices just isn't going to work for me.
  22. Is it actually any better than the likes of TMC or Emerson though? They're in a similar ball park cost wise and as far as airsoft goes, they're fine but they're not "truly quality" either!
  23. With the best will in the world, that's not exactly a "truly quality" plate carrier What's your budget? What do you want out of it?
  24. It's possible your lack of involvement on the forum is putting people off getting in touch. Maybe try getting your post count up and interacting with more discussion threads.
