  1. I VERY much doubt anyone has tried doing this but hey, fill your boots. Parts list here
  2. Yes, you can absolutely run a chest rig with a shooters belt. I run my Platatac Peacekeeper with a shooters belt too so unless you're a midget, you'll be fine. Alternatively, if you want to stick to the belt mounted mag carriers, have you thought about fitting them with QLS mounts? That way you don't have to fuck about getting the carrier OFF the belt as such as the base part stays put, you just swap over the actual holstery bit.

Keep it cocked when you're out on the field. Alas they're not great guns so yeah, gas efficiency is garbage. You can try nineball gas routers to eliminate leakage between the mag and the gun but it still won't be great.
  4. OK, I'm game...what's the benefit? I see that they're small and portable and stuff but does it solder any better than a thermostatic bench one?
  5. I'm sorry, what? You have a soldering iron with "custom firmware"? WTF?
  6. Seriously though, throw it away and buy a better rubber.
  7. Nice! By the way, ASGK is the Japanese airsoft regulatory commission, not a manufacturer.
  8. They're only rated to 0.86 J. Not sure I'd be recommending them for airsoft.
  9. You'd be amazed what guitarists will buy if you tell them it'll improve their tone.
  10. The Cyma (and of course the TM it's copied from) usually have excellent range and accuracy out of the box, hence the love. They don't NEED loads doing to them as long as you can live with the slow gearbox and slightly poo trigger response. A better motor, tightbore barrel and a decent hop rubber and you're off to the races for long range pewage! Obviously the SOCOM scores by being a little bit easier to manhandle but it's still a big lump compared to the average M4 (that said, my MK12 is long and heavy so....). Of course, if you really want a gun you can justify putting a bipod on just so you don't have to hold the bloody thing, get the EBR!

  12. Brilliant! Actually...I may have been there for that!
  13. That's just marketing bullshit and spandex boy hype. When my main site was The Mall (too soon, RIP), I would regularly play with full length M4s, a SCAR-L, an M249 (no, really - it was hilarious). I've seen people playing with M14s (granted, the SOCOM short barrel ones but still). Unless you're playing in a broom cupboard, 100mm vs 200mm is completely moot. Get the long one.
  14. +1 on FFI. I have the Tiger Stripe set, bloody marvellous for the price! That would be quite the reach for them of all people!
  15. Most if not all sites chrono with the hop set so you should be fine!
  16. HOLY HEIGHT OVER BORE, BATMAN! Got the claw mount to work in the end then?
  17. Water = bladder = new hydration kit Peanuts = field expedient sustainment = new pouch Where's the problem?
  18. Which is fine if you want him to do it...
  19. Decent V7 gearsets are like rocking horse poo. Prometheus do (did) a higher speed set but they're pretty much unobtanium these days (if you can find them it'll be an HK import). A tightbore barrel will up your FPS, so then you'll want to knock a couple of teeth off the pickup side of the sector gear. Having discussed at length with everyone's favourite sweary tech, a Warhead motor is a good upgrade BUT you will have to heavily modify the motor cage to get it to fit.

  21. I'd say it would. Other way around, maybe not but the brim and nape on a PASGT comes further out/down than a MICH2000. Worth a punt I'd say.
