Where's your sense of adventure? 😁 That said, I've not used either of those specific guns but generally the Ares seems to be the one gun they make that people don't absolutely hate working on. The Specna should be fine too (I have an older SA-A03). As others have said if you want a REALLY short thing then have a look at the Firehawk/ARP etc from G&G but it all depends on what your budget is. Personally I'd go for a MK18 style but that's just my passionate hatred for anything with a 2" barrel (other than the MP5k of course). The other option to make transport easier would be to split the upper and lower for transport which will immediately make the whole thing shorter and easier to carry.

Suffice to say that nothing in this thread has persuaded me to move away from a butt load of paper pyro. Apart from anything else I do so love showing myself up as the arthritic mess I am by attempting to yeet a bang at the enemy only for it to fall pathetically short and blow me up instead. I'm starting to get that impression! I need to dig the masks out of some drawers in the garage but there's two rolls of the film: The AeroPro stuff (with the blue squares on the backing paper) is slightly thinner and more flexible, the grey sign mask is a bit more durable. They're quite chunky so I'd have to work out postage but £10 for the AeroPro, £20 for the grey (plus post).

Somewhat late to this party but if anyone is interested in it, I have a roll of low tack masking film and some freehand masks left from my days as a custom painter that I don't need anymore. Sensible offers will secure it! For anyone that's interested in the process it's worth looking into things like a Craft Robo cutter (if they still make them) or something similar. They're fairly cheap, link to a PC and can cut pretty much anything down to about 6pt lettering!

You'll be fine, they're very good springs! Also (absolutely no disrespect to @Leo Greer) some of the parts that have been recommended by Leo are easier to get hold of in the US. Doesn't mean the parts you can get here/via HK aren't going to be just as decent.

Not case law example but it would appear that there is potential for a negligence claim.

Does SIA even cover first aid? I wouldn't trust half the doormen I know to put on a Band Aid let alone anything more serious!

I have a travel FA kit in the boot of my car with all the usual stuff but the point is (as alluded to by others), unless you are trained and indeed certified, while most people would be happy to accept basic assistance the site should have nominated, trained and most importantly, insured First Aiders on site. If you render aid and something does go wrong then not only are you potentially opening the site up to a liability claim, you also open yourself to one. I know we don't live in quite the litigious society that exists in the US but it DOES happen.

There is an answer as it is all still governed by the laws of physics. The sheer number of variables however, make it at least impractical if not almost impossible to find the right result for every combination of parts.

GT85 is great. Used to use it all the time on my mountain bike. Smalls fantastic too! Halfords should have some.

Just to throw some more confusion in to the mix, I have a Gen 1 Mustang SFP scope, the Victoptics S6 (1-6 x 24 SFP) and I had the original version of what is now the Victoptics ZOD 1-4 (mine was FFP). Victoptics are the "budget" range of Vector Optics products but they are definitely better than most other cheap units. The S6 comes with a throw lever for the magnification ring too. They've all been fantastic scopes. The ones that go down to x1 are true x1, they hold their zero and will survive most ham fisted treatment. I say most because apparently if an 18 stone bloke falls arse over tit and lands on it, it bends.
