  1. It is an industry standard term and describes the charge rate of a battery. If it's good enough for MIT, then it's good enough for airsoft. (taken from the attached file) summary_battery_specifications.pdf
  2. Wankers will be wankers WHATEVER gun you give them. End of. When the events mentioned in my post occurred the pump action gas breachers and tactical 870's were all the rage and people were happily pumping away like a hormonal teenager. When the AA12 turned up it was a new thing, it was hilarious and most importantly they were more money than most people wanted to splash on a shottie. They are an outlier in the world of airsoft dick moves because yes, you can massively overkill with it but it's also massive, plastic and expensive so not many people bothered. As for the 6 shot spread - that's kind of the point of a shotgun.
  3. That's the thing though isn't it. They took their time, designed a system that actually works and released it when they were ready. All the aftermarket "fixes" are to improve performance in countries OUTSIDE of Japan (other than the obvious cosmetic ones of course) because they work just fine for their market. All the while that airsofters are happy to buy endless iterations of an M4, they're happy to keep churning them out, and quite honestly - who can blame them?
  4. Back in the good old days of The Mall there was a couple of AA12s. I seem to recall the rule of three being enforced after someone had a particularly hilarious/savage round of spamming the fuck out of the 6 shot setting with a drum mag on.
  5. Winters in Japan get pretty cold so it's no surprise that the gas system that performs best in the lower temps was developed in (and for) Japan. Japanese industry is also very insular so they will prefer to manufacture for and with other Japanese companies.
  6. SCAR H mags are essentially a modified FAL mag so anyth9ing that fits those will work.
  7. They are probably labouring under the idea that the "waiver" they make people sign actually does anything to protect them.
  8. Google is your friend. https://www.accu.co.uk/cap-head-screws/3783-SSCF-M1-6-6-A2 (other heads/finishes are also available)
  9. I think the point that everyone is missing here is that the sling techniques that apply to firearms don't really apply to airsoft. Putting tension on the sling is usually to help with stability and recoil control. Airsoft guns really don't have that problem. Set up the sling however is comfortable for YOU. If you want more tension on it, have more tension on it. If you want room to maneuvre the gun about have less tension on it. If you want both, get an adjustable sling.
  10. That's as maybe but it isn't worth that much to an airsofter.
  11. That is now the official accepted term.
  12. I'd say at a guess they're in the US (that shopping list is in USD).
  13. For anyone that is not aware of the new standard there is a BSI white paper available here: https://www.bsigroup.com/globalassets/localfiles/en-gb/product-certification/ppe-eye-wear/en-iso-16321-white-paper-230720.pdf If you look at the physical requirements tests, while they say that the new 'C' impact rating is equivalent to the old EN166F rating, they actually use a bigger, heavier test weight now. The one thing that does confuse me a little though is the use case: Might make any insurance claims tricky if they fail in use, seeing as the standard only actually applies to eyewear for occupational or educational use.
  14. For me it's the cigars and cognac picture with a blatantly photoshopped-in bit of paper with his name and a date on it. Totes legit.
  15. Yeah...but @ak2m4 doesn't. Yet.
  16. I just buy a whole load of 0.1mm shims and then I know exactly what size they all are! Colour coded springs on the other hand...
  17. It's not just you! The Pentagon Kryptis might work for you https://www.pentagon-tactical.com/kryptis-balaklava not quite such a long neck but most of the ones that have that tend to be FR and that'll make you sweat like a paedo in Mothercare.
  18. You could also try swapping out the tappet plate spring for an upgraded one. Then you can use your midcaps fully loaded.
  19. We live in a world where people think that polishing the pins on the mains plug of their HiFi makes it sound better. Nothing surprises me any more.
