  1. Does it have the rattly flappy "recoil" thing? Other than that, the hop unit itself is pretty decent, Maple Leaf rubber and nub is always worth a punt. Barrel isn't awful but a ZCi tightbore won't cost loads so it's worth it. Motor is probably worth upgrading though.
  2. On the subject of the closing of UKMCPro, this is from one of the staff:
  3. I'd like an NGRS M14, preferably a full SEI Crazy Horse replica.
  4. https://bulkpyrosupplies.co.uk/product/eg18x-smoke-grenade/ I got mine from a buddy that works in the industry though.
  5. Vector Optics magnifier is very good for the money. Here's mine on my M4 with knock off Unity FTC mount:
  6. Pretty much, we let one off at Red Alert halfway through a game and the cloud was still lingering at the end. Fantastic kit. Big and heavy to lug about though.
  7. Yeah...but have you ever used an EG18-X? They're hilariously fantastic!
  8. 365 FPS? I take it you're locked to semi then? Check the barrel is properly in line in the hop unit (take it out and look down it - check the hop mound is actually central and not lopsided), make sure the barrel is, in fact, straight along its length as well (roll it on a flat surface and check it lays flat. Clean your barrel Use better ammo.
  9. Being the Shouty Sergeant ONLY works if you are leading by example, not just barking orders from the back. I've played with a group of friends I've made through airsoft that actually understand how to communicate and move as a cohesive unit and it makes SO much difference. It ends up being more fun purely through being effective in the game.
  10. Stupidly expensive bit of velcro and laminate to eliminate an essentially minor annoyance.
  11. How tall of a riser are you looking for?
  12. Have a look at the Unity Fusion mounts. Gives you more options for where the NGAL/torch mount and a smaller BUIS too.
  13. Like I say, your idea of crazy money isn't the same as others. I just paid out £70ish to have the right kind of KAC suppressor to go with my SR25k (for which I also spent £100 on a different stock). Point is, you pays your money and you takes your choice. The TM M9A1 is a very well performing piece of kit and will last, I guess you'd need to balance it with how often you actually need to run a tracer.
  14. I'm sure it's perfectly average sized.
  15. Our definition of crazy money is clearly different! The other thing to take into account is that if you're comparing the gas efficiency of your M9 to to that of a 1911 (complete with puny single stack mags) and it's coming off worse, then it sounds like you may just need to fix the one you have. Or just buy the TM one.
  16. Yes, more FPS should give you more range, but ultimately it's the quality of the barrel and hop unit/rubber combination that gives you the range and accuracy. There's no point having a gun that can reach 80m but can't reliably hit anything beyond 30m.
  17. Short answer: yes Long answer: also yes but with the caveat that different manufacturers are better than others. For example, I currently have a Tokyo Marui M9A1 which is one of their more recent designs with a larger blow back unit for more snappy pews. It works quite happily in cold weather and shoots quite nicely. I used to have the SOCOM Gear M9A1 which was all metal, with the lower rail and looked great, but leaked gas like a sieve and maybe got half a dozen rounds off before completely degassing IN THE SUMMER! In summary, get the TM M9A1 and enjoy pwning n00bs.
  18. Didn't realise you were in my neck of the woods!
