  1. Not yet, but having bought a spare box mag for my SAW I'm tempted to have a go!
  2. The sliding adjuster on a V3 hop unit is held in place by a small screw. Tighten the screw up a bit and job's a good 'un.
  3. Have you tried www.firesupport.co.uk? They have quite a few TM OEM parts. Also try ehobby Asia.
  4. Fair point about indoors actually, when some people have been at the Mall wearing UCP they have blended in quite well.
  5. If it will take genuine Respro filters, get some in it and use it for a pollution mask if you go cycling in town or whatever but at the end of the day it's a neoprene mask with holes cut in it. Neoprene masks do absolutely nothing to prevent your teeth getting shot out. What you could do is ditch the filter part and wear it under mesh lower face mask to make it more comfortable.
  6. Knock off of a respro mask. That won't protect you for toffee.
  7. That's not entirely true. You can just reinsert them into the mag pouches. Dump pouches are fine if you don't mine clattering about once you have a couple of empties in there.
  8. Yeah, but would have been the BEST GUN EVER!!!
  9. It actually looks like the Firefly logo! (the TV series not the hop up brand)
  10. The gun in question has a keymod rail and a silver outer barrel which would suggest aftermarket parts. There are some Dytac rifles that look similar, have a google for Dytac SMR or UXR range (Landwarrior have them).
  11. You'd be better off asking the guy that owns it, doesn't look very "off the shelf".
  12. Yeah.....that'll never work. The sling is too smooth and too stiff to hold a knot properly!
  13. Take the end of the sling in the second picture and wrap it around the buffer tube once then back through the triglide buckle. Tighten the buckle down so that it sits against the buffer tube and then pass the slack end back through the buckle to secure it.
  14. Yes, I used to use mine for an M4A1 (until I changed pretty much every part on the gun - still fits in the bag it's just not an M4A1 any more). It's long enough for an M249 Para with the stock stowed and also has an extending rifle barrel cover that comes out of the main compartment if you have any longer guns you need to carry (I use it when I'm carrying my M14 EBR for example). I've regularly used one to carry my SCAR-L, an M4, an AKS74U and a pistol all at the same time. Great bags (whichever one you buy).
  15. Without seeing it in the flesh it looks SO similar I'd be hard pushed to pick between the two. Cordura and polyester are so similar as to make very little difference in this application (bearing in mind that Cordura is just a brand name for a woven nylon material). Regardless. That style of bag would be good for the OP.
  16. That right there is a copy of the Viper multi gun bag. In fact I'd be VERY surprised if it isn't the exact same bag with a different label on it.
  17. I use a Viper multi gun bag. Works fine, can fit an M4 sized rifle plus an SMG and a pistol plus mags for all. Don't pay more than £50 for it though.
  18. To be fair you could probably extend the life of the uppers by using a standard waterproofing spray, any half decent shoe shop will have something but try Blacks or Millets and get the stuff sold for walking boots - just make sure you tell them the material (you don't want a wax product). You'll not get wet feet in the rain that way but you'll probably not want to be standing about in anything deeper than your soles. Partly because your feet will get wet but mostly because it'll start feeling like actually being in the army.
  19. You say that now.....
  20. Cordura is a type of nylon. Water won't rot it alone but as to whether or not your boots are waterproof or not - that's a whole different question. If they are the Viper "Tactical boots" like this: http://www.viperkit.co.uk/products/footwear/tactical-boots.aspx they have a "waterproof, breathable lining" If they are the Viper "Elite 5" boots like this: http://www.viperkit.co.uk/products/footwear/elite-5-boots-coyote.aspx they also boast a "hydroguard waterproof membrane" If they are the Viper "Special Ops" boots like this: http://www.viperkit.co.uk/products/footwear/special-ops-boots-multicam.aspx then don't go stepping in any deep puddles. Side zips make waterproofing the uppers a bit pointless.
  21. Pull back the charging handle (the T shaped bit at the back of the receiver - just below the rear sight). Look in the bit where spent shells would come out of the real gun (right hand side above the magazine well). You should see that a cover has pulled back and inside there should be a plastic wheel with little ribs on it. This is your hop adjuster. There may be an arrow on it that says "UP" next to it. Turning the wheel in the direction of the arrow will increase the effect of the hop unit. Start by turning it as far in the opposite direction as it will go. The BB won't go very far before dropping downwards. Turn the hop adjuster up and try again. You should start to see the BB go further before dropping. If you see the BB start to travel upwards then you have added too much hop and you need to back it off a little.
  22. ESS profile goggles ftw. Turbofan ones if you're a sweaty one...
  23. Condor kit is fine for the average airsofter. The butthurt in the US is mostly down to people wanting it for activities other than airsoft (survivalists and the like) when it does show its shortcomings compared to "real steel" kit. I have a Condor Battle Belt and it's been absolutely fine.
