  1. Unfortunately, airsoft is an inexact beast at the best of times. Throw into the mix a chrono that is very possibly not terribly accurate or consistent in and of itself and you're on a hiding to nothing. Having been down the rabbit hole of diminishing returns myself, unless you're going to spend the money on a proper calibrated unit like a Skan or something similar then as long as your flyers are within the limits when tested on the site chrono, I'd take the win and leave it at that.
  2. It's 190mm. @ak2m4 might be able to help you out with everything you need!
  3. Fires quite nice too! It'll be getting a run out at Red Alert this weekend so hopefully start picking up some "weathering" naturally!
  4. It was dry this weekend so the rattle cans came out!
  5. I've been building a Lone Survivor style RRV and it's currently nestled in an Eagle 152/MBITR pouch. Old school for the win!
  6. From the Surefire site: The caps are intended to block out low level continuous background noise. The design of the earplug itself is what reduces the impulse of things like loud bangs. I used to use a set in CQB before I started using comms so yeah, give them a go. EP4s would be better though.

  8. I have a pair of the helmet mounted ones and they work pretty well!
  9. If you don't need comms then have a look at the Howard Leight Impact Sport or Earmor as mentioned above. Second hand Peltors might be a shout but good, high quality ear protection can be pretty spendy!
  10. MMMMM....purple is my favourite flavour!
  11. Well, that's....a choice. Also - you don't need to start spamming new threads for the same pics you've already posted elsewhere.
  12. Because they're stupid? Don't assume that anyone that worked on your gun before you knew what they were doing!
  13. Dad's will has just paid out. This could be dangerous....

Good God, my Mum's estate took around 6-7 months to complete.

      Sorry for your loss anyway.

Yeah, we had a buyer then the house flooded and it took the better part of a year to put right (trust me, it was proper fucked).

Sorry to hear that. My dad went last February after his house flooded, and we've just this month got the final payment.  I've formed an active loathing for insurers, solicitors, HMRC, councils and utilities.

Anyway, I've just bought a couple of new toys, because we're none of us on a rehearsal.

  14. I was wondering the same, my MK12 is doing 420 FPS on a M120 spring! @MrTea just to go back to basics, I assume you've checked that you're actually getting good compression with all the new cylinder/piston parts?
  15. For the love of GOD don't start chasing FPS limits. Use it, see if it's actually lacking in range/accuracy first. As for your other question, yes absolutely if the window on your barrel is too small or if the rubber hasn't gone on properly then an MR hop will catch on the edges. SHS springs can be quite wide tolerance. Pick a spring brand you like and trust (*coughs* XT @ak2m4 *cough*) and stick with it.
  16. Maybe just hang a breezeblock off the front instead?
  17. I see this time and again. People start to give perfectly well meaning advice without actually understanding what's happening. Is the hop adjusted at all, what weight ammo is being used, what ACTUAL range are you getting and what do you think you want to actually achieve? New players often overestimate what they will get from their guns and underestimate the benefits of simple things (like barrel cleaning and hop adjustment. As for the accuracy question, as has been mentioned innumerable times before airsoft guns are smoothbore toy guns firing very light ammo with a crude method of imparting additional range (ie the hop unit). If you're expecting 100m range and pinpoint accuracy then you're likely to be disappointed.
  18. How much more range? What sort of range are you getting now?
  19. I ordered one of their piston heads when they were first advertised. Took a while if I remember correctly. That said, if it says "up to four weeks" then maybe "nearly 2 weeks" isn't actually long enough to wait yet?
  20. That explains that then.
