how are you planning to move your other stuff? ive had family move to canada used a mixture of ways for getting their stuff over. are you just suit casing it or shipping etc? may be worthwhile some parts and such(not sure what you are thinking but if you have expensive scopes for instance) being in cases and seeing what is worth breaking up and shipping dependant on exorbitant shipping costs(worth finding out limits and such as far in advance so you can narrow down what goes where. expensive stuff closest to you. i would suggest selling guns off there as afaik canada has higher limits for fps and we dont know where you are moving to to recommend sites to look into site limits that may affect it. we could check that but if you can get decent prices sure new gats... and matching site rules... possibly easier than paperwork... if your happy to say area may help a few of the London folk narrow down sites and help figure that out a bit. plus then research into stuff not as readily available here. am sure the other half wouldn't mind some stuff being shipped in advance too...

course you would hope that those offenders take that as a punishment that their expensive toy becomes an expensive decoration the likely hood that they sell it to some other sod who intended it as designed to discover they cannot use it is unfortunate. hope specific offenders are targeted before item bans happen but easier to blame the tool...

Countering bush wookies Like Kicking Mustang?
remus replied to AirsoftNewb's topic in General Discussion
watch a few wookie videos and youll quickly see they mostly target those not actively playing- ie standing still or going at a constant pace. on the parts where you are walking back towards play through 'safe' areas don't nessiarlily zigzag but dont remain consistent speed. make it harder to hit. when you become aware of being shot at by one keep moving, finding cover hand hiding is a snipers plan, then when you peak you are a sitting duck. keep moving, try to narrow down where they may be. don't worry about being it cause it happens and youll shout hit. communicate with team til that point and help each other narrow it down. note if someone is hit where could they not have been hit from... also note camo styles at the start of day. they may add but at least know the base they could use so may narrow down the cover they will use. alternatively ignore and work around and force them to boredom / moving... -
that or weigh a lot. light thin strong shields (ie tin) that has few drawbacks where as a good ballistic shield should weigh enough to be a drawback in itself. juggernaut without the drawbacks aint right...

been planning on making one for a while( iv made several fantasy shields) current plan is a to make it from recycled pallet wood and glue and staple together and bound with linen soaked in more glue and make to look like its made from a chopped up oil barrel, with a way to rod it up as well as carrying strap so can be tied on back etc. likely never use it even if taken out more something to look class in a post apoc game. ive heard various rules regarding them in games from only use if supplied by site for certain games. other times only for use with single handed weapons(ie pistols) or no full auto. potentially no using guns on the move. so in other words check with the site you intend to play at. from the few times' iv seen them in play many dont know how to use them. the best ive seen recently was a 3 man team using it to quickly push into objective. usually a solo person is ignored til someone can pop shots at feet or from the side. personally id go for the im a knob ill get at yas badmouthing to distract the enemy team to focusing on me so they ignore my teammates allowing them to sneek up unmolestedly... may need a second linen coat to protect from that fire...

depends on the intent of gangs, much as i doubt many british gangs will get their hands on such but they may end up thinking gun looks like a toy, get a kid to do a hit and run, gun looks like toy easier to get kid to do. gets a real looking gun after first hit... all depends on gang mentality. here the paramilitarys would do it themselves and want it to be a show of force so i doubt our glamourous fellows would want such... course how hard would it be to gut a nerf gun and put a generic firearm inside?

drat ha did have a quick scan before posting didnt think legal section lol.

check out block 19... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-57832053 like really America?

aye and a pistol isnt a dmr but by airsoft classifications it can be... as far as iv seen(here in ni we have a 1 joule flat rule so we dont get this benifit) but for mainland the dmr rules in play allowing higher fps but with minimum engagement distances do actually change things. rather than getting into details id rather ask ops intent/ thoughts. for all i know may be thinking true dmr but theres a wide variety of how the term is used in this case and could be used... nevermind a bolt action converted to be used with other methods of fire (polarstar as an eg) so is it just the dmr ability's you want? do you care for any firing type. any style of weapon youd like to have it built around? is an aug the sort of thing you'd be thinking? i do have an aug and whilst certain parts are harder to find the gearbox and disable is fairly simple. even removing automatic is really easy.

reliability is fine, issue if fpz being low and lack up upgrades to correct this due to small motorsize etc meaning slow shots. tbf i rarely use my pistol and more likely bring a spring shotty as a backup...
-
what are you thinking, bolt action or semi or gas? may want to narrow it down. there should be a few related threads in the more areas too
-
see thread 2 below ive considered it and wish it was workable comparison but i just cant get them to be worth it really. better off with gas pistol or go another route, like mp5 or shotgun as backup.

Hey it'll be gold dust in the apocalypse... want flavour to your gruel... trade bullets for it lol

Not familiar with that one can you attach a pic? Most masks iv had to do some form of work to get them truly comfortable. Mesh needs bent etc. Some need more... the current one I'm working on isn't airsoft so most everything needs replaced. But every heads different so likely does need work. I'd also say 54 likely would be average so small may be too small. Small may well be near kids sizing. But probably can be gotten around if you are unable to replace? Straps can be extended with velcro etc.

Slight progress. Little detailing and clearing of scraps in the back. Found an old lense that will hopefully work when I figure out how I'll be attaching it. Made eyeholes harder and reduced the blind spot. Will not be able to see my hands... considering a fake bone armour to match with this mask at some point. Have messed a bit with potential colours on m4 but needs more dirt and rust. When I get back to testing it will update...

Wonders how this relates to ni as we have no idea whether we are European British or any other combination anymore...

It was down as an event. Attaching a few screens from their page to let you see roughly what I had to go on

Plague doc was my first thought on seeing it. So great minds was thinking like a scifi version but now will likely go a bit more post apoc. Am also thinking of essentially a scratch built pipboy with a spare phone and add pics of the sites will be at for quick reference when planning missions on site...iv plenty of leather spare to try so why not.... Always the way. No plan ever survives contact with the enemy... most don't make it that far....
-
Be sure to show your progress! Slightly distracted today. Did a lil rust on my torch and decided after like 2 years to finally heat treat a mask I had bought to get it to sit nicer. Needs a lot of work yet as will be adding mesh lenses. Considering adding fan in the beak or even communication stuff... May add external greebles. Has to get dirt and maby rust and more other works on the paint too. Does give a fairly decent idea of what I'm thinking atm though. May combine with the equivalent of a captain America helm... open to ideas though.

May has problem. Tried armour on once I'd dried it (apparently too cold in my roofspace ) with my jacket and it's too tight... and iv lost weight... May need to cut a few seams or some such... or figure it without jacket... but that'll ruin the minuteman vibe... dratt

Work away by all means. Haven't quite figured that side of the forums and such but will have a looksey

Yup hodge pode... from my searches iv came sucrose a wide variety of such including oilman suppressors and aks built with a shovel stock... some even using the shovel as a bayonets... a few replacement bits made out of whatever you have to hand combined with not quite letting your weapon go but probably excessive wear and tear with lack of ability to upkeep for long term... paint being kept optimal isn't as important as keeping internals turning over...
-
Gun needs a bit of work. Have an idea I'm going to try on an old spare shorty...

So guess what I picked up cheap(£15) as it was white and am now in the process of painting and weathering. It's actually comming up decent even if iv done a few obvious mistakes. Undercoated grey. Attacked with a blade a bit but probably not enough. Sprayed silver and then before it set dusted with iron powder. When that dried dusted with salt and sprayed with vinegar. May Drybrook a bit more metal over and seal before another rust up... quite liking where the rust is going...
