JG bar 10 is a better option. TM VSR needs more parts replaced as they started crimping the cylinders,meaning you will also need a new cylinder and head in addition to the internals. The stock finish is rubberized with what feels like cheap car interior paint,as opposed to the matte finish on the TM but they both come off pretty easily and you will usually end up with the standard shiny abs after a few skirmishes anyway. Sniper rifles are only as good as you build them. No point in big and heavy replicas like the M200. The simpler the better IMO. Maruzen APS2/APS type 96 and VSR 10 clones are the best. Ares make pretty looking rifles but compatibility can be dodgy and their feeding mechanisms are on the shit side tbh. Fragile. You rely a lot of single,accurate shots so good feeding is necessary. They're also very expensive. Stick with a JG bar 10 or WELL L96 PDi,Action army,Laylax and AirsoftPro are generally the go to for parts. PDi make excellent barrels. Action army have a fantastic hop up chamber. Laylax are a bit behind them and on the pricey side but solid non the less. Note for PDi Parts you will need the 'bore up' pistons and spring guides as they make parts to their own spec. Their website is also hilariously outdated too and a bit hard to navigate. AirsoftPro make a lot of cheap bang for buck parts,as do action army. Honestly, if you get a cheap trigger and piston set from them you won't lose out to someone with a full PDi rifle. There are a ton of DIY mods you can do too if you want to stay on the cheap,like the TDC mod. If you have the money though deffo go for parts. Only thing i'd reccomend you DIY are barrel spacers since they're a rip off from the parts guys. Just roll some masking tape around your barrel to make cylindrical spacers.

I sometimes get this feeling if it's a really slow day or if a sim/game gets bogged down. I find Colonel Kurtz suggestion kind of helps. Go down only to thin clothing layers,be extremely aggressive (play style wise) and go bare bones with the gun. Stuck on some tie wrap on my VSR to make some bodged 'sights' (actually worked decently at 30m lol) and just ran around diving up and down in mud and wet leaves in nothing but a T-shirt. Amazed I didn't get pneumonia or something. Added bonus is I thought I looked like a bit of a twat so I started exercising more. I'd suggest taking a break and clearing airsoft from the mind. I find from even half month long breaks I start thinking of action I've had in the past, and a little thought of ''I want to try that again'' or ''I want to try x'' pops in. German paras are excellent boots,but after some digging on Militarist.ua and popgun.ru when I was buying a pair i was scared off the Model 2000 ones. Thing is,they have a large weakness in the rear heel. The soft foam like rubber that the tread is glued onto isn't very up to standard. The model 2000s are more of a gamble on quality. Of course,one could get lucky and a pair could have better molded soles but they would not be as durable as the newer ones. The new Kampfstiefel 2007 (often called 'DMS') are much more durable. Couple of guys I used to play airsoft with in Ukraine are deployed and they're survived an entire year of their experience in Ukraine's rather harsh weather,soles worn down but no adhesive problems and the leather,despite being raggy still holding strong. Most you will find are made in Poland (Mine are,Code 3252),Slovakia,and Czech company Prabos(6414) who still have production runs of these for the Latvian and Khazakhstan army. Finding Haix made ones is a good bit harder since they had a smaller run.there are other manufacturers for these,but the first two are the most common.Quality will differ less due to more stringent demand from the BW but some will have different dynamics,I think the 3252 ones sit lower on the leg and have different(Some say superior) Dynamics of the Achilles heel area,but not all feet are the same! Buying from Germany is a good option,Bundeswehrundmehr.de have good prices and shipping will be about 15 quid,You can get good condition 2007 models for the same price as the 2000 models. Do note! Playing with the arm again. Pics are just after the epoxy curing,hard as a rock. I've now sanded & filed the material on top to form a parabolla shape,and the arm is in the gun. Might give it a lick of paint to make it look less dodgy. Testing it right now,perfect and straight flight for 45m,well,not really since it's windy af outside but despite the curving it's hitting the same spot over and over. Noticeable improvement in consistency. It does have the usual issue of jamming the BB if you give it too much hop but I think that's mainly because of the rubber being very soft. Bit of a pain to set hop properly due to wear on the adjuster,the clicks are less pronounced and there's much less resistance on the adjuster. Can't be arsed to do the TDC mod either.

I would be grand with a barrel like that in a Chinese AEG like CYMA or JG,where I usually give those a lot of DIY work like lapping and polishing. But In a 400 quid gun I expect at least a good quality barrel and components,I mean at the very bloody least remove the burrs from the bloody thing. Aren't these tippmanns toted as being made in the USA too? Not exactly a good image since the chinese basement shop that's churning out a lot of the 20$ stock barrels on the market is doing a better job.

I'm after coming back from a 36hr one so guess I'll chip in. It really depends on the site. My local site is 400 acres large and has multiple vehicles in play so it adds a lot to the experience. Everything is in play and an objective. Random team members selected as HVTs,vehicles can be stolen and driven by some players (Got a go myself),rolling objectives- Everything will flow on and change and affect the teams,sometimes an old objective might come back into play.For example we had to keep a town under control,which fell back and forth between sides,robbing jeeps to restrict freedom of movement,capturing checkpoints and MASH tents,capturing ammo supplies,capturing Replica RPGs which can be used to destroy vehicles which removes them from the game for a set amount of time and 'repairs' them at their home base,etc... We also had civvies in play who were in the know regarding who's doing what and going where,you could buy info off them with money which can be earned through various objectives. There was also a drug smuggling thing going on which was quite new,never tried to set up a fake deal by having lads pretend to be civvies and then busting it in an airsoft game of all things. I think we did plug a plan to distract us at our home base allowing the insurgent team to lace our HQ with IEDs. Of course, big key is organisation into squads,with proper command and communication,communication being a massive factor.

I have not been active for some time so I may have missed a thread but have you tried delving in to the gearbox and checking compression issue or disabling blowback? R-hop can be picky to work with since you need to do a lot of modding on the patches,Z-kit make it a bit easier. I hear from some people that an M-nub is also a required mod but I assume you have that already. Anyway,It would be nice to hear a detailed report back since I hear nothing but good things about R-hop on american forums i used to frequent,and I kind of began to think it was snake oil. I still need to experiment with G-hop myself but right now I have the VSR shooting way to good with the Pdi w hold and do not want to mess anything up.

A lot of people are fooled by a placebo effect of mods and optical illusions. It may look like a shot is flying out all the way to 70m but when you look very carefully you can see most shots drop at the 50m mark. Ed explained this fairly well in a vid where it looks like he scored a 60m+ shot but in reality it was about 30. I'll need to fish that vid out. edit: I think this is it:

Accuracy upgrades and range upgrades go hand in hand. Honestly you can get away with using a good bucking a good hop up set up and have good results,R-hop depends a lot on the quality of the install and performance varies with the contact patch material. G-hop is the earlier concept,It uses a cut up Hop up rubber instead of a different material as a contact patch. Easier to do well IMO since you don't need to shave down and adjust it like the R-Hop patch.

Usually your hop up bucking has a small internal nub that presses down on the BB to create a brake so it spins as it's propelled. R-Hop,Instead of using the traditional hop up rubber with internal nub, uses a segment of silicone (or some other rubber tubing) that covers the hop up window,pressure is then applied more evenly and for a longer duration to create more spin. FSB Alfa and GRU guys are using glocks now too,so maybe no need to rush out about that... KWC makarov is a good option for a secondary but it needs an FPS downgrade,you can either shim the mag gas valved to reduce travel or use those refillable Co2 Bulbs. Wingun also make a Stechkin APS but it's wingun so quality and performance is on the -eh- side,though I must say they look very pretty.
