  1. You could take a leaf out of WarZ and develop a 'Disco Ball' device- in the book these were plastic spheres with LEDs of all colours embedded in it, which would distract zombies in the book. It might be a bit of an effort, but if you wanted to complicate it further you could set up a radio receiver in it which would turn the LEDs on or off when a specific frequency is broadcasted by a radio. You could also put a small buzzer in the device which would work for the sound element of distraction.

The temptation but I'd have to remove the grip o.o my want is too damn high

  3. There's the Aimpoint Magnifiers for that. They work in conjunction with a red dot or holographic and can flip to the side when not in use.
  4. Good call on the Begadi. They make some very nice gear for the price.
  5. Nope. Avoid anything under £120 at all costs. G&G make a line of M4 style rifles called Combat Machine, made of high quality tough plastic. They look pretty good and perform well. However, your best bet is to go to a skirmish and rent guns to try the hobby out and see if you like it. If you're over 18, pursue a site membership or a UKARA defence so you don't have to have your first gun sprayed bright orange/red/green/whatever. If you aren't over 18 you'll have to get a parent/carer who is over 18 to buy a coloured gun for you, and then you can remove the paint/paint over it with black once you are a regular site attender (more than 3 games in no less than 2 months is the criteria for getting onto the UKARA database, and just generally turning up more than twice and getting to know people works as being regular) It's not illegal to own a black gun (Realistic Imitation Firearm) but it is illegal for a retailer to sell you one if you're under 18 (for any airsoft gun) or do not have a UKARA defence/site membership.

    Disaster!!

That sounds like it'd be great fun- I think there are plenty of us down south who could do it

    Disaster!!

Bad luck, Sam- hopefully you can take this opportunity to make any improvements on the site if they're needed
  11. Anyone at the Longmoor FIBUA night game on the 26th?

  12. Depends on your preferences. Have a go with a Glock and an M9, and whatever feels best to you is the right weapon for you. I wouldn't buy KJW though, WE Gen 3 & 4 Glocks are some of the best along with TM, and TM are good for M9s too.
  13. I think he has a Centofante 3- I always find the handle uncomfortable when I use it, it's worse for me than my Gerber STL 2.5 and much worse than my Mora. I'm sure some find them more comfy though
  14. Componentshop in Wales will do custom battery shapes too, and they'll sort connectors out for you. I've seen small LiPos sold there for £7 a piece
  15. Marui M870 Breacher; worth it?

Ok then, will buy one on Monday when my M700's buyer turns up :)

It's a cracking gun, basically no trigger pull at all. Really sturdy but slight wobble on the foregrip if you try and twist it. I was shocked how effective it was in CQB vs using a pistol. Length wise it's from my shoulder to my fingertips which is spot on.

  16. Nice knives.....I love the look of Spyderco knives but I never got on with using my Dad's. I keep a Mora 860MG sheath knife and a Gerber pocket folder.
  17. +1 for any Tactical Tailor kit. Love their stuff, just wish I could buy more of it!
  18. NBBs are the obvious ones. My M700 was extremely silent when it had the suppressor attached, when you fired all you could hear was the striker plate hitting the gas release valve on the mag.
  19. Thinking of selling my M700. I just don't have the time to work on it anymore

£325 ish including the tightbore when I've machined it to fit. I'm more interested in swaps though

  20. Well, you don't have to pay £35 for 2000 paintballs every skirmish if you airsoft
  21. The only way I see it happening would be if you implemented a sealed cylinder into the stock with a spring buffered weight on it that could be forced back by a gas flow from the magazine. That might create efficiency issues though.
  22. Recoil weapons are AEGs. An AEG Enfield wouldn't really be worth it as it couldn't be bolt action- GBB would be very difficult to do as GBB weapons are based off weapons which are capable of semi/full auto fire in real life, which have moving bolt carriers like the real thing which simulate the recoil
  23. I Used an MP5 for woodland. 0 problems. In fact it did better than some other guns.
