Not saying the individual Russian airsoft store should be the one at loss from all this, but its all these little losses that may add upto a change for the better.

there's a difference between doing things that are required for day to day life, like driving to work, cooking, and keeping yourself warm and spending money on frivolous luxuries that you can absolutely go without.
 
we should be incredibly grateful that the cost of this war for us in the uk is being charged in pounds sterling and not blood.
 
 
individually maybe not, the point is when done collectively all the little slices of fuck all add up to make something of substance.
 
every Russian factory/shop that shuts down due to lack of sales is a crowd of disgruntled workers who won't be fans of how Putin's government has messed up their lives.

Interesting research but the sample size is too small to be useful given the range of motors available.

Hard agree with the posters above. I'll not purchase anything from Russia or Belorussia now, most likely forever.
 
As someone who mostly does Soviet WW2 airsoft, that does make getting good kit difficult as the main suppliers are either in Russia, Belorussia or Ukraine. 
 
But WW2 airsoft is a nicety that my friends and family who live under the Russian bombardments wish they could go back to. War is much nicer with toy guns.

If a percentage of the money you pay for goods will be used for putins war i think you need to have a quiet word with your self. 
 
I would not advise you purchase anything from Russia purely based on common sense.

at the risk of opening a can of worms I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be continuing to buy stuff from Russia given current events.
 
I might like their kit on a technical level, but I don't want any part in supporting the present actions of their government, no matter how indirectly.

You will get a variety of answers to this question.  I would still go with the traditional G&G Combat Machine Raider.  They are solid out of the box and easily upgradeable.

Start by sticking in a ZCI 6.02mm barrel and a yellow Maple Leaf Macaron rubber with AK2M4's red Omega nub for your first upgrade.  Maybe add a ZCI plastic rotary hop unit as well.

The lad and I toddled off to Tower Airsoft and had another good day there.  As a site, it is nothing fancy, being a smallish site with a village, a bridge, a castle and a church among the trees.
 
However, it seems to attract a good group of players (about 40 today), is well organised and really well marshalled by the Camo team, and has a great safe zone.
 
The games were simple but engaging and I did rather enjoy taking out the same ghillie suited sniper three times over the day; the little LR300 has a surprisingly long range.
 
We will be off to another site next weekend, before the lad returns to university for his exams and some OTC activities.

That's exactly why I never did it.  However I get asked a lot of questions "what is the best combination of motor and gears" etc.  Of course no right or wrong answer.

Just don't try it; you clearly don't have a clue and will probably end up in hospital.

It is a total mess for DMR's though. Honestly the reason I'm looking into HPA, so I can adjust to DMR limits or run at 1.1j depending on the site.

I am the kind of person that heavily researches something before actively joining "the community" so I know all about the importance of good equipment! I also watch a lot of airsoft related content on YT so have a little exposure to what was needed before going to the shop and picking out my beginner gear
 
Picked up some good sturdy boots with good ankle support and some bolle x1000 goggles that I got a good deal on. Also got a full multicam set up purely because I like the look of that camo (despite likely not being ideal for UK sites) so from the gear perspective I think I have all I need for now (although I can already tell this hobby will likely be a money pit for me in the not too distant future) 😅😂

Wear good boots and eyepro that you trust, take your hits, talk to other players in the safe zone and, most of all, enjoy yourself!

Free advice; it is worth what it cost you.

If you really are certain that everything in the gearbox is ok, then it would seem that you have a truly massive air leak between the nozzle and the hop rubber; you can check this in two ways:

1. After checking there are no BBs in the hop, turn the gun upside down and place a small piece of paper covering the open end of the feed tube; if the piece of paper flips up or levitates, you have found the leak.  It could be that the wrong nozzle has been fitted, that the nozzle is worn or that the hop rubber feed lips are damaged.  It could also be that the nozzle is not coming forward fully, which would be a gearbox issue.

2. With the nozzle, shine a light up the feed tube and take a look down the barrel; if you can see light, see above.

If the stock hop unit is the rotary one, I would not change it; it is rather good.  However, consider fitting a Maple Leaf Macaron rubber and one of AK2M4's 70 shore Omega nubs.

For the barrel, I would recommend one of the ZCI ones; once again, AK2M4 sells them.

If you haven't already done so, fit a good quality high torque motor.
