  1. It counts as two things: 1. You bring items through customs as your own, with your name on parcel to your address 2. you sell those parts to him in the UK. If he chooses to manufacture a RIF he does so on his own back, you do not commit an offence, he does (admittedly an unenforceable, victimless offence)
  2. Note for those who have same issue in the future/want to not suffer this issue: Take the pistol grip/stock off. Carefully (but forcefully) bend the receiver casing out of the way and slide it back and up to remove it. On the Right hand side of the receiver is the 'cock-block' and spring, remove them. *they are the only removable components at this stage* Put the receiver shell back on, front end first and push it down at the back - this is a little more fiddly, but I've got the whole process start to finish down to under 2 minutes Reattach the stock
  3. Because for some people adequacy is not enough. I've got 2/3 rifles worth systema money, that perform well without the foibles that come with the PTWs, but the urge is still there to get one. Name is some of it, but the tolerances and materials are second to none.
  4. It's a fairly common fault on V2 gearboxes. Just check the top of your trigger and back of the switch for wear
  5. How many shots do you get out of a tank, what range/accuracy are you getting. How consistent is the power, shot to shot? how loud is it when supressed?
  6. You WILL need a LiPo specific charger anything else is likely/guaranteed to write off either the battery or the battery, patch of carpet underneath and any nearby objects.
  7. Welcome to the forums, and you don't have to sit back and relax. Get involved! if you don't understand something, ask the question. We're all laid back here and I can't think we're going to flip our shit if you ask something that has been answered before (although, PLEEEEEEEEEEASE read the stickies!)
  8. I usually end up with the stock nub in as the ones supplied are very hard and usually over-hop with 0 hop applied Don't hydrate the O-ring, just get a new one for a quid or so, worth replacing every time you open the gearbox really.
  9. Don't worry about it. If paint is there, the rozzers will not care. Other airsofters won't notice and it's obvious what has happened. AFAIK no one has yet been prosecuted (players, certainly not) for any part of the VCRA relating to airsoft
  10. Madbull M100, gives 330 or thereabout consistently Madbull Blue rubbers work well in everything I've tried them in and aren't horrifically overpriced, they're a bit chunkier than TM standards (the other good but cheap option) and tend to give a better airseal yes, always upgrade barrels. Those and the hop are the only thing that effects where the BB goes, doesn't matter about tightness, just get quality (again, I'm going to sound Like I bum of Madbull, but I've always had good results) It depends on your compression. A Piston head O ring solves the problem 9 times out of 10 without any further work and they cost next to nothing.
  11. It is quite literally my professional job. So at least I'm doing something right! No noise from an AEG is almost always a loose connector (especially an intermittent lack of noise) and is ALWAYS better than a grindy noise!
  12. Check the motor connectors are on properly. Are you handy with tools? it's going to most likely be a connector issue, rather than a 'box issue. Check the wires aren't stripped anywhere and shorting
  13. UTJ like nightwish? Good to see it's not all dross in this thread these days! Epica's new album is out shortly, hence this:
  14. YES IT IS SQUEAKY. wait, cruise control was on. yes, it's squeaky. Try adjust the motor height a touch and see if that makes a difference. Failing that it could be your shimming a little tight OR and from the ones I've seen, this is it: G&G motors in the combat machines are naturally quite squeaky. Sometimes everything can be perfect but the motor just shrieks like a banshee
  15. It's not really that grey an area. You have a defence if you can fulfill BOTH of these criteria: 1. Over 18 (applies to purchase of, as far as we can tell under 18s can manufacture, provided they fulfill the rest of the requirements) 2. Play at a site with at least 3rd party public liability insurance. 3. You can prove beyond reasonable doubt that you play at said site regularly. This is best done with online bookings, photos of you at the events etc. For a forum sale try to get their UKARA number and phone a shop to check it. It's a 30 second job and makes sure that you are on the safe side of things. If you can't find anyone that will do it phone Patrol Base and we will check for you. If they can prove they are over 18, then photos of them at an event, or calling their site manager should be fine. Firearms Certificates (again, not a license) Shotgun certificates or being in the Military/Police etc are NOT defenses for purchasing RIFs
  16. It's the 'gas regulator' for regulating the gas flow on the real steel. it's cosmetic on the airsoft version. it does not, as far as I can ascertain from a quick google search, hold anything on. There would be a more serious problem or a missing grub screw most likely at cause. Try and find a manual for the rifle, it may shed some light on what the actual problem is, or take some photos and upload them. Someone with an AUG may be able to help.
  17. No restrictions on the ownership of Realistic Imitation Firearms whether bought pre-2007 or now owned having previously had a defence. Basically, as per usual, what Ian said.
  18. Maybe normal on an MP5, but what abuot an MC51? looks fine to me, wouldn't bother with the grip. No one is going to pull you up on that. As mentioned above, book a game and print out the confirmation just to be safe. Plus, then you have a game booked!
  19. VSR is a TM Bolt action rifle. Mines had all sorts put in it upgrade wise and now shoots the 'nads off flys. I tried swapping the suppressors over (tm on asg, asg on tm) and it only worked one way round (IIRC it was TM suppressor on asg pistol) There is no benefit to putting the ASG suppressor on the TM. With the barrel in it shoots too hot, with the barrel removed the TM suppressor is quieter (and sexier) With any luck, I'll get some pics of my new suppressor up this week to show y'all what a REAL mans suppressor looks like.
  20. I own a TM one. Allow me to go off on one here: It's big. Really big. Pistol's quite large too (ba-dum-tiss). Only realy way to holster it is with a Viper belt mounted adjustable holster. it's as big as a desert eagle. If you have small hands, forget it. If you want a pistol that is 'fast' forget it. If you want to be able to transition to it quickly, forget it. (Admittedly I do alright with mine, but I've used it almost every skirmish for the last 3 and a half years, often as a primary.) If you have the suppressor attached whilst it's in the holster (and you'll want to) your draw length is from grabbing the pistol at your hip, the pistol isn't free and usable until you have lifted the pistol grip up to your armpit. Don't think you can get around this with a leg holster, then you'll never be able to kneel down again. There are a lot of negatives with this pistol. BUT. Jesus christ. If you want a pistol that you can rely on, buy one. and only one. You will only ever need one. This has to be the most robust anything ever. Mine had taken a beating over the years. Then I dropped it. Fell out of my holster. Lost. Gone. My favourite RIF lost. not to mention it was £200 worth of pistol. This happened in November 2012. Every game I played I looked around for it. Then. Mid August. Peeking out from under some leaves. NO. FREAKING. WAY. 9 bastard months. The coldest winter for years, plus all the usual yorkshire countryside weather. Plus the heat from summer. My MK23 had been out in it all. I would guess temperatures ranged from -5 to about 20 degrees over those months. I picked it up. looked over it and pulled the trigger. 'thumf'. sheeeiiiiiiit It still worked. Hadn't let out ANY guess. Aimed at a target 'thumf' again, straight as a die. better check it over before I do any damage to it. Popped the mag out, took out the takedown lever and slid the slide off. yup, frame looks fine. Check the upper. a slug, A mother fucking slug. right in the mechanism. and it wouldn't let me down. The pistol is awesome. It outranges most peoples AEGs all day erryday. It cannot be heard outside of 10m and is impossible to locate the exact direction of the shooting within hearing range. It's had more kills on its own that the entire rest of my arsenal, I'm convinced of it. Some days I'll take out £800 worth up Laylaxed up VSR and do better with the MK23. If I'm unsure about what to take to a game, I know I'll still have a good time if the MK23 is coming with me. oh, and just for balance, I DO also have the ASG one (same as KJ etcetcetc) and it's wank. Just utter crap. Yeah, I know what other people say about theirs, so maybe that shows how highly I hold this pistol. (and how terrified other players at my site are of it) and to clear up some misinformation in this thread so far: the TM MK23 and mags DO take Greengas, it will also take duster, 134a, 144a, red gas AND Guarder Black gas. I would imagine it handles propane fine, but I am NEVER putting that stink through my lovely pistol. Special forces don't use it 'a lot' it is too big and too heavy for a sidearm. and to agree with some other sentiments from the thread: If you use one, you cannot be cooler. They are stupid accurate. They are THE BEST sniper sidearm They are THE BEST woodland sidearm, regardless of playstyle They are (playstyle/game dependednt) one of the best CQB sidearms. 21. Was about to comment here having done a successful job with one of these today. Then I realised it was yours that I did. Glad it's working much better now!
  22. Is the clamp a permanent addition? I'm liking that, I may have to nick the idea
