Why would you want a yucky SUSAT though? The LDS looks so much nicer.

Best weapons for Wet/Cold weather?
proffrink replied to Raggedy_man's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
GBBRs Cold: Not unless you're using a high powered gas like Guarder High Power or Nuprol 3-4 (though through my testing Guarder is slightly superior). Wet: Fine. Gas system - all parts will be metal or plastic and there shouldn't be any electronics. You'd want to dry and relube when you get home though. GBB pistols Cold: I'd say fine most of the time in the UK, but some higher strength gas wouldn't go amiss. Wet: Fine, but many use cheaper internals that may rust quicker if you don't dry and relube them when you get home. HPA Cold: Fine (air does not change density easily with varying temperatures). Wet: Depends. Polarstar, SMP etc. do have electronics and need proper sealing. Pnumatic systems like Daytona Guns are inherently waterproof what with just being a huge lump of metal. Spring Cold: Fine. Wet: Depends. Rifle stocks like to fill with water, but rain will be fine. Just don't dump it in a puddle. AEGs Cold: Fine. Wet: Mostly not fine - particularly cheaper ones with poor fit and finish externally can let water in during heavy rain, but mid-range stuff will be fine. Also there are ways of waterproofing (see Systema mods etc.). -
Flyye and TMC (mostly) make very decent quality repros of a lot of gear with good quality nylon and stitching. Lots of sites in asia sell them, as do lots of wholesalers on Aliexpress and DHGate - I'd recommend Shooter Combat Gear as a foreign retailer. As Kinnerley says though: What sorts of things are you looking for? Clothing is everywhere.

A potato quality picture of my DG M249 - finally finished.

I've never really seen these amplifiers working all that well when I've played. How noticeable is the difference?
-
They don't really work that much, but it's simply through the way the air moves over it as it leaves the barrel. Madbull are the only people that make them if I recall correctly - Element do one that looks the same and weighs a ton, but I don't think it's intended as an amplifier.

Pull the pin then sit on it. Report back with findings.

I've seen a few custom made CF cocking handles/levers on sniper rifles but that's about it. Higher-grade aluminium seems to do the job of lightweight and strong in airsoft quite well. I'd think there's a small market for some very specific parts. I know there are a couple of things I'd like lightening on my GBBRs, but whether or not it's economical I don't know.

This is a really old thread Berto, but I think we gave him the wrong advice anyway as it sounds like a TM Glock. Plastic slide? Likely TM. KWA glocks have the engravings highlighted in white - is this the case with yours?

I couldn't agree more. It's a job that needs to be taken seriously, but some take it a little too seriously and that's when things get really bad. I'd rather have stand off-ish marshals than ones that try to pick up on every detail and constantly micromanage the games.

'Mystery boxes' as a concept are never worth it. It's just simple end of line stock clearance the majority of the time. Save your money and buy what you really want.

Like Monty says: No need to worry - just tell them it's a toy and they'll be on their way. The worst that can happen is they get a firearms officer to confirm it's a toy.

HPA rifle hate? I guarantee it’s not why you think
proffrink replied to Qlimax's topic in High Pressure Air
I own some HPA stuff now, but I must say the level of dickishness amongst HPA owners seems to be notably higher than your average player. I realise a lot of them tend to be the older players who've been playing for years and this may be why they notice the bad stuff more easily, but they do complain a lot on sites about people not taking their hits I feel. Also, 35rps+ is always going to make one a target for criticism. One needs to be aware that they're going to be scrutinised a lot more when playing and just be extra sure not to be a knob. HPA is brilliant, but some of the people who use it aren't so much. -
Damn. What did you order?
-
Oh wow. I literally spend a few hours looking a couple of months back - messaging retailers and the works. Good find - I'm buying some today. Must be recent because I've just seen them on Patrol Base too, and I certainly checked there when I checked everywhere else: http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft/we-europe-nuprol-0-30g-diamond-tracer-6mm-bb-x-3000-light-green.htm#.Vb70EPWD7-U http://www.airsoftshop.be/en/search/green+devil/ is where I got my Green Devils from. Shipping is a flat rate of £10. I bought quite a lot at once back then.
-
Green Devils are good. I last bought some non-tracer years ago but I'll try to dig up the site. You can't get them (any tracer above .25 that is) - I've looked everywhere. I even asked some manufacturers and either they didn't reply or said they had no plans to make any. There's a company on Alibaba that will sell them to you by the ton, but they wouldn't let me buy 'a sample'.
-
Wouldn't even bother - just look through the pages. Most people who claim their anything is a DMR have just slapped a £30 scope on a stock AEG and massively overvalue them. Internal wise, you probably are looking for a high torque motor to be one of the key components, so you could search for that.

They have CNC slide ones and ones that aren't, then there's the first run that was terrible and - as you say - different trades depending on where you are geographically; their consistency ended up a real mess, but some of the good ones are damn near perfect like you say. Especially where the front of the slide meets the frame - really well done job. Took me a bunch of shimming to get it right on my TM. Unfortunately it seems that in the UK most of them are the ones with the terrible Stark trades and the slides don't look like they fit all that well.
-
They don't work amazingly well - I've owned one. I bought a huge pack of hand warmers and just put one of those in for the morning and one in the afternoon - they last about 4-5 hours each. The reusable ones only last about 2 hours and are naff.
-
Or the high cycle TM P90.

Return it to onlybbguns.co.uk for a refund. It's not worth voiding any warranty for the sake of a quick fix. How long exactly have you had it? You will still be covered under PayPal buyer protection if you paid with that.
-
Hm. Did you get the extended patches by any chance, or just the black standard ones? Also, what nub are you using? The HSA one?
-
It's possible, but do be sure as you should be able to get a flat trajectory out of a .25 if it's turns on a very, very small amount. Looks like it might be .28s or .30s from here on in though, eh!
