  1. I know this is a hefty bump, but I thought it'd better be in the right place: I bought some of those Nuprol .30 tracers and they work great. I know there's been some discussion about some batches being crap so obviously the usual caution to give them a quick vision inspection before cracking the bottle open, but the bottles I've bought seem to be fine and function well. I crushed one and found it to be satisfactory - some air pockets but nothing more than expected from mid-range BBs. Given that they're the only people making tracers above .25g I'm happy to go with it. Also, regarding the Green Devils: I spoke directly with Graham as the site is currently down and bought them through him. Just drop him an e-mail - it was completely painless. http://greendevilbb.com/
  2. Let us know what you go with. I'd be nice if Guarder made a .43 in a lighter colour too as black is obviously naff for hop adjustment.
  3. What weight BB do you guys use out of curiosity? I'm using the Guarder black .43s but they seem to go out of stock quite a bit.
  4. Noice. We're posting specs too? I should edit.
  5. Boring L96 that I've had for far too long. Can be fun but it's pretty outmatched by longer barrel VSRs. Edit: 350mm (roughly, I don't remember exactly) PDI 9.01 PDI hop up unit with R-Hop Airsoft Pro trigger, cylinder, guide rod and piston PDI 180 spring that puts out 445 with .2s but I've got a 210 and a 220 that will take it up to as far as 560 with a bitch of a bolt cycle PDI duralumin shortened fluted barrel and suppressor adaptor Some Laylax bits here and there like end-screw, cheek screws etc. Scope is a Visionking 3-9 x 42
  6. I think it's pretty disgusting for any company to ask you to work on a Sunday unless they're paying you a significant amount more to give up your time. It takes people away from their families, friends and hobbies - frankly, what's the point in living if you don't even get those two days off. Really, if they're making you work weekends with no additional pay then I'd say tell them to roll it up very tightly and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.
  7. They're very good externally the G&Ps, and the internals are alright but get it as a long-term upgrade project. basically, go for the one you like the look of most, because you should be stripping out the internals at some point.
  8. I keep a special bag of Bulldog 0.12s for just such occasions.
  9. Really? That's a good deal. What tank and regulator?
  10. Good reviews, but I don't think that price includes a regulator or tank. I've not used them myself - I've used Beesting and they were very good. I think Qlimax is in touch with one of the owners and I know they're quite active on Facebook. Edit: Yep, it doesn't include the reg or tank - just the kit, donor and fitting.
  11. AFAIK: Regulator and hose: >£80 Tank: >£40 SMP: £270 Donor gun: >£150 Where were you buying this from? That's fair enough. Not treating you any differently on the purchase because of your age alone, but these figures tend to creep up on people as they realise just what's involved in building one.
  12. So you're going to spend £500+ on a brightly coloured IF HPA setup?
  13. Yes, but that adult needs a valid defence to buy it. Is this your first airsoft gun?
  14. First off we need to remember that at your age you can't legally own an RIF (or any airsoft gun for that matter). I'm supposing this is going to be your first, so I'd caution that it's going to probably cost you in the region of £500+ if you include the gun, kit, tank, regulator and line. That all said, I've had a lot of fun with my M249 so far, but there are so many options out there for airsoft guns that turning down two decent RIFs in favour of one HPA setup seems a bit silly to me if it's your first. I certainly don't feel like I never want to go back to my GBBRs either - my feeling is HPA is just different, but not necessarily better. Airsoft has never been entirely about having the best and most consistent gun to me, and I think the problem for some HPA users is that they get tagged as 'play-to-win'-ers. A slim minority deserve that title. To address the bit about FPS: Yes, there's a stigma that comes with HPA setups. There are tournament locks out there that mean you can't change the FPS easily during a game and should people's minds at ease. I know the Redline Firebase has one built in, but they only cost a few quid for other regulators.
  15. Please also turn your magazines into bananas.
  16. Nothing from Impulse yet - been two days. How long do they typically take to reply to e-mails?
  17. Anything Visionking with a decent objective aperture size of 40 or more. A better field of view is going to help with that camera mod too.
  18. Wouldn't have gone for one without a stock but otherwise good call.
  19. If I owned that monstrosity then I would probably also forget how I came across it.
  20. I'm taking a look at my MAG one to see if I can find a way to mount an LED inside the part that attaches the mag to the magwell (rather than the box itself). I feel if I'm just shining light on the ones in the box then they're probably going to have a good amount of time to lose that extra florescence given to them before I manage to fire them. Also it means I won't have a string of glowing green beads hanging from the side of my gun during night games, but getting the battery in there may be a fair bit of work. Maybe a couple of AAAs.
  21. If it's a buffer type then it should be easy. Take the stock off (send us a picture and we'll tell you how) then use a screwdriver to unscrew the tube: It'll just come right off and you throw on the new sling mount. Again, if you could just send a quick picture then that would help immensely if you've changed the stock at all. You won't need to mess around with your gearbox or anything else so don't worry. It depends on where you're looking to mount this as to what's compatible, but I assume you're talking about what we were earlier in the thread - buffer tube/recoil spring housing sling mounts. The buffer tube (the tube that comes out of the main body (receiver) of your gun (and which the stock sits on) is fairly generic if it's G&G so getting something that fits won't be hard.
  22. Ok, cheers. I've sent them the same list I sent the rest - hopefully they can sort it out.
