  1. The VSR-10 (and clones) is basically the most upgraded sniper rifle along side the L96 APS-2 clones. Plenty of guides already out there that explain it way more in depth than we could in one thread.
  2. Fair enough. I can't count the number of times it's just been thrown against my door and left there (especially bad when I lived in a house and the packages were clearly visible to any passer-by), but if that's down to sellers skimping on paying the extra £1 then I can see why.
  3. You should never go with MyHermes because they'll happily leave it on a doorstep without a signature - not enough in PayPal's book for proof of delivery AFAIK.
  4. Should also be said that Evike charge an utterly extortionate amount of money for shipping - check that out first, because I can only think you're looking to the US for a cheaper price than you'd find here. If you want the best prices, go east - not west. I was under the impression UKARA was the only thing they accepted going from other threads on other forums. Glad to hear this isn't the case and they're getting the law right themselves.
  5. If you're at a game and apply the tape then that's your defence. In fact, if you've been to even one game that's kind of a defence but you need to prove you're a skirmisher. The law is not clear at all on how regularly you must attend to be able to prove this, and there's no case law so you simply need to be careful. No one has been tried in this way so there's no precedent. In practical terms: Bring a roll of tape with you and apply it at the start of the day; remove it when you pack up to go home.
  6. Stop the scratch marks. Also if it does shatter it'll stay together.
  7. Search button! http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28392-aeg-or-gas/ http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28350-new-to-the-sport-gas-gun-advice-wanted/ To answer your question: GHK if you can afford it; the G5 appears to be basically the most reliable GBBR (a lot to do with their well revised magazine design) out there other than possibly something like the TM MP7 (though that's not a full length rifle, obviously). Tippmann (i.e. the M4) is pretty well reviewed too. In addition though it's worth saying that GBBRs are, as a rule, not as forgiving as AEGs for being unloved. Although arguably they're harder to break a lot of the time (what with being fully mechanical), there are lots of bad brands, magazines are expensive plus maintenance does need to be done fairly regularly to stop leaks. If you're looking for something easy, a GBBR might not be it but certainly the GHK and Tippmann stuff is pretty damn reliable right now compared to what was about 5 years ago. Also we're going into winter and GBBRs are pretty naff from November until February in my experience. Expensive, high-pressure gasses or HPA tapped magazines are a way around this, but that's another story.
  8. Yep, ordered a load of parts from them and DENTrinityShop. They're both legit, but postage can be steep.
  9. First thing I do with new goggles: Put some masking tape over one corner and shoot it once at point blank range. Puts my mind at ease.
  10. Didn't know they applied the pressurised gas bit to GBB stuff instead of just the magazines. That's bonkers.
  11. As far as I know, guns can actually be shipped by Royal Mail or ParcelForce (though uninsured with PF). You should declare what it is with Royal Mail - it's best to get the postage sorted online for this reason. Contrary to some beliefs, MyHermes won't ship guns at all and have been known to seize them. You will obviously get no money back with ParcelForce, so it may be best to go with Royal Mail (though if it's bulky and expensive you will end up paying a large premium). Beyond that, just make sure it's not 'gun shaped' in any way and you'll be fine. Kind of goes without saying, but always get signed for delivery. Compressed gas containers are a no-no though, so remove the base plates from your magazines. They've been cracking down lately.
  12. Correct. Also there's the issue of it not having a fixed antenna anyway.
  13. It can switch between 1W and 5W, but you're right - you need that licence going from what was said in the other thread.
  14. As a rule I wouldn't bother attaching images. Apart from anything it's ever so slightly detrimental to the site's health. Try using an image sharing site like imgur.com and post the direct link (or hit the image tag and paste the direct link in for it to embed into your post).
  15. Looking good. I even set mine up so the very top of the reg pokes out the top. Should stop any of the 'he's fiddling with the FPS!' stuff.
  16. Thank goodness. I know a fair few people buy them so they can use the bottle to conceal their own BBs, but that's a much better result. You can continue to post here
  17. Elite Force BBs are the worst from all the reviews I've read - are you being forced to use them at a site? I hear that's a thing too now on the west coast.
  18. It does take a whole 6 pack of loo roll, so you're looking at at least £3 material costs.
  19. Probably for your most hardcore milsimmer who need their Light Infantry Periscope stand-in.
  20. That's very nice of them. Good to see they monitor these places.
  21. Possibly the WAS one I linked you to before. My one is pretty good - plenty of pockets too for other stuff, but expensive for what it is. The one is extremely good for the price and having the option of molle or straps is good too.
  22. Don't upgrade WE M4s seems to be the consensus - they break a lot otherwise. Keep it stock and replace as required. It's not like WA where there's a plethora of different options and apparently the RA-Tech stuff is a bit naff for it.
  23. You're certainly right on that, but it's worth mentioning as obviously the performance of an NBB is always going to far exceed that of a GBB.
