Krytacs are probably regarded as being the better all-rounder right now. G&G make some decent low end and high-end stuff, but they are certainly better known for their entry level and mid-tier guns. I don't have the experience with one to comment on the BO Dynamics M4.

This reads like your average Daily Mail reader's Facebook comments.

Welcome back. Any bolt action, then a Mancraft SDiK. Will be cheaper and more consistent that tapping green gas mags.

I'm an I'm good with math

Isopropyl and kitchen towel (or a lint-free cloth). Also, there was a test on using silicone as well as isopropyl: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28054-cleaning-with-isopropyl-alcohol-vs-silicone/ - basically, alcohol to clean then silicone to make that surface resistant to anything that comes off the BBs.

It's a very good sound emitter, but it's still just a speaker, yeh. Anyhoo, at least someone in airsoft is still innovating. Perhaps a larger manufacturer will step in with something cheaper and offer some competition. New concepts are never a bad thing, even if it's this expensive to the consumer initially.

Bear in mind a decent number of players need to have one for the effect to be any good so yeh, no thanks. Also slap VAT and duty onto that price.

Zero One and their Consistently Dubious Business Pratices
proffrink replied to TheFull9's topic in Places to Buy
This is going to be a bit superficial, but I get a vibe off some sites that are simply in it for a quick buck and don't tend to know what they're on about - far too clean, too many rounded corners etc. It sounds strange, but places like Zero One never appeal to me for this reason and I'd far rather browse a slightly clunky site like Firesupport that doesn't always attempt to give you the hard-sell in the description of their products but instead treats you like an adult, or somewhere like Patrol Base were their range sometimes extends into things you don't often see elsewhere and are priced fairly. It's hard to explain, but I also get it from places like Evike where everything seems a little too much like it's a supermarket that's focused on price-points and working around cost margins and not enough like an actual hobby shop where they understand the importance of something a little unique and building a good stock list. I know I'll be in the minority, but I've never liked such sites. I guess I've just never found Zero One to be the cheapest option and their range is incredibly limited and generic in places. Again, I know it's weird but I did get that feeling from the very beginning in the same way that I do with some of the 'BB Guns' sites where everything is a little too same-y and clearly primarily for an audience that haven't been playing for long. Ultimately it's sad that they're being less-than-honest at times because they must know a lot of their customers are those starting out or haven't spent the time to see if the grass is greener, because I see them recommended an awful lot on Facebook despite rarely being the most affordable or having anything very out of the ordinary in stock. We're lucky in the UK that we have so many options frankly and I'd certainly encourage anyone that uses one retailer for 90% of their purchases (Zero One or otherwise) to make sure they're actually getting a decent deal on stuff they actually want. I'd be suspicious of any company still selling anything PTS Magpul these days given how rare the stuff is, but this absolutely takes the biscuit given the number of times they've been caught in the past. Nice share. -
Ordering direct from them is tricky as you need to put in a minimum purchase, but places like Impulse should still take single orders for replacements. Also Eagle6 and Firesupport do orders from TM, though they usually tack it onto a larger, infrequent order and so you may have to wait some months for it to arrive.

If it's new then speak to the shop and return it. If it's used then take it up with the seller and then PayPal. Don't go hunting down parts when you don't have to. Finding Well stuff in particular is pretty damn hard, but perhaps try searching for other clones or for the Tokyo Marui part (as these may be more well stocked). Here's a link to the TM manuals.

BBs tend to deform those quite quickly though.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Scrap the Hi-Capa and put that into an AEG! -
How long is a piece of string, heh? I mean if they've used tool strength thread-lock then 80 degrees should denature it, but if it's permanent stuff then you're looking at 300+. Heat it with a lighter maybe and just see if you can get it to budge when it's a bit too hot to touch, but don't go crazy. Expanding the outer metal should crack any thread-lock they've put on there anyway. Uncharted territory for me though as the Visionking ones don't use a sealant, but they're done on very tightly.

New arrival to UK looking at getting into Airsoft
proffrink replied to Infanteer's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Welcome. As Duck said: UK law can seem a bit silly at first when it comes to imitation firearms, but it's really quite simple once you've done about 30 mins of reading. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/forum/12-uk-law/ http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/12-vcra/ http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/1254-popular-ukara-questions/ -
Is this the short dot or another Visionking or something else? If it is Visionking then that outer ring is on right, but it's not glued or anything so a flat-head screwdriver and a little torque CCW will work just fine. If not, give it a bit of heat (but not too much as there's a flat seal behind the collar usually that could melt). Also, make sure when you put that insert in that the flat seal is enough to offset it from the objective. If it's not, replace with an o-ring so it's offset by just a hair. The last thing you want is the protective, sacrificial lens sitting up against the objective and transferring all of that energy straight onto it when it's shot. When you replace the collar I'd recommend a little lube or maybe some copper slip/grease so that it comes off more easily in the future as the threads are incredibly thin and can grind a little on most scopes.

US eBay maybe? They're pretty cheap on there (relatively speaking). -
Don't tight bore for accuracy with heavier weights.

Well chaps, if the new law covers the point of sale then under most circumstances they won't be able to make those old sales illegal and ask for our stuff back. Cleverly avoiding Ex post facto law is a pillar of modern legal systems but is also the reason why you can still buy 'pre-ban' automatic firearms in the US (if you have the money). Having said that, they could easily make gun ownership illegal in some other way by simply banning their transportation or use etc. If this comes into action and it covers the ownership (again, not the sale) then the UK (and the rest of Europe) would be looking at a huge amnesty that's bigger than anything that's ever been done before. We're talking far, far bigger than Australia or Britain's voluntary gun surrenders and that's going to cost an absolute sh*tload of money and oversight. They are going to need to be super committed to do this on such a scale. It's far more likely that - if this were to pass at all - that it would cover the sale of goods and not ownership. I guess what I'm saying is use all of your Christmas money to horde guns like an American hordes ammunition whenever someone shoots up a school.

He'll probably reply with: 'I'm your MP not your MEP', heh.

Torn bucking, cracked cylinder or just dry seals. How does it sound?

Yeh, that's what I was agreeing with - rod seems the best way like you said earlier. I should've quoted Ian really.

For my M249 I'll likely just be dumping 2000 normal and 500 tracers in there before giving it a good shake. Should work out fine! Problem with using two speedloadsers that I can see is it's incredibly hard to just eject a single BB without the one behind it rolling out onto the floor. Maybe hand load the single tracers and use the speedloader for the rest? I guess with a midcap that's pretty hard though as the tension increases.

If you put Nuprol ones next to Heroshark it's very clear that the Heroshark ones have larger openings and are less obstructive of your view - not sure if this is down to poor design on Nuprol's part or better materials in the Heroshark ones that mean the metal can be thinner, but either way Heroshark easily make the best ones out there.
