Letter writing can be a good method of communicating mate. Sounds bizarre but with subjects such as this it can be difficult to talk in person if you get choked up or if you're not good at talking on the spot. Open communications to your mum with a letter , let her know how you feel and that you don't want to upset her, explain the letters as a way of consolidating your points clearly and as an opportunity to fully take in an appreciate what the other person is saying without the pressure of a face to face conversation . Ask her to write one back in response. You don't even have to talk about the letters face to face, just designate a place like the kitchen table to leave them You may find it helps you know how to act around each other if you know what the other is thinking. I find them equally as much arseholes if I'm honest . They're a bit more understandable in the sense the majority of airsofters portray modern special forces and that's their modern enemy. As has been noted this would be more suitable at a ww2 event apart from the fact he's not portraying a combat look. He's portraying a death camp guard unit... It's also worth noting most of the jihadi load outs are found usually only at milsim a and are a bit of a "oh someone needs to be op for so ill stick on a funny hat . Cape and use an AK" rather than " I'm harbouring racist views or want to be offensive so I'll construct an accurate uniform which has no place on a battlefield anyway and say it's okay for me to wear it because airsoft"

But this load out has no place on a battlefield. It's not portraying the waffen SS who did the fighting. Even if it was , it's a dress uniform, not very practical for fighting in. The SS portrayed here were the ones responsible for the atrocities . And they were all die hard volunteer Nazis unlike the regular army who were conscripted. And the devil being in the detail , isn't that the deaths head insignia on his hat ? ( literally the unit responsible for death camps and the final solution shit?) In my opinion you're trying too hard to be an edgy cunt and push the limits of freedom of expression. I would rather airsoft not being associated with these kind of people - it's already embarrassing enough explaining what I do on weekends EDIT: googled the totenkopft insignia and it appears to be the 3rd SS panzer division so I was mistaken about the waffen SS bit. The unit portrayed still committed war crimes though, and it's still a dress uniform so I still think you're a bit of a prick EDIT 2 : more Google confirmed I was initially right, concentration camp guards, who also were use to form the 3rd SS panzer division . Grab a cheap digital camera off ebay or something mate. You can get quite small ones that would fit in a smock pocket. Not amazing quality mins you but good enough and not expensive to the point you'd have a melt down if it got broken lol

I wear a pair of the thick green army cotton socks over the top of a pair of m&s plain black socks. Never get any blisters and my feet are warm and comfortable all day.

Sounds like stuff I'd be interested in! I'm going to dip my toes in the water with some milsim here first then I think I might transition to these games . I haven't played a game in around 2 years now due to a hate of normal skirmishes and I've been building up a force recon impression whilst buying loads of weekender related stuff I wouldn't have factored in car hire, probably why I was so shocked by the price. I was thinking I could get a plane to the nearest airport then a taxi - I must have severely underestimated the distance! Sounds like a great thing to do when there is a team of you- something else I'll need to get myself You can't say you have an airsoft vehicle and not show us all pictures man, where's the justice ?!

Could you give a rough break down of costs ? I was considering it but at that price I'd think twice about it. No idea there were things like berget elsewhere in Europe though so that's good to know. Can you dig foxholes and stuff at these events or is it still very mobile?

Tamiya 1/6 scale series. First figure I've done and I'm quite happy with it. Disappointed in the air fix paint that came in another kit, the humbrol stuff I bought looks much better ( observe the difference in the green on the magazine pouches compared to the canteen covers)

Eagle industries RRV USMC issue IFAK pouch, magazine pouch, canteen pouch and grenade pouches. FILBE assault pack to supplement the full FILBE pack which is far too big for anything less than a weekender !

I like how you execute your videos and the focus on milsim. Looking forward to seeing the next few load out vids, will there be any recce / green side based kits? Would like to see your approach to operating out of a belt kit or webbing set

I like the idea and have seen it done (albeit it poorly, guy turned up at my local with hot sniper rifle and bunged a really low spring in it so he could play). I think it would be good for quiet sneaky work without a MED.

I've read that you should roll about in the dirt and get it absolutely honking , and just keep it in your garage and not clean it or something. Vaguely remember something about smoke from a wood fire to get rid of smells and bugs?
