    What Milsim providers are there beside Warzone, tier 1 and Sterling? They're the kind of thing I'm after but I'd rather something woodland instead of FIBUA sites everyone seems to be using

      Gunman does a range of 'filmsim' games. These include vietnam, WW2, Cold war and modern. I have done a couple of the WW2 ones and they have been excellent fun. I wouldn't really compare them to milsim, but definitely a step up from an open day.

      Okto 8 is very much a social event with two 8 hour games in between. I would not recommended it as a hard core Milsim but I would still recommend going as it is something different and on the whole the players are great.

      Airbounre typically only play one day as a Milsim event followed by a skirmish the following day but that isnt always the case sometimes it just the one day.

    I haven't had the chance to attend a milsim event yet but I think attending something like this beforehand would definitely be a big help, even if only to help calm nerves and know what to do rather than the usual headless chicken behaviour from skirmishes . At the lower end of the estimate I'd definitely be interested as I usually end up spending 40 quid at an open day anyway!

    Hold onto it a while you'll make a f@ck load on eBay lol! For me it was more one of those "it's stupid but would be nice" sort of things I'd never be willing to part with the absurd sums some people will lol.

    Well jealous, I missed the Pip boy edition! I've preorded the club version with bobble head and the strategy book. Was gutted to not get the pip boy edition as I have the lunchbox edition of FO3. I'm also looking foward to Assassins creed Syndicate. Unsure about Halo 5, hated the beta I played but then I'm a massive Halo fan so will probably end up buying it just because. Anyone else notice a complete move away from classic Halo controls for something more COD'esque ?

    Saw two absolute plonkers on Herbet road, SE london yesterday. Both unfortunately fellow airsofters. One guy walking around with dumppouch, thigh rig etc all still attached in his BDU bottoms and a t Shirt with Sun glasses thinking he was Rambo, not even 100m from where a Boy was stabbed to death yesterday and Police were still on High alert searching for the weapon. Other plonker was waiting for him in his car in full gear. Walking around in your gear doesn't make you look cool, it makes...

      Dont get me started. Have (Well, HAD) a friend once who started to get into it and bought one of those pre-built £30 tac-vests, and wore it in his car for "Work" when 2 officers came down along the street and questioned him and thought he was undercover!

    Expecting my belt rig without its harness to work as well on site as it did when I was clearing room to room in my house. It kept falling down every 5 steps, sagging and smacking me in the arse . It ended up taking the trouser button off my BDU's so they kept falling down. So I was totally immobile beyond maybe 10 steps at a time, I was frustrated and sweating so my goggles obviously fogged up and I couldn't see f*ck all through the tiny peephole on the m14 iron sights which was a bit naff because it was the first time I'd used it so I wasn't much use. Just stood there getting shot a lot lol

    Right lads, I'm now driving and live right beside the A20 so have easy access to the M25 so can comfortably travel to good sites further from london. What are some really good woodland sites you guys play at? Would be cool to put faces to names !

      My local site too! It's the best in the area IMO.

      You've also got Ultimate Wargames too.. their Fawkham site is only 10 minutes-ish from A20.

      Little bit basic compared to Apocalypse though...

      Yeah it's now my nearest site conveniently! The last site I went to was a bit basic, I've been searching for a massive woodland site like that to compliment ,my recon kit! Their mil sims sound right up my street too.

    I had a mount on mine which wasn't a G&G mount. I bought it second hand so I'm not entirely sure of brand but I believe it was CYMA? As to the ACOG, the Yanks have used them on m14's in the GWOT. Looks good.

    Have you been to Tesco, pal? Only place I've ever been able to find it, and even then only some of them have it. I've seen scale model makers use other oven cleaners to soak paint from models in a plastic bag over night - might be worth trying one of these?

    if you've got an air compressor it might be strong enough to dislodge it, i don't know if a spray can would be strong enough. try washing it out, if not try silicon spray to dilute it, then the compressed air?

      I queued up outside game and took the day off to get a fallout 3 collectors edition. Hopefully they redo the Pipboy UI as I think the straight list in Fallout 1 and 2 was better.

      I have the lunchbox, came with a little bobblehead. I had/have Fo3 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC lol.
