  1. Yet again all of what I ordered isn't in stock. This is becoming a habit... lol
  2. Unfortunately all three sets of it were binned, this is the one, its like twice the size of the ones linked! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AIRFIX-D-DAY-1-72-Scale-60th-Anniversary-limited-edition-set-/251626169278?pt=UK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN&hash=item3a9616a3be
  3. I've no experience with them, the set I had was the massive 60th anniversary set. Cost around £50 I believe. I'm led to also believe they're now collectors pieces?
  4. Planning a trip to Ukraine anytime soon Tal? Wouldn't look out of place!
  5. Outbid in the last second for a set of MTP airborne webbing for the measingly sum of an extra pound! What was annoying is, it had been up for a week, no watchers, no bidders, I bid on it with 10 seconds to go, someone randomly bids at 4 seconds, and ebay didn't process my bid in time! Got me feeling like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GgaNyyL9Mo
  6. I used to do that when I was your age James, I had the D day anniversary set by airfix (bought it three times in total as each time I finished it someone stomped all over it) And I'd get frustrated halfway through a half track and be like f*ck this im doing a landing craft lol. Now I get too engrossed in things, I spent the whole day pretty much doing that tank, didn't move from my chair except maybe 5 times!
  7. What would of really been impressive was if I'd drank the other 4 I had! Alas, its still not finished in my eyes, once I get some washes I'll be able to add depth to her.
  8. 1/35 German 2cm Flakvierling 38 Model Kit 1 £4.95 1/35 Sand Bags Set Model Kit 1 £3.59 1/35 German Panzergrenadiers 1 £6.74 1/35 US Army Infantry European Theatre Model Kit 1 £4.28 A teaser of whats to come, just bought these! Going to try and get down to Hobby Craft and buy a diorama board and some foilage.
  9. Any of you lads have experience with Dragon 1/35 Infantry? I'm wondering if they're worth the extra money compared to Italeri or Reveel.
  10. It was a good laugh trying to get them off the backing a little bit tipsy, punched myself in the chin a few times as my hand slid off but the decal didn't lol!
  11. You've got an amazing talent BB! Here's the Cromwell weathered : Edit: Just noticed my turret decal has fallen off! Will pick up some decal setter for my next model.
  12. Aye built sober (ish) , painted and decal'd over the course of two pints haha! Thanks mate I'm flattered, its only the cheap starter cromwell airfix sell. Edit: Going to take some pics of it now I've weather and muddied. ETA 5 minutes
  13. Create yourself a photobucket account Bud. Email yourself the photos from your phone, save them to your computer then upload to photobucket. Use the IMG link beside your photo on photobucket then copy and paste it here
  14. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/23090-the-scale-modelswar-gaming-discussion-and-pictures-thread/?p=165015 Done.
  15. Right Lads, discuss models you're working on, share pictures, plans, dioramas, places to buy, brands of model and paint, even war gaming models such as those in Bolt action and Flames of War. All of it goes here. Enjoy This is my first model, will shortly begin work on a Normandy diorama in 1/35 or 1/72 I am undecided thus far. I like the look of Italeri and Taimya models and paint, so willl likely go for them. Also considering buying a Bolt Action rule book (I like the look of the game but I'm not going to use their models) and perhaps get a friend to play against me (May give my diorama an alternate purpose)
  16. It is indeed. I've now weathered her and added mud to the tracks, mudguards and other points it would have flew up onto. Will try and get an update picture! We should make a scale model thread as not to hijack this one.
  17. You'll like this James And what I'm listening to ATM: " Whether on the scaffold high or the battlefield we die, oh what matter when for Erin dear we fall!"
  18. Not airsoft but I know alot of you lads are into scale models and besides I don't know anyone else into military gear like us, but just bought some stuff for a diorama 1/72 German 88mm Flak 36/37 Model Kit 1 £7.19 1/72 British Commandos Model Figures 1 £6.98 Mini XF-22 Flat RLM Grey 10ml Acrylic Paint 1 £1.44 Mini XF-51 Flat Khaki Drab 10ml Acrylic Paint 1 £1.44 Mini XF-15 Flat Flesh 10ml Acrylic Paint 1 £1.44 Mini XF-52 Flat Flat Earth 10ml Acrylic Paint 1 £1.44 1/72 German Infantry Model Figures 1 £6.98 EDIT: Been politely emailed by the shop to inform me the infantry are out of stock and they would order them in for me (with at least a week delay) if indeed the manufacturer could still provide them. However they also allowed me to cancel or change my order which I think is excellent customer service. Have in this instance cancelled the order as I need the pieces ASAP, however big thumbs up to Wonderland models for actually bothering to email me and let me know unlike many other companies!
  19. Mike, that is a beautiful rifle you've got mate! I'm looking at a similar set up for myself RE optics and furnitute, but going to keep the front end "issue" looking with a 7 inch KAC.
  20. Enjoyed making this so suppose I'm going to be adding modeling to the list.
  21. Well today I re visited airfix models and I must say as an adult they're much more enjoyable now that I have patience and fine motor skills. Spent the whole day building a Cromwell tank, just sat and painted it over two pints of guiness, listening to luke kelly. Perfect night.

I've been shuffling a bunch of boxed models around for ages. All 1/32 or 1/24 Revell WWII aircraft but also a huge number of the old AMT/ERTL Star Wars kits, some Stargate ones and a bunch of 1/6 and 1/4 scale vinyl figure kits (again mostly SF or comic related). Must actually make some time and put some together!

I think a lot of the Stargate ones are not produced any-more :(

Most of what I have isn't produced any more! Some of them are ebay finds, some have been kicking around my place for yeeeeeeeears! I have some nice 1/4 scale Screamin' Vinyl figures that went out of production about 15 years ago (Stormtrooper, Hellraiser Dr Channard cenobite). They're MASSIVE!
