I actually really like that! I'd (if this was real combat and not airsoft) have it as a semi automatic, forefeiting the original action. I'd keep the swing there though, maybe fix it to the stock and make it like a knuckle duster for when you need to crack some skulls!

At my local someone turnt up with a Riot shield and it was encorporate into a final game. The guy with the riot shield, was considered invicible (he was to be shot until he gave in from pain) and could shoot around his shield. On his team were two other players, who once shot had to be tagged back in by the juggernaut. In order to win, we had to first kill both of his team mates and then shoot the juggernaut. so it was 3 vs around 20 of us, but it still turnt out a hard game nonetheless because they worked so well together to all stay in, using buildings and the shield to make themselves pretty much covered all the time.

My local did this, banned all videos and photos yet carried on taking them themselves. They gave a half-arsed mumbled reply about protecting minors or something- the same minors who are required to wear full face masks anyway? Idiocy.

Visited the M72 today, did a bit of hacksawing albeit crooked due to the shitey poundshop hacksaw holding the blade askew. Going to crack out the jigsaw tomorow and the dremel, Then pop up to wickes for some conduit. Should have something remotely resemembling a LAW by the weekend!

I dont think that last bit is correct. Its the purchasing that is the offence, ownership is perfectly legal and requires no defense. Regardless, many law officials have announced the VCRA un-enforcable and most officers won't have the first clue what airsoft is let alone the laws regarding it. As long as he's using the RIF for airsoft and airsoft only I dont see why any police would get involved or know he even owns it lol.

UTJ, what about mocking it up in MDF, making a mould from that and then having a company cast it in ABS?

Could you not buy a cheapy pair of hinges out the poundshop, some fibreglass filler out of halfords, apply it and then shape it to look correct mate? I aint got a clue what the hinges look like but if they're particular ones that might be of some help! Ian mate, I'm not familiar with the mortar shells but im assuming they're eletrically set off? If so, I think I remember reading about someone using a 9v battery, so I've come up with this (sorry if it comes across as patronising, you've probably already come up with it yourself but you never know!) The green bits are contacts to complete the circuit upon depressing the original firing button. I reckon with a bit of fibre glass and a dremel it might take you an afternoon or two at the very best? I'm aiming to fire nerfs and such via m203's so it's a bit hard to get it right without the fugly rod thing sticking about the back that everyone is happy with. I'm thinking of cutting a trap door in the top to breach load it, then have a spring loaded firing pin behind the shell which is connected to the firing button. Its a simple enough theory but I just need to think of and make A) A spring loaded firing pin, don't fancy adding that to my search history a way of recocking without having to add the ability to open up the whole damn thing. Probably deceptively simple but I can't really get to the bottom of it. I've also toyed with the idea of using a 9v to power a small hobby actuator but I think the time between firing button pressed and that fully extending to press the back of the '203 could be between 3-5 seconds which well its a bit useless really.

Yeah I was thinking have you had the GB apart? Might be a little bit of foreign matter in their or something getting knocked loose so that when it rattles about during the day, it'll occasionally obstruct your piston making full contact, so that shot will have less power and dribble out? Then once the FM is hit with your piston head, it flys out the way and your next few shots are fine until it repeats?

Alright Lads, we've all done it, ideas of grandeur abound we've decided we're gonna make a tank/rocket launcher/custom gun etc. so ran down to the nearest DIY store bought a metric f*ck tonne of PVC,Plywoods or Aluminium (choose your vice see what I did there...) started for a day, then never had the time/skill/money or motivation to return to it or even start it in some cases! What are you guilty of? I myself am "in the process" of making an M72A7 LAW (I've sawn a 2m drain pipe in half and haven't been near it for the best part of 2 months). I honestly do have the intentions to finish it, I'm just biding my time till I a) have enough surplus cash to do the thing justice B ) work out a perfect locking and firing mechanism as I'm a bit of a realism junkie and want it to look perfect, and function perfect. Both of which have pushed me towards looking for a real one for sale (fat chance!) so I can just stick a mechanism inside it and be done with it, but I can live in hope! I'm also pondering building an AR-18 and .30 cal MG (then its .50 bigger brother) but again money is restricting my ingenuity. If you're suspecting beebs giving you a dirty hop you can wash your bb's the night before in diet cola but be sure to use diet to prevent adding sugar to them, and give them a rinse with dish soap to get it all off. Leave them in an old sock on the radiator to dry I've read of snipers doing it and apparently the increase in accuracy also is good. Have you got a good air seal in the gearbox?

Could you not just wrap the opening bit of velcro'y stuff round your pistol grip and then the clip onto your belt? thats what I assumed was the intended use of it anyway
