  1. I've found that MAG midcaps work perfectly (with a layer of electrical tape) in all 4 that I have tested, if memory serves, the G&G mags seem to be sub par considering the build of their rifles, with many complaining that they do not feed in many guns.
  2. TM hi-capa http://www.eliteshootingcentre.co.uk/
  3. the ZCI gearbox that ak2m4 sells has a quick change feature.
  4. I don't know why, but I've just gotten a hankering for a gas spas 12, preferably using the TM system.

I think someone a rough concept of that only using A maruzen shell ejecting system and the Spas-12 was a mix of Mariu and KTW parts. The 870 system is fairly combat so I'm sure with some minor material removal You can somehow jam it into a spas-12 body

  5. so that means that it actually has take down pins, and not the ubiquitous TM screws lol. and it is of a solid build, hopefully to the extent of being able to pummel someone with.
  6. Basically I'm looking for a solid spare rifle which is cheap enough and robust enough to lend out to friends, while still having the capability of being a good rifle, aiming for a stalker style look but if you can show me a better model for a cheaper price, I'd be very happy. this is the one I'm currently looking at: http://www.taiwangun.com/en/cm-040-cm?from=listing&campaign-id=19 with 2 150rd and possibly this: http://www.taiwangun.com/en/scope-for-svd-dragunow-a-c-m?from=listing&campaign-id=14 if memory serves, ian did quite a thorough guide on the CM ak lineup, and I believe the linked one is a VFC clone. basically, what are people's thoughts, and is it fit for purpose as a bashing around rifle.
  7. combination of the above "releasing the trigger too quickly/not letting it finish it's cycle" and having a lower powered battery/motor. what battery are you using?
  8. hey, I've still got at least 25 years before even the beginning of a mid life crisis arises.
  9. no interest in doing a back to the future conversion, eh eh
  10. No idea, I've emailed the UK distributor asking for a price yesterday, whether they respond is any bodies guess. My father actually has both a mk1/2 ferret and a command variant Saracen, and he loves them both to bits, so highly recommended, plus the parts are pretty universal between the 2. slight update - the pricing seems to start at $450,000 from the factory door, so probably looking at the £500,000
  11. I know this is a bit of a necro post, but slightly better than making a new thread. I've found my mid life crisis buy - the Ghurkha RPV
  12. TM in general are the superior brand. The newest WE series (generation 4) are strong contenders while the earlier models can be of a quite low standard. The ASG Mk23 is, in my opinion, better than the TM version, specifically for the rapport qualite prix (the relation between price and quality), I am not saying the TM one is not good, it's just that for £30 you can get a similar gun with almost the same firing effectiveness (I've found that the ASG can hop heavier ammo straight out of the box, compared to the TM). I have had a bit of a mess around with the KWA NS7 series (please can someone correct me if I'm wrong) and the pistol quality is beautiful, with similar weight to the real steel, however, I've found them to be purely a warm weather gun, with cooldown issues being quite apparent. when they fire though, they do fire well. my own preference would be the TM hi-capa series, closely followed by the above ASG MK23.
  13. now, unlike the G&G, it is a screw system, which when there is anything on it, or as above it is rusted, you cannot screw it off, not knowing this and assuming it was a pull off that had secured itself, I applied a bit of heat to try and expand it a bit in the hope that it may break itself loose, however it effectively melted as if it was solder, good thing was that the post seems to be steel as well so it melted straight off. without damaging the post or gun at all. just be careful.
  14. I bought a couple of the L85's from phillip flop (highly recommended seller), and I've decided to keep one and bring it up to a2 spec for personal use. All the information I gathered said it was a simple G&G style with a grub screw holding it in, but having removed the grub screw there is absolutely no movement off of the gun, does anyone know/heard about this, and whether there are any fixes short of cutting the thing off? thanks geoff
  15. As an FYI, Costco lakeside has a load of underarmour t-shirts for less than £10, and shorts for £15, got 2 tees myself.

Strangely I picked up 3 the other week for the same sort of money in TK Maxx

  16. thanks for adding the photos, for some reason my computers are not allowing me to copy and paste things into the chat box, I think I remember something about it being Dark Earth on the description (which no longer exists). but isn't there a load of numbered Dark earth colours? edit: http://gunfire.pl/product-eng-1152205926-150rd-hi-cap-magazine-for-M82-type-replicas-tan.html here's a pic of the mag, same colour as the gun, it just doesn't look tan to me
  17. can anyone identify the colour of my rifle, and possibly point me in the right direction for a spray can full? Thread DIY Page 17 Post 340 for some reason won't allow me to copy and paste the IMG URL, or paste anything else, will do this when at home.
  18. a genuine DD can cost between £150-£250 dependent on supply, so, if it isn't the madbull clone, it could be a good price, for a good piece of kit.
  19. I had a mess around putting a load of that sound deadening foam in the body of a China P90 (£90 thing from airsoft world) as well as a silent piston head, that was pretty quiet, leave it on semi and it was almost as quiet as a NBB ruger. kind of a one off thing as taking it apart was extremely difficult. were I to do it again, I'd take another P90 or an M14, but effectively cut the body in half and install some mounting plates so that I can stuff more foam in while retaining a dissasembly option, probably include an AB mosfet with precocking.
  20. don't suppose anyone knows of any reviews of KOER AS VAL (the poor mans one lol), really interested in doing a russian/stalker style load.

There was one in Airsoft International a couple of issues back. As a basic gun it's OK but as a decent replica of the VAL it's a bit wrong. Depends what you want from it I guess. It has a standard V3 GB so the fire selector works like a normal AK not like a VAL for instance.

the receiver and the dust cover isn;t right as well

Yeah it's one of things. A VAL that looks right and works right is expensive but the cheap ones are fine if all you want is something VAL-"ish" on a budget.

  21. big bang theory, for the win, lol but seriously, I like it, simple, practical and looks very much the part.
