I don't think it's really designed for open day sites where they have to cater for the lowest common denominator. More for special events where blanks, pyro and ear defenders are standard .
I think the immersion provided by these units would be ruined by the Spandex and hose pipes at most open days these days anyway.
I do forget that to many airsofters there is only open day airsoft as they enjoy those and wander no further

Surprisingly, they do seem to actually shoot more or less consistently.
Lolz and all, but more to go wrong.
I'm pretty surprised

Well that's taught me something new, thanks! Interesting that the L119A2 didn't stick around for long at all!
8 years which is a reasonable time but not as long as others

I hadn't heard that. What's it being replaced with?
Been replaced , It's a knights armament KS1

Worth noting that for some reason odd reason Rossi decided to make it too long for the cqb and too short for the carbine . The issue is it.s not just the barrel length , it's the rail length that wrong too.
It is funny seeing all the L119A2 options arriving on the market just as it leaves service though

That's cool, would be interested in it if it's not prohibitively expensive and how it (if it does) integrates to work with AEGs or does it require a whole new gun to work? I did note on their site it states it's 140-150db so everyone near you (and yourself) is going to need hearing protection.
I do recommend checking out their youtube videos from 7 years ago as it will answer most questions .
It goes on your existing airsoft gun and the volume can be adjusted from lower ,more ear safe levels to full immersive levels the same as firing blanks

£850 is to be expected , especially for the first batch which will have to be shipped by air to meet demand on release

They are already out. Mostly using T8 parts for the noveski . Similar price to a basic TM MWS but with the nice N4 reciever etc. The double eagle MWS clone is actually nicer and cheaper by quite some margin

It could be a faulty magazine. I’ve only got one, so possibly need to buy another to see if the issue is the magazine or the gun. Either way, it’s not a big deal. The gun is still awesome and fires bbs fine. I can live without the dry fire mode, but I would prefer it if the bolt was full travel.
Yeah I seriously don't get why yours isn't completely closing

Thanks for the YouTube video. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have made any difference to mine. I’ve trimmed that tab down to the point that it is now shorter than the switch, but it still only fires once before clicking back across and the bolt still stops short of closed. It seems to fire bbs fine, which I guess is the most important thing for most people, but it would be nice to have a functioning dry fire mode.
That's extremely odd. Did you import yours?

Thanks for the info. Does that also fix the issue with the dry fire mode? The issue I’m having is that I can’t seem to lock it in dry fire mode. When I switch it over and insert the magazine it seems to switch back over and holds the bolt in the part open position after firing one round. Can you post a picture of the part you’ve trimmed?
To be totally honest, I’m not even sure if I’m using the dry fire mode correctly. I can’t find a YouTube video explaining haw to set it properly and it doesn’t really explain it well in the instructions. Most video reviews just mention it, but don’t really go in to any depth regarding the magazine.
I'll try and make a video

Well, I’ve had a bit more of a play and I have to say, I’m extremely happy. I have no idea what it’ll be like to skirmish with, accuracy, power or longevity of parts, but for my purposes as a collection, display gun, it is absolutely awesome. It feels solid, everything clicks nicely and it looks beautiful, as you’d expect from VFC. Unfortunately, it has the same bolt block feature that the VFC MP5 has, which prevents the bolt and charging handle slamming forward with an empty magazine inserted. It does have a dry fire mode on the magazine, but it only appears to work for one shot, then clicks back over to normal mode.
All in all, I’m a very happy bunny. Bring on the VFC M249.
It's worth noting that it actually has the same bolt lock as the G3 , not the MP5 !
However the mags from the factory have a slight over molding on the lock out lever that I trimmed with a razor blade and it took under a minute to do 3 mags. Once you do that you will find it locks out reliably and also that the bolt carrier closes fully

JD Airsoft , combat south, KBC Airsoft, high pressure Airsoft all do them . If they are out of the one you need they can usually get them in a day or two if you ask them
-
the performance when used as intended is actually very very good . If you are looking for a hpa DMR it might be best to look at wolverine mtw etc

Awesome cheers.
Probably a good job your not getting it to use, the magazine valve knocker design looks like it’s causing issues already.
It's the same design as the G3 . Just one guy who hadn't used one before refused to read an instruction manual before uploading to YouTube. I'll do an in depth review and update over the years like i did with the G3

In fairness to the company, their FN FAL seems to have had good reports for the first batch.
G3 superb , BCM superb , M733 superb , FAL superb , XM177 superb , APFG MCX again superb but people like to harp on about older gen stuff or repeat things like "GBBs don't work in winter" or "TM never have QC" issues . The earlier VFC GBBs for sure had some issues and especially the gen 1 M4 but most others are blown out of proportion . The AEGs on the other hand ..... Bit more of a lottery

If you don't currently have a permanent airsoft repair bench, set one up before you get the Ares version. However, I do have to say that Negative Luke is overly critical of it and, in some areas, wrong.
In fairness to Luke he plays to his audience. He swears and exaggerates things in a way that appeals to his main demographic of younger teens

The Cyma/T8 is one version. T8 parts in the Cyma base gun and then licensed by EMG
The DE is cheaper than the cyma and in my opinion it's the one to buy as it's out of the box more compatible with other mws parts .
While the DE costs about the same as a base line MWS it is about a third of the price of a TM MWS and Noveski reciever kit.
I'm not a big fan of the MWS platform but I am tempted to getting the DE after trying all of the options head to head for a few days
