Yeah, i'm not ex military, but it's the same problem in essence with the same solution in practice - adjust the nut behind the trigger. The problem with airsoft guns though is that you can easily achieve double the ROF of real steel and when you want spread, to shoot at a running target say, firing 3rnd bursts at them only gives the same spread if you jerk the muzzle a bit - which feels counterintuitive to me and, i understand, is something you're taught not to do in the military?

Yes it does, quite a bit. You'll notice it in trigger response and rate of fire. Another smaller improvement is to solder the motor connections instead of the spade connectors they usually come with and, of course, swapping any Small Tamiya connectors for Deans is another small improvement. Just make bloody sure that when you do fit a MOSFET you use heat shrink to properly cover your connections and also, if you find that it is not possible to configure your wiring so that it never gets squashed between the gearbox and receiver when reassembling, using a bit of heat shrink to add an extra thickness of insulation over the point of most squash will help to make sure that you do not compromise the insulation. These precautions are worth taking because, if you short out most MOSFETs, even for a moment, that is it for them - FUBAR. You can also help this problem by sanding/filing/dremmeling any sharp edges inside the receiver until smoothly rounded and wiping a thin layer of grease both on the interior of the receiver and the wiring. Trust me though, it is well worth it for the fast trigger response. TBH the rate of fire increase is a bit of a pain in the arse, especially if you're using mid caps, but you can learn to get the same spread of fire as from a lower ROF by good trigger discipline firing in 3rnd bursts (or use a MOSFET which provides burst control automatically).

Try getting double tapped in the bum hole OP have a look on flecktarn.co.uk for some gear which is what you might call "semi pro" - ie well hard enough for airsoft and not quite so expensive as WAS etc.

With regards to 7.4V LiPo's - I have found that a Red Dragon 30C 5000mAh does not perform as well as I expected in comparison to VP Racing / Vapex NiMh 8.4V mini packs and the same from a random 20C unbranded airsoft stick LiPo (although to be fair that was 2nd hand in with some other bits and may have been a lot more hammered than claimed) - To get similar trigger response when using these LiPo's I had to rewire with 16AWG and fit a MOSFET (and i still wasn't happy so I went to 16:1 gears). TBH I've pretty much given up with them (actually i sold the 20C one for a fiver posted lol) and am in the process of converting all my guns to 11.1V LiPo's, which do give very noticeable benefits in fast trigger response and a crisper cycle. Although some guns also require an AB MOSFET, as opposed to just an ordinary power handling MOSFET, when using such a voltage to stop them firing full-auto when semi is selected. Of course some of them have/will need/ed a change of gears and/or piston, but i think it's worth it not just for the immediate benefits but for battery compatibility across my collection.

Here you go, i've taken a new pic to show the better job better: ...i used a couple of bits of sleeping mat wrapped in curtain lining cloth. I didn't have or have access to a sewing machine when i did the first one, with foam just stuck in with double sided tape, and i just couldn't be arsed to sew something by hand. I would recommend this sewn solution though. At some point i'll redo the woodland coloured mask like this too - the close weave cloth is more comfortable than foam against the skin.

^^There are hundreds of different types, mate. Generally speaking the lightweight folding plastic ones are not much good, but fixed plastic ones can be very good - they also have the advantage of not adding as much weight to the front of the gun as most aluminium ones. But aluminium ones usually look better. You may want to consider getting one with a built in slot for a pressure switch (for a torch or laser), but then again those slots are not the right shape for every pressure switch and the position of them may not be right for your hand - you can always tape a pressure switch to any VFG also. Again though, a pressure switch fitted into a slot does look cool... I would suggest you try to find one you like from gunfire.pl so that you can save shipping costs, but other than that, it is personal taste.

Yes, it will work fine. The only thing to be aware of about those waffle mags is that you can get holes shot in them. It doesn't actually affect the performance of the mid cap ones though (unless you are very unlucky) and besides, AK mags always look good with tape wrapped around them! Might be a good idea to get a vertical foregrip too, as well as a good battery and a spare.

I agree with Ed re: a mini/micro red dot being the way forward - they are often also listed as MRDS. Re: disabled play - I have mobility issues due to peripheral neuropathy causing constant pain in my extremities - that also has led to me becoming very unfit. In fact I've been conspicuous by my absence in the field for most of this year, but I'm making a comeback this Sunday @Skirmish Airsoft Mansfield - I can testify (can I get a witness?) to how felexible they are to players' needs. Not as near to you as some of course, but a great site if you have a car, because getting there by public transport on a Sunday is impossible. They do alternate game days though, so it's Saturday one week, Sunday the next - the 3rd Sunday of the month is the day not to miss though - Big Sunday where games range across large chunks of the site at the same time, as opposed to being confined to zones while scum paintballers also use other zones. You could always have a look on the airbana map for somewhere closer to you...

I think the problem with this camera system and the angle-sight is that when you're looking around a corner at your target, you are not able to see the bell end your own team member who is about to step right in front of your muzzle, or the enemy whom you haven't noticed who is about to spring up/out of cover... that's the only reason that makes any real sense to me to ban blind firing per se and these systems do not prevent that, so no I wouldn't expect to be allowed to use one and would not play at sites which allow them.

CYMA may be cheaper than LCT or E&L but they shoot better out of the box and, depending on which model you get, their externals can be good also. Looking at gunfire.pl the first one that really jumped out to me to suit your needs is the CM.048A which does, as Chock said, then leave you enough for things like eye protection, boots, good battery & spare*, smart battery charger**, face protection, spare mags, something to carry them in, alcohol swabs to use with the cleaning rod to clean the barrel, vertical foregrip, rifle sling, side mount for sight & sight or AK sight with side mount, BB's, etc. *The battery which comes with it is pretty shit and should only be kept as a 2nd spare because you can easily run it down to flat in 40 minutes of skirmishing. Get 2 good 1600mAh stick batteries. **You can use the charger which comes with it so long as you use our app to calculate how long to charge your battery for and set an alarm to remind you, or use an electrical plug with a timer built in. A smart charger automatically detects when the battery is fully charged and switches to trickle current and can be had for less than €12.

You'll probably have to put holes in it to make breathing through it easier and even so it will get damp with condensation and slobber inside. On the plus side it will probably look pretty good and, as you say, because it will be bendy, it may well work more easily with eyepro. To make my mesh masks work with eyepro and be more comfortable I have added pads that make them sit off my cheekbones: The pads in these ones are attached by velcro so I can take them off to clean, whereas the first ones I did need to be washed as they are. I also added a patch of velcro fuzz which i intended to come between the tip of my nose and the mesh, but as you can see i miscalculated its position (and still haven't sorted it out, so it's a bit Hitler-esque to wear )

I'm not familiar with the charger, but assuming it is a balancing charger (it has a socket for that extra little white plug with the 4 wires), which it should be to charge LiPo's, it should balance them automatically. Note: I edited your title to comply with our 'what it says on the tin' policy.

The only RIF I have ordered from outside the EU was little HG-106 Walther from China and tbh I wish i hadn't bothered - i don't know what madness struck me, but there we are not because the process is complex or whatever, but just because it's such a shitty gun and the costs just kept piling on! 1st thing is that the retailer may insist on a specific courier rather than standard airmail, which will be more expensive. 2nd you will get hit by Customs - it wont go through unmolested like 6/7 or more packages from HK and mainland China The charges are 20% VAT which should be on the value of the contents only but if the retailer puts the total including shipping on the label, they will charge the VAT on the lot of it (the robbing bastards - in theory you could complain about this and they ought to refund you but i wouldn't hold my breath) + a handling fee charged by the courier which can be more than £15 - iirc the highest I've paid was £18, but has also been as little as about £8. airsoft.tiger111hk.com have been pretty good in the past, but recently their customer service to me has been shit - it took them 2 weeks to even start to pack an order of mine, at which point they told me that one of the items was OOS. In the meantime I'd ordered something else (assuming that nearly 2 weeks later was far too late to alter the original order). It may well be worth putting your phone number on it too, but i haven't personally ever heard of UK Customs ringing anyone up over RIF imports.

In the meantime, to get round the reholstering into fabric holster fiddle, you could use a lanyard. That's why I use one anyway: so that I know i'm not going to lose the pistol if i don't have time to piss about getting the retention strap done up again. Something i have experienced since using the lanyard... looking all special forces when you draw seems to intimidate some players: i've literally had people give up and come out from good cover in bushes, when i couldn't even see them, just because i whipped my USP out and put a few shots into a couple of random places which looked like likely places to hide.
