  1. Thanks lads I spose we're no longer bothered that they may be illegal (being an explosive projectile)
  2. Where are you lads getting your TAG sets from?
  3. Flex makes a good point there, but chargers which do both NiMh and LiPo's are more expensive. The one to go for in that case is the iMax B6 (which you can find on fleabay or amazon) - it comes in 2 formats: with the power supply built in, or without. The reason to buy it without is if you think you may take it somewhere where you will run it from a car battery (like a site with no facilities or a weekender where charging facilities are limited), otherwise may as well buy the lot as 1 unit. The PS you need is the type which looks like a laptop charger but outputs 12V @ 5000mAh -ish (4500 will do if the price is attractive) with the standard 12V size cylindrical plug (5.5mm) which accepts a pin down its centre inside the socket. But bear in mind that, although LiPo's are the way forward, to get the best out of them you also want Deans connectors, 16AWG wiring, and a MOSFET - with standard wiring, Mini Tamiya connectors and no MOSFET, a VP Racing 8.4V NiMh will just outperform most 7.4V LiPo's and so long as you look after it, ie discharge it between uses, it will last well also. TBH you don't even want to think about what you need to know to jump to 11.1V LiPo's until you have at least skirmished the gun and got to grips with what the various parts of its mechanisms are called, plus how they work of course. I'm not certain which NiMh battery pack you need, 2 leg or 3, but Vapex make them both and any others you may fancy, so if you don't see what you need here, it's probably just a job of emailing them. Somebody with more experience of wombat machines will be able to tell you exactly which shape fits your model. Krylon Clear Coat - from patrolbase. Put it on in 3 light coats, allowing at least 15mins to dry between coats.
  4. Ian knows of whom and over what he's jealous...
  5. Wow, that is diligence beyond what I would expect. Good to know that they didn't just destroy it though...
  6. ^^I quite like the sound of the bezel twist to preselect output before you turn it on, but yeah, I'm not paying £75 for it. What I want is a pressure pad that has 2 switches in it - 1 as normal pressure on and a 2nd latching / plus when you press the pressure switch while the latch switch is on, it should make the torch advance mode like skipping through them with a mousetail as normal. That can't be beyond our ken, can it?
  7. day 2 in the gym - 1hr 10mins heart rate above 140 / took me an hr munching biccies & smoking fags to recover enough to walk home!

      two_zero

well, thats 10 mins less than you spent in the gym, good job!

try the recovery stuff they sell, can seem expensive, but some of them works a treat!

i know it sounds stupid mate but the best thing for gym is water and lots of it. drink an extra 500ml of water 2 hours before exercise and it will hel you keep hydrated.

Starting your workout dehydrated reduces the amount of fluid circulating in your bloodstream and bathing your body's cells. Less circulating fluid makes your heart work harder during exercise, drives up your heat production, and limits your body's ability to cool itself. Increased body temperature als...

it's a minicipal leisure centre so they just have a vending machine for chocolate crisps and coffee/tea / I gave a bloke who works there a tenner for a bit of 1on1 so yeah, i've had the water stylee n ting speech - been doing a litre over the 2hrs before and another litre during - thx tho, it all helps

  8. You only need a power supply if the charger you buy doesn't have one built in. But your battery is an NiMh so you don't need the type of charger which usually doesn't have a built in power supply. This is more than you need, but considering it's only £14 posted and it's Vapex you should consider it, because although you can get a simpler machine from componentshop.co.uk cheaper, when you add their famously expensive shipping, it will be about the same price. Oh, and you should also consider getting a 2nd battery to have as a spare, because accidents happen, and also because sometimes a 1600mAh battery will get run flat on days when you get cramp of the trigger finger If I were you I would buy a VP Racing / Vapextech battery as your main and keep the WE one as a spare - you will get really excellent performance out of them (you will notice the difference in trigger response and the crispness of the firing cycle, not just in rate of fire) <- buy it at the same time as the charger direct from Vapextech and maybe get a shipping reduction, although they only charge £2 to ship a battery anyway...
  9. Had to check, Mack - you never know, someone may have gone mental or be selling bankrupt stock at prices not to be missed... For me: Berezka Bandana - £11.90 posted ~ fleabay (out-fukin-rageous but what can u do?) Radiation Risk Sticker - £0.99 posted ~ fleabay (for the 51mm Mortar case I bought recently because it looks like it could have a nuke in it)
  10. LCT AK's do take standard V3 gearboxes and AK fire selector parts & hop units, yeah. I'd say the LCT externals are better finished than CYMA VFC clones, but I suspect that once weathered it would be damn difficult to spot the difference - they are both steel and while there may be a difference in steel quality, unless you're going to try using either to carry a casualty, as a platform to lift someone onto a roof, etc. that is never going to be an issue. The only exception to that is the brown pistol grip on the CM.048 range is a bit bollocks, cheap looking - although having said that, the black one on the LCT I had briefly was also pretty shit - it had a pronounced mould seam and was slightly loose (even though the bottom screw was done up tightly).
  11. TBH I feel pretty offended by the whole handling fee bollocks so I may well have a go at this. I wish I'd written down the name of the bloke I spoke to now, so I could complain / I mean, giving me wrong info, what a wanker, eh? What I wonder is how long this C88 process takes...
  12. No you can't. I mean yeah, in theory you can, but to do that UK Customs have to actually take custody of the package, which means that you then have to arrange for transport on to your address, since it is no longer in the system with everything else going to the courier you originally paid for. I rang them up to find out, because yeah the 'handling fee' is pure bum rapage - they literally do fuck all for that fee which does not happen to every other package...
  13. Looked great - couldn't shoot 30m with a flat trajectory. It was one of the economy versions from fire-support <= avoid like the plague. Better to buy the body kit yourself and fit your own internals, because you'd have to swap most of 'em anyway.
  14. No you don't have to produce anything: the couriers aren't interested in the VCRA - I suspect that UK Customs probably don't bother even looking up your UKARA#, tbh, but better to be on the safe side and keep the poxy thing current. I mean, if you know that you need to comply with VCRA, which they can tell just by "UKARA# XXXXXXXX" written on the package, you probably are an airsofter anyway, right? They are busy people...
  15. The Thai Green Curry vege MRE isn't bad - and hey, if these people are happy to have dead animals rotting in their guts, who are we to dissuade them? I've just been promoted to Captain of KGB:
  16. Just a suggestion here: if you want your gun to look dirty, put dirt on it.
  17. The L85A2 is a bullpup. The FAMAS is a bullpup. The Type 95 & 97 are bullpups. This is a bullpoop.
  18. I thought Parcelforce had the same rules as Royal Mail...? In which case they do ship RIF's, so long as they are legal (as regards demilled/restricted parts) and not air weapons. But every now and then you're always going to get a jobsworth who thinks they know what a gwaan and actually knows 'kall... as MN says, just put Toy - it is a fucking toy after all, or sports equipment and put your UKARA number in your address so it says "UKARA# XXXXXXXX" just to cover you if a UK Customs jobsworth X-rays it.
  19. just survived an hr & 1/2 in the gym - just being the operative word / i will return to the field if it fucking kills me: sadly it might by today's performance

a very unfit m8 joined a gym and was met by a very pretty young lady trainer. She got him to do do some basic exercises to determine his fitness level. Then she announced a routine to start him off that day.... "Nah sorry luv I'm shagged we will have to do them next time"

  20. What is genius, James, the hf audio one? I want a bang! For me, light weight and not sharp is essential - to be able to throw it properly without worrying about hurting people. It should be modular so that the shells can be replaced to go with various loadouts. The guts should be modular also so that the same detonator spring gubbins can have something else added/removed simply to change between impact or timed detonation. It would be handy if the same mech could be used for timed or impact with just a twist of some rugged bit, like the position of the spoon relative to the body say. Variable timer would be nice, but not really essential. The guts should also be simple to repair when worn out - whichever sear/spring/whatever wear out should be available as a spare. I'm not really bothered about 9mm, especially if it needs extra weight to prevent it jumping in a way which could hurt somebody when it goes off, but if it was possible to create a lightweight recoil absorbing mech so that it was louder, that would be ideal. But .209 primers are ok. A built in screamer a la key finder fob would be nice, since they are lightweight, to aid finding it in dense bushes and make stealing it more difficult.
  21. Nothing wrong with eagle6 that i know of, but not exactly cheap (not extortionate either mind). I just wanted to know if anybody else in the UK was stocking them, so i could compare prices.
