  1. Nothing mate, part of the pouch; just plain tan hypalon instead of MC (as the lid is).

Not sure why BFG did it that way, at a guess I'd say to resist downwards pressure on the pouch base tearing it out, you've got a good few extra inches of stitching there holding it in place. Hypalon is great in many respects but it's going to be weak to certain specific types of destructive forces trying to break it down from different directions, same as any material.

  2. wish I'd never tried to improve my Mini Patriot, it was an amazing gun till I tried improving it lol :D

    Love it.

If you could spread that post around to most other airsofters in the world please PT that'd be grand.

(Not saying people who really want to work on/upgrade guns are wrong here in case anyone was wondering, but I see way more issues result from 'upgrades' than guns left stock)

  3. Not to worry, they'll be used for about 7 days total of light duties each year (excluding contingencies like we had with the floods) and maybe the odd skirmish. So I should be alright.

As you say they are a lightweight/urban ops type boot end of the day, wouldn't expect much out of them. Got my LOWAs if I ever have to do lots of bergan tabs over the falklands again.

  4. No to rain on your parade mate, but you're gonna want to take another look at the upper part of that handguard. It's pretty evident from that picture it's quite a way from being fitted on properly.

If you can post up a shot of the area where it meets the upper receiver (preferably from an angle looking down at the top of the rifle) we should be able to get that sorted. There's a couple of different copies of the KAC RAS and depending on how yours attaches will depend on the fix. But from that picture it almost gives the impression the entire unit might be on backwards, either that, your fastening bracket is in the wrong place, or the barrel nut/corresponding channel in the rail is way off spec.

  5. Free boots that I'd actually quite willingly wear to airsoft (makes a nice change).

Every trip to stores is like a special, magical adventure. Where you'll either come out with a bag full kit of kit and a smile, or get horrible contractor talk to you like you're dirt for daring to ask for replacements for your worn out/non-fitting stuff.

Also I don't think I posted the WAS Sabre and Nemesis rigs from a week or two back. Picked 'em up to review and check Warrior kit was still up to snuff seeing as I've been recommending it to people all this time but not actually bought any for a long while.

  7. What the symbol out of interest? Something you can up with or what?

    Look great by the way

It's all related to the symbols and graphics used to display hazard warnings related to explosives. Generally seen on storage containers/buildings and trucks transporting any type of explosive materials be it civilian stuff all the way through small arms ammunition up to aircraft bombs and plastics. It's all very inter-linked with the air force armament trade, we tend to get lots of custom apparel, coins, cufflinks etc done up using the same basic symbolism.

Within the military it'll generally be labels like these all over everything we work with or on:

I picked 1.1 for the engravings because that's the most dangerous stuff with the most cool factor. Stuff like P7, 500-2000lb bombs, air-to-air missiles, claymores etc would fall under the 1.1 category. The larger numbers represent lesser hazards, so 1.3 for example is just a fire hazard rather than all out explosion, things like smoke grenades and large flares.
