  1. In my experience, customs only just barely understand UKARA as a defence, anything else (though legally correct) you'll be e-mailing them back and forth/calling up a couple of times to get the import sorted.
  2. I don't think anyone's ever got that riled up over mixed camo, I've worn mixed camo to almost every game I've ever played and nobody made the slightest comment; I'm sure it happens rarely but not that often give how common it is for people to do. I did get some real sh*tty remarks about "how rich I must be to have real magpul" many years ago when Magpul was 'the' thing (2010-11 ish I think), never an issue with mixed clothing though. I'm more indecisive about my outfits than your average lady before a night out, also I tend to like the look of 2 just totally mismatched colours/patterns, especially if they're a bit more 'unusual'.
  3. That's good of them for sure, but I still wouldn't risk it myself I have to say. Only takes one tiny policy wording change and you're up the creek next time you have a lens shot (and the bigger and more successful brands get the less they tend to give a s**t about the end user). Costs bugger all to get protectors for these things, might as well save the down time having to post it back to my mind, but each to their own.
  4. Does the fine print of that warranty specifically state that the company will cover damage in use (from an external source vs a failure in materials or workmanship)? Because that would be a very rare thing it has to be said; generally warranties explicitly say they don't cover that kind of thing.
  5. Blimey, all the binos I see on groups seem to go for like 7-10k, what actually are they? Totally custom made, I don't recommend the arktis copies of the crye trousers to anyone they don't fit crye kneepads correctly. I worked with them for a long time, spent ages writing out pages of advice and offered all the time and assistance/borrowing my personal gear to get their product made right and they ignored everything I told them and continue to f*ck things up. The quality of fabrics and stitching is very good but they've got their heads in the arses as far as design goes and refuse to listen to sense. The AOR stuff, as with most of what I buy, is all second hand sales/classifieds from all over the shop. Forums, facebook, instagram, various websites and sources.
  6. The Multicam, temperate MARPAT, AOR1 and AOR2 uniforms are Cryes. Technically it's the Zimbabwean pattern in this specific fabric, but people refer to it as Rhodesian (very minor difference).
  7. One person storms off, brand new account shows up with an ironic post about passive aggression. How can we ever solve this case Watson?
  8. Some more review bits from FirstSpear. Tough Hooks (for proper heavy gear, not airsoft kit) and their new adjustable mag pouch.
  9. You don't see russian SOF running around with wooden handguards, they've got more pic rails and lasers these days than your average Navy SEAL airsofter. Because that's the stuff that actually works when you're fighting for real and you want to win.
  10. There's been a 'Recce' version for... years. The 416D came out a good few months ago.
  11. https://youtu.be/fZE6p7lJInA?t=13s If that armour carrier doesn't adjust substantially such that it actually fits, then based on your build I'd suggest when you replace it (which you'll end up wanting to very soon) you look at a far more modern cut or shape, along the lines of a Warrior DCS or copy of a Crye JPC.
  12. You're saying you have an AEG that shoots 4 MOA in real firearm terms, so in the region of the average military issued carbine. If that's repeatable, that's quite the feat indeed.
  13. Haha, saw those, don't play a lot of frisbee though. After spending many, many days just walking up and down expo halls I've honed my instincts for sniffing out this stuff. I also own gear from the vast majority of those brands, or if it's illegal to own here I work on it, so that's an easy talking point to start with and I will absolutely brown nose for free patches - no hesitation.
  14. Spent some time walking around DSEI this week. Not as swag-heavy as SHOT because it's mostly procurement people in suits buying boats and guided missiles so the stalls give out a lot of pens, but I diligently hunted down what tacticool stuff was there. Yes that is a spinner with the branding of an armoured glass company on it. If anyone's not heard of the expo, my coverage is going up on FB/IG - www.facebook.com/RemfTacticool
  15. Bought (supposedly) 3 sets of Crye G3 combats, all 32R. Package turned up with 2 sets on and another pair of UKSF custom Gen 2 combats in 30L.. oh well, luckily they happened to fit my brother and he fancied a pair, the others can go on the bay. Tempting to keep a set because I'm a terrible hoarder but I really really don't need 2 pairs in normal MC.
  16. I've got a nasty-ass all plastic wobbly af Double Eagle pump action Marui tri-shot clone that I bought for about £45 years and years ago before the credit crunch hit; ran with it one time at the mall and bloody loved it. I don't tend to use it as a primary but since it weighs sweet FA and requires no gas or batteries with a super simple internal mechanism, it's my most common backup gun to sling in the other section of my rifle bag.
  17. Just bought the alterations, the clothes themselves I'd already owned for years but they needed to be tailored a little to get with the times. Sort-of RAID mod issued BDU shirt and a desert night parka with extensive alterations throughout (including altering the insulated liner to fit).
  18. Plat-A-Tac VM chest rig, FirstSpear slimline Assaulters Gun Belt sleeve. I haven't put out reviews of either just yet but good kit all around. I only own 3 other chest rigs so I don't have much reference to go by with the VM, not in the grand scheme of the hundreds of options out there. One of the 3 is a chicom and the other 2 are super slim, purely modular rigs so totally the opposite to the VM being all built-in. I did have one of the old WAS Nemesis years ago which was honestly a lot better for airsoft with the open topped pouches, but if you had to do some serious sh*t and a chest rig fit the mission it'd be a good shout.
  19. Tbh it's literally just the wallet I've got to review, I've got a good friend in their clothing division who just had too much stuff laying around. The annoying part is they sent over a couple of other shirts and a jacket that look bloody sweet, but they never went on sale so I can't post them or a former SEAL will turn up and kill me with his tactical beard. However if you want a sticker just buy a patch from my store and I'll throw one in for free... Not one of the 'Banana Clip' ones though, only got 2 and I'm going to use them on my EMAGs in work.
  20. Gun bits+pieces to put the finishing touches to a couple of AEG builds (first and last time I buy anything APS). Stuff to review from Magpul.
  21. Tiffany never actually made these guns AFAIK, there's a lot of pictures around online that would suggest it but they're all rigged up. A New York fashion store selling firearms? I think anyone who knows the politics in NYC and amongst the US (or indeed global) fashion industries generally will see the unlikelihood of that: http://www.alloutdoor.com/2015/08/14/the-tiffany-pistol-is-it-really-a-thing/ First picture makes it look real right? Except there's no box there that the gun would actually fit in. The cardboard bag and the draw-string bag are just packaging from jewellery or whatever. Though if anyone has a definite link from Tiffany's themselves proving me wrong I'd be honestly interested in seeing that. Either way, paint job looks well done, it's a unique colour and for me personally definitely an improvement on some of these 'Glock' models WE put out.
