  1. I wouldn't say you failed at anything, it's airsoft you have no limitations placed upon you. However the main featured rifle in Lone Survivor was a Mk12 (556), so if you did want a Mk11 (762 NATO) you're on the wrong calibre with that Krytac. I've not seen Love Survivor, but if you're going for this gun: Then as things stand, you'd need to change everything but your upper to get a close replication. Obviously how close you want to get on copying the details is entirely a preference, if you just want the vague style not a super-picky uber-accurate impression; just change to a quad rail and alter a couple of accessories on the current build then paint it and it would be along roughly similar lines in terms of general style.
  2. IMHO, that ARES looks pretty decent right now. Not a fan of the accessories on the Krytac, but if it works for you it works for you.
  3. Little box from FirstSpear for reviewing. 'The Asset' FR combat shirt Hybrid Ops-Core helmet cover
  4. How's the SureFire 60 replica? Presuming that one's a hi-cap?
  5. All gravy holmes. Picked some good options, I've not tried any of their belts but the design of that one makes a lot of sense, should hopefully work well for ya.
  6. Some recent Plat-A-Tac releases they sent over for me to look at.
  7. The manual literally says use an 11.1.. the LiPo fear mongering is so real.. Tried mine with a 7.4v just to see, it did not work right at all. Sluggish turn over of the GB, burst didn't work right, but soon as the 11.1 went in there - perfect.
  8. Have to say, I feel the chances of that mesh actually being tough enough for airsoft usage are really really slim. £3.50 is not usually enough to get acceptable eye pro.
  9. Everyone I know was going 'typical multiglam good guys' so yeah; at least I have plenty of cold/wet weather gear in MC and MTP. Figured that was a TM but that lower seems a little different, engravings look better than any of mine, is it stock?
  10. See ya there mate. What brand is your M4 out of interest?
  11. The fact you actually got a product you paid for when dealing with the person behind those grenades is impressive as it is.
  12. Quick tip if you've not already tried it; those 2 little 'ears' on the tops of the ITW FastMags are designed to tuck under the webbing, saves having to use all those zip-ties.
  13. Thanks Tom. That sale finished fairly quickly sadly. However I've been chatting with the marketing guy at Arktis regards testing out their latest iteration and he's kindly done up a discount code for me to give out: REMF10 I'm not getting paid, or free gear, or anything else from them, just getting lent a set of the trousers to use for a few weeks. They gave me that however to distribute, so anyone can use it for 10% off anything on their site. No time limit right now but I'd imagine they'll run it for a month or so at minimum.
  14. Some good shots there Jam, couple of times the focus is maybe a little off in terms of the depth but the lighting is 100x better than most indoor pictures of airsoft stuff. What's your camera out of interest?
  15. Thanks mate, I got fairly lucky on finding stuff in my size at some good prices, though still need to track down some kneepads. A lot of people are down on the stuff, but it's hard to segregate the hating-because-not-crye comments from the genuine comments. We shall see.
  16. Last batch of deliveries (from a couple of months ago now). I set myself a goal of totally changing around my camo/clothing collection this year, so that's what I've been going for. Tru-Spec NYCO Combat shirt VERTX Combat shirt Patagonia Level 9 Blouse Beyond Field shirt Crye AC Field shirt Crye Army Combat Pants Patagonia Level 5s (softshell) Patagonia L9 Lowers x 2 Crye AC Field Shirt
  17. People talk about joule creep in gas weapons, because it's well documented. Spring and electric guns.. not a factor comparatively speaking.
  18. Yo dawg. Heard you like bags. j/k, I carry my ear defs inside a sack inside a backback full of other bits which is inside a large pack that holds my PC, belt and extra clothes.
  19. Personally I only care about the fashion parade, I'm 100% useless at the game itself. Woe betide the team that get lumped with my fat ass. I'm the guy who chucks a grenade then hits the lip of the window and bounces it back inside to team kill everybody.
  20. Bit of an amalgamation of deliveries, trying to expand my range of camo a bit. Crye G3 Combat trousers - Multicam Crye G3 Combat knee pads Plat-A-Tac Tac Dax MkII - Kryptek Mandrake UF-Pro combat shirt - PenCott Greenzone OPS Combat shirt - ATACS-IX Safariland for G17+ x300 Safariland for G21 + x300 Emdom IAP Magpul Core technical gloves PIG FDT-Bravo FR Gloves Patch
  21. As a person with a car 'owners' club' badge in their sig; I do not believe this. We all know what you're like.
  22. Very little that's high-end or high quality, but hey it's all free and if I go to a milsim again I'll not need to buy anything much. Can't remember everything present exactly, but a rough list. Desert, Temperate and Safety boots Osprey Mk4 + Ops panel + soft armour inserts + side plates (until I get the proper ones) + soft armour collars and brassards + about 30 pouches + misc ancillaries 3L Cameback (bladder and carrier in MTP) Sealskinz socks Sweat rags Bullet proof hi-vis belt Knee pads Warm weather sleeping bag + liner + stuff sack MTP Bivvy sheet + stuff sack PCS Trousers x 4 PCS Shirt PCS Full-pattern UBACS with ballistic collars x 4 Washing bag Microfiber towel Mosie head net Tan shemagh Anti-bac boxers x 4 Ballistic boxers x 3 Soft-armour filled groin guard 'Lightweight' gore-tex jacket and trousers Arid coveralls x 2 Gerber multi-tool and torch + Silva head torch Boonie Large and small MTP rucksack covers Carabiner Ear plugs Revision Sawfly x 2 Revision Desert Locust Extra GSR canisters Extra rank tabs Synthetic T-Shirts x 4 Already had the cold weather stuff from previous Falklands trip, so there'd have been a lot more otherwise. MSM Admin pouch and pack my own, pack was a stand-in for the MTP daysack that finally pitched up at stores the day after. I'm sure I've forgotten some stuff, but that's 95% of it. My role entails a lot of SHTF type just-in-case preparedness for certain unpleasant scenarios, so I'm unlikely to need the infantry type kit for use outside a base area but they give it to us anyway.
  23. That's a pretty cool way to stack a single complete loadout in one place I have to say. I'm probably the only one thinking this, but personally I liked the fact you've actually covered it up. I see so many gun ranks and gear displays posted all over the place that look really sweet, but you know within literally a fortnight it'll all be covered in dust; that's why I keep everything in cupboards.
