  1. Regarding people: too many speedsofters indoor who act like they're in a tournament and they have to WIN at any cost to compensate for their small pp.

Advancement in technology is always a good thing.

When I was a kid rich people bought Marui or CA and poor people bought Cyma. Nowadays so many good manufacturers out there you don't have to spend silly money to get a really good gun.

  2. HPA adapter is better because you've got more capacity (either MP5 or M4) and you don't have to disconnect your line to reload. In my opinion it's unpractical to tap each magazines and very few people do it nowadays. Or just buy a CO2 pistol for winter conditions so you don't need a complete HPA system to counter cold weather.

Depending on the size of those-o rings I think that your magazines could be fixable if you manage to get the same diameter and thickness from ebay etc.

  3. Both are good altough Marui is manufactured for duster gas while VFC can run on green gas with ease. VFC aftermarket parts are plenty. VFC is 1:1 to the real steel Marui's size about 90% of the real deal. If you spend the same amount of money I'd buy VFC.

Both can crack around the charging handle but you can buy reinforced parts for this issue.

Hi just was looking for some advice on a kyrtac p90 that i got during the patrol base black friday sale.

I have tried numerous avenues to get the original magazines in the uk but the import charges were insane.

So I am looking towards other mags. I saw the TM and King arms Hi caps are currently sale. Are these mags worth purchasing? Fire support currently has 5 king arms hi hcaps for 90 quid which does not seem to be too bad. Does anyone have any advice with these mags?

They don't have the cut-off feature (gun doesn't shoot on empty). I'd get Double Bell low caps if I could because they're cheap.

I certainly wouldn't have a full metal green gas 1911 as my only pistol. Honestly, in terms of size, weight, performance etc, I think the TM G19 is one of the best sidearms around...but you should buy something you like the look and feel of. Just know that you're choosing the latter over reliability.

Marui G19's are known about low FPS though (that's why I never built one).

That’s the winner there if you want a hi cappa style pistol

I never get the incessant fascination for having a metal slide over usability , I mean if your just gonna sit in the house and touch n caress it when watching a gnu pron film (like I do)

    Fair enough

But I know, when it comes down to it, my plastic slide TM will work every time I pull it out in the few and far between times I have needed to

If you want to run it on HPA around green gas pressures metal slide is gonna be needed sooner or later. No one knows when a plastic slide cracks I know. :)

Also metal can be alu it doesn't have to be cnc'd steel. Personally I wouldn't put a steel slide on any of my pistols but it's about personal preferences like everything in this hobby.

    thanks.

    It is... I have one.

Hadn't considered the AUG but I have an A1 AEG & only really crave the AUG LSW which is as rare as unicorn poo.

I have a couple of FAL's already & don't fancy lugging a GBB battle rifle around in game, (besides my FAL AEG is too hot for my local site & already have 5 pews getting down graded or 'fixed')

Thanks, I'm tempted by an L85 but sidelined it as I already have 7 in my collection & the only 'new' feature would be it's a GBBR.

I do want an L119 at some stage but will wait of prices to drop before I commit to either A1 or A2 & by the time that happens I'll prob be looking for a KS1

I already have a couple of G36 AEG's but they never light my fire to make me want to use them in game, got plenty of mags for them & a couple of rigs to wear especially for their mags but no desire to use the G36 in game yet

I have a G3A4 AEG & a prop G3 and despite saying I'm not keen on lugging a GBB battle rifle in game, this is prob one I'd consider.

Interesting choice but I have an AEG version & it's heavy as hell.

lol, hense my seperate budget for mags.

I already have an TM MP7 GBB & a Vorsk VMP1 GBB, looking for something more rifle'y

Well, I'm not gonna recommend GHK M4 because they've got horrible QC reputation so either VFC HK416A5  or Marui MWS.

hi guys, the mp5 has been out for a while now so was just wondering what are people's favourite options with regards to top rails and handrails for more mounting options.. thanks :)

Cyma MP5/G3 claw mount is rock solid. Cyma extended m-lok didn't stay in place due recoil so that was wasted 35 quid for me personally.

None of the aftermarket handguards are generous regarding battery space but for me Midwest repro (Wii-Tech) offered absolute fuck all so I sold it and I bought a Magpul SL instead. More importantly you should solder your battery to mr30 because you save a lot of space not using that tamiya to mr30 adaptor.

I hope the Gen 5 glock is only delayed and not abandoned because the cool factor of the steel slide gen 5 is just too high

Marui is already in the making of the Gen. 5 G17. But it's gonna take some time to get aftermarket parts for it (it happens eventually).

GHK is known about their abysmal QC problems in the last few years so I woudn't get too exited about any of their guns. More importantly it's insane how much money you have to pay for them.

I've noticed over the last year or so that more and more people are selling their gear off because they are getting out/ not playing as much or just have no time to give to Airsoft anymore ☹️

Economy... Airsoft is extremely expensive hobby even without spending money (guns/gear) on a regular basis.

If there's a good deal it sort of becomes news 😉

I could've put it in general discussion I guess, mods feel free to move it

Edit: Defcon have some decent reductions on TM gats... so if you're after an MWS or an NGRS it's worth a look...?

For retailers black friday means one thing usually. They put some silly, never seen RRP price before on guns and then they tell you how much you could save when in reality that gun never cost that much in the first place. 🤣

What I want is up to me bud, and as far as people being skint I've only got one thing to say........don't buy it if you can't afford it!!!

I wish you good luck. You're gonna need it. 🤣

  12. Why would you get rid of this and buy an mtw? It's nearly identical externally and internally. You're gonna sell it with a loss and spending 700 quid on a new mtw? Just asking. :)

I'd say 60-70% of the total value you spent on this build. Just be aware that people are skint so there is a chance you have to lower your price even further in the near future if you can't get rid of it.
